An anime you love so much you would die for it

This is probably going to be ridiculous to most, but is there an anime that you enjoyed and loved so much that you would literally give your life to prolong its existence? (If you didn't die, all copies and footage from it would be gone forever and all you would have left are your memories. Would you be fine with that?)

I think both Utena and Steins;Gate would be worth dying for, personally.

I thought the fillers of all the so called "Big 3" were a clear demonstration that artificially prolonging a show, Isn't necessarily desired.

Unless you're setting down a rule that it'll continue being good? Otherwise, none.

Not making the show longer but keeping a show that exists from not ceasing to exist. Like if all the episodes of Cowboy Bebop were gone forever or something.

You could just play the Steins;Gate VN.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

No, it's very subpar, like all Visual Novel adaptations.

Isn't Nodame Cantabile manga considered a masterpiece among most of its fans? Is the music in the anime that good?

You ARE better off playing the VN first, but it's actually a pretty good adaptation. I don't know of a way it could've been better adapted tbh (which is extremely rare in VN adaptations, they're usually shit). It's really popular here too, definitely a good show.

If it interests you, give it a watch. If you really want to compare it then play the VN and you could decide that way. No way to really figure out until you see how you enjoy it.

Steins:Gate was a decent show.

Not as good as people make it out to be.

But as with 99% of anime adaptions, you are better off going with the source material than the actual adaption.

With Steins;Gate specifically, I honestly think it's a much better experience in VN format, but the anime adaptation is a surprisingly good one.

This. It's very faithful to the VN, with only some crazier scenes and some phone conversations omitted.

well, adapting a visual novel with fully orginal plot is difficult, because it would take a huge load of episodes, meanwhile long anime these days only have 24 eps

yeah, but look at it this way: instead of having to settle for a measly 25 episodes, you can enjoy it for 30-50 hours ;D

also you might actually want to start with the anime if you like miyano over the top-ness because they talk slower in the vn in a lot of instances
i like them in the vn more but that might be cus i started with it, dunno, so yeah, make your choice.
