| I couldn't care less about there not being any action, or it containing flashbacks. As long as it's well-told. I'll take background- and character-building dialogue over stomach punches any day of the week. This was a great episode. The flashbacks are from effin years ago, people. It's good to get reminded from time to time. Especially in a series like this, with hundreds of episodes. Sure, we all might remember the gist of what happened to Gaara, but I found it great to get the build-up of emotions again - something I obviously lost a few eps past the original airing of Gaara's childhood years ago, as always - things like that don't stick around long on account of new shit happening. It really made the conclusion of this episode work tremendously. My eyes went a bit foggy I have to say. |

| So sentimental episode... But it was OK. I have always known that Yashamaru lied (ok, I didn't know). Now I undaerstand, why Gaara still has his sand. And in the next episode Itachi will fight! And Nagato also is going to be there! I love these guys! |

| Episode 297: Good episode, it shows a regretful father who was awful with his son, put the village before his son, but there was something else... The love from Karura to Gaara that always protect him and is always there, even tough she died after Gaara was born "There's just one thing that can heal a wound of the heart.... Love." 4/5 |
