But personally I wouldn't recommend watching Unicorn as a standalone either but I know a bunch of people who did that and still somewhat enjoyed it. Basically you're not gonna enjoy the movie as much as I did without prior attachment to the cast and franchise but it's good enough to still work on some levels as a standalone. |

I have only watched the first movie and 99 eps of the TV series so far, but maybe this (http://myanimelist.net/anime/1481/Urusei_Yatsura__Haru_da_Tobidase) and the first movie could introduce you to the franchise well enough. |

| Sora no Woto ep6 reminded me of Im@s episode 8, except it wasn't nearly as good. The trolling was hilarious, but it failed at putting together all its pieces to create something meaningful. The episode about Noel (4) had the same problem. |

Gundam, Uchuu Senkan Yamato and Leijiverse in general, Black Jack Lupin III, Urusei Yatsura, Youkai Watch, Macross, Saint Seiya, all the Shin-chan movies, and those are just some of my 'ongoing' (with varying priorities) projects. Not to mention stuff I still want to get into at some point like Votoms, Inazuma Eleven and Hokuto no Ken. Recently I'm so busy watching long franchises that I barely have time to watch some 1-cour or 2-cour shows from my ptw. |
