yes thats exactly why i didnt play novice ranked that much, the easier difficulties dont have enough variety for me (i do understand though its supposed to be geared toward newer players), but on the other hand expert has too much variety so its just better and more productive to play novice, since not only is it shorter but i'd also be able to guess more of the songs
and i agree w/ there being an advanced ranked, most of us aren't experts at this game (but if it did exist, expert ranked would die even more lol.)

its solely because of novice ranked that i dont mind when seasonals gets boosted, more songs for it to choose from and i learn a good amount of those anyway

yeah i've never been too concerned with not knowing free stuff since 1. i didn't play novice enough for it to be needed anyway and 2. most songs are in the harder difficulties so it doesnt matter, but i noticed that i often lose out on bonus points because of it lol

on the other hand, if you dont know it then its just a disadvantage, good thing i dont need to know my list in ranked, which ive always played sporadically but ill be playing more often to discover some free songs (because im not very good at those...)

honestly we should play again soon, maybe we could do private lobby? but the problem is i still know only ops, i've tried to learn alot of eds but i forget them easier, but also i play op lobby 99.9% of the time so.
like i legit just started learning inserts last week loool (listening to one as i type this, it's called Saigo no Kibou by Megu Sakuragawa, i probably should learn my list but i was never good at comitting to that 💀)
