| That flashback in the first half seemed kinda pointless really, but I suppose it was good to know, even if it felt like a method of dragging out the plot as long as possible. The second half was better, but not a lot of it really made sense. All that it explained was why White reacted like that when the barrier thing was damaged a couple of episodes back. Also, I really don't see why the King of Despair needed to shoot White. How does that benefit him in any way whatsoever? |

| Oh wow, I really wasn't expecting this. So White was dead already, but being kept alive because of a barrier her parents made, but now Black finally killed her. If the anime ended here it would be a great cliff hanger for the second season, I wonder how they will fix the situation on the final episode. Also, White's mother was great. |

I think what it all boiled down to was it showed the connection between Black and White and why she ultimately chose Black over Leo. It was a matter of showing how much her family, more specifically, her brother meant to White. To be honest, I'll disagree and say the first half was better than the second, but only a sliver better. As for why the King of Despair shot White, I'm guessing since he can probably see into Black's memory, he knows about White's condition. Perhaps it will be better explained in the next episode, but I have a feeling that either Black and White's parents or White herself inconvenienced him, and since he was using White to get Leo's eyes, he had no more use for her. Although, one could argue that if he were just creating the second collapse anyway, it would seem redundant to shoot White. So, a catch-22 indeed in that logic. |

I really love Rie Kugimiya's performance!! And good thing the beginning of the first episode occurs at the end of this one rather than the last episode. |

| Matsumoto you're a fucking genius. A little late for finally dedicating an episode on the anime original characters in my opinion, but the execution was so good that I don't even care. Yes, knowing character motivations is pretty damn necessary in order to tell a decent story. Sure, the plot would still move on in exactly the same way with or without the flashback, but what's the point in that? The audience wouldn't have a clue as to why the plot is moving in that direction nor would they have any reason to give a shit about what happens to these characters which have only had minimal screen time so far. It also confirms and solidifies the strong bond between the two siblings that had only been hinted at the last couple of episodes. My only problem is that this episode should have came 5 episodes earlier, to give us a chance to actually care for these characters. |
| Okaaay well the backstory about White and black was great, but what in the actual... happened afterwards. It was sad enough, though so many things happened, i'm not quite sure i understood everything, it looks like the end of the world, the way that everyone got possessed by the eyes, combined with Black's physic power and lots of explosions. The next episode must clear the rest up for me, yes :3 |
| I dislike this ep. I don't really care about the twins. How could white take something from leo just because she wanted black back? so wrong. and leo did nothing wrong and also treated her so well. ungrateful. I hope the twins were already dead. Leo always suffered so much. it was so obvious that black will never be back. This ep seems so out of it from the rest. |

I doubt he'd meaninglessly kill her and if crushing the barrier would be enough to end her life then he'd probably have left her alone, hence why I believe the barrier couldn't have been broken unless he killed her. |

| WHITE! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so at least those glasses things didn't kill Leo. They made it sound like they were some device to rip his eyes out or some shit. Backstory was a big long, but nice. At least we now know how White's heart is connected to the seal on the city. Something happened to her during the great collapse and her parents replaced her heart with a barrier connected to the barrier holding the city together. Still not sure about Black's motives here. He mentioned something about being forgotten by death. Does that imply that he wants to die? If so, what does causing a second Great Collapse have to do with that? So much for him keeping his promise with Will not to hurt Mary. I'm sure when he said "don't do anything to my sister", that point blanking her in the chest was on the "don't do that" list. Hope White lives. If she dies, then the point of introducing anime only characters into the story is basically pointless. Manga readers said the plot is basically the same, but they're just doing it differently by using White and Black. If they kill them off, what was the point of deviating from the main story? Besides, we need MORE White x Leo! I assume she is dead now, but maybe when the Libra group saves the city they are able to save her with the barrier somehow, and maybe possibly stop Black and free White from the hospital too. |
| We finally got see the full backstory of White and Black. Even if this was anime only episode and not part of the manga I actually like it. I got understand both Black and White and love the twin bond between them. I was surprised that Leo didn't say anything to try and stop White. And I hope White survive that gun shot because Black would be devastated if he's know that King of Despair had kill his sister, his only family in the world. Damn one more episode left. :( |

| I hope everyone understands that the gunshot was a flashback, when Black merged with the king of depravity he shot white in the heart, which is why every time the barrier on her heart weakens she feels the pain, because as soon as the barrier breaks, that bullet will shatter her heart... he didn't kill her in present time technically, but she will be dead if that barrier breaks. |
| I honestly didn't like this episode. The series is short itself, limited to 12 episodes, and I think the addition of a candid episode will just leave out some loose ends by the last episode. It was okay, I guess. I really dislike flashbacks in the most part. |

| More backstory about Black and White. Hooray for William for being an awesome big brother. White just wants her brother back. I re-watched the second half and believe me, we just witnessed things that are overwhelming in this episode. One of them is Mary getting shot right in the chest. Unexpected outcome indeed. Last episode next week. I have a huge feeling it's gonna be a good finale. |

| My feelings towards this series have been very conflicted and this latest addition doesn't do much to help me. To elaborate, I feel like this show really lacks focus. Considering this episode on its own merits, it was really great and the best one yet imo. However, it felt out of place and just really doesn't fit with what the show has been doing so far. The overarching plot has a different tone than the rest and is very loosely integrated into it. While this episode made me care a bit for White and Black, it's not nearly enough. |

Ah, yes, thanks. Holy fuck, it doesn't feel like we're going to the last episode now. It feels like I'm still waiting for some things to happen. I can't wait for the finale hOLY FUCKKKKKKKKKK. This episode was great, despite not having any of the rest of the characters. And now I remember the very first episode, and how Leo still offered his hand at White at the first part. Thinking at it now..... ;___; Damn White must feel so guilty. |
