I'm pretty sure they do everything we do with the exception of us watching it on TV since America doesn't have Japanese channels.

Since almost all anime airs in the midnight, they usually record that series and watch it whenever they want. Or at least that is what I've heard, I might be wrong though.

All of the above.

They do all of it, but TV would be the most common.

As it seems, using an old meme to fill a character limit warrants a teenager to talk to me about day jobs. top kek

I doubt your mount Fuji will be snowing on anyone with that attitude. It felt kinda like a rap battle so I decided to treat it like one.

tv ratings are better way to measure things

They watch it on TV while we download it ILLEGALLY. Yes, anime studio don't care about us(and they certainly don't care our critical review). Japan is the only relevant market.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

HDTV assuming they have one, otherwise old TV.
They probably record most shows that run late at night using a DVR or a BDR or what ever recording device they have.

The VHS days are probably over.

they can also watch it on nico nico
and rent dvds/blurays for cheap
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

In 2016? How are they watching TV differently than any other year? Anyway, they're fortunate enough to have channels. I'm sure they have to do something differently for hentai though. Maybe streaming?

Catchy nonetheless. Would've been good if they actually did this. Japanese people needs to experience old cartoons such as: "Megas XLR", " Martin's Mystery" etc.

I believe they use their eyes. I think Asians have the same biology as the rest of us humans.

Don't quote me on that though, might be wrong.

Incorrect. Our Asian senses are strong enough so that we can telepathically watch Anime with our eyes closed.

Anime for them airs on TV, so I assume the main method of viewership is through the TV, at least initially. You ever download an anime episode and notice that lil logo in the corner, or that bombarding text that appears onscreen once in a blue moon? that's because most anime is ripped from Japanese TV channels, and thus, the network's logo is branding the corner, and there's one or two messages, usually related to the anime's promotions (OP and ED singles, about BD sales, etc), that scroll across the bottom of the screen about midway or so through the episode.

We don't think of them consuming anime that way because we're so accustomed to watching it the way we watch it elsewhere, but in Japan, they air anime on television like any other ol' program, it's just part of their culture that isn't part of most others- America, the West, most other countries in general, don't have anime on television, it's not a hot commodity, but in Japan, the home country of anime, that's the main method to gather viewership.

Now, I can answer this one. I have Japanese students whom I occasionally talk and chat about anime and I learned from them that they basically watch anime on TV. For example, gintama anime is aired every wednesday on TV at 7 pm or One Piece is aired on Sunday mornings. Crayon shin-chan is aired every morning and soon. It seems the timeslot that the anime is really matters. For example, back when Another is still airing, it is in the midnight slot because they are targeted for older people more than younger people.
They could also actually record the episodes that is aired on TV so they can watch it on a different day whenever they are busy. So, there you go XD
