| How many of you have tried using your non dominant hand for different things? What sort of challenges or advantages have you observed? What's your intention of doing it? I am not to the point of ambidexterity but ive tried eaten noodles using chop sticks left handed, using a fork and knife left handed, brush my teeth left handed, and played pool left handed. The only one of those i feel proficient at is the chopsticks. I am considering learning to draw left handed. How long would it take to develope into a good artistic ability. Would a lefty be better at art than someone who uses their right hand? |

| I'm ambidextrous. I am naturally left-handed, but I was taught to use my right hand while I grew up. The end result was that I became proficient using both. |

| I do everything with my left hand... Writing, painting, mouse, sports, etc. It's the more skilled and the stronger hand. I'm not useless with my right hand, of course, but it's far from natural. I don't use it first for any task. My writing with my right hand is legible but slow and poor, and using the computer mouse doesn't go very smoothly either. I like to purchase equipment altered to suit left handed people, like scissors, can opener, guitar, etc. When I think about daily life, I can think of many things which are made for right handed people, maybe more than most people notice... |
