Mostly every BL adapted into Anime form is dubcon (aka rape/sexual harassment). It's popular and it sells. That's why I don't really use BL Anime when I discuss the genre. The few that aren't rape: Kono Danshi series, Love Stage!, Hybrid Child, Gravitation, Gakuen Heaven and some of the BL game adaptations like Dmmd that have no romance/sex whatsoever. |

| a lot of yaoi fangirls tend to be like straight men who are into lesbian porn but otherwise homophobic so in this case that would mean being into yaoi and fetishizing gay men but thinking lesbians are gross etc personally i used to hate yaoi because so much of it has romanticized rape and a lot of the fans are creepy. now i know there are actual good titles but i usually wait for a recommendation before looking at anything. i used to love yuri when i was 13/14 before it started annoying me that most of the newer titles are essentially just moe fluff with no substance. now i mostly just wait for recommendations, like with yaoi. ehhh m/m and f/f fanfiction written by actual queer people is better imho |
