| Hello! I've recently gotten into anime and really want to "taste-test" as many genres as possible. I've only been watching for a week but so far I've seen Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Though Time, 5 Centimeters Per Second, and 10 episodes of Cowboy Bebop. So what I want to ask is: What is your favorite anime genre? And what do you think the best movie or short episodic series in that genre? P.S. I am also starting a fund to pay for my mental health check up. I definitely need this after watching Wolf Children, The Girl Who Leapt Though Time, and 5 Centimeters Per Second all in the same week. | Drama= Honey and Clover Romance= Kimi ni Todoke Psychological= Welcome to the NHK SoL comedy= Kiniro Mozaic Supernatural= Natsume Yuujinchou Thriller= Baccano Pure comedy= Nichijou and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou It's better to keep your mind open, because anime is a broad medium and anything can be good. For instance, don't just wave away Shoujo and Josei, a lot of them are really good and you might like. |

| My favourite genre is by far "drama" but "slice-of-life" is a close second. (AnoHana is the best drama imo). A movie that you should definetly check out is "tsumiki no ie", 15 minutes of pure feels. |
