NO inner monologue, No shirou prep inner dialogue about dodging, no last minute dodging, way less impressive SHirou feats.

Gay Bulge btw looks similar to Prisma Illya's fragrach animation

He means they don't show Shirou's monologue during his battle with Lancer. So it looks like he just runs.

Reading a VN came naturally to me because i loved reading books.

Is that it? what about you guys?

I know we can't get everyone to just go and read the VN solving all their (And our) problems, but i still think ima make that #1 option.

I think you're overlooking several aspects that make VNs so appealing. I've never been a big fan of regular books mylsef. VNs are an entirely different experience. You have visuals, voices, music... so in that sense, it's pretty similar to anime. But you also have more character development and a deeper story.

I can safely say I've spent much more time reading VNs than watching anime, and I think many people would get hooked on VNs as well if they gave it a try. VNs are much more than a whole bunch of words.

I don't necessarily agree with this statement. VNs and LNs have an unfortunate language barrier that is usually overcome with shoddy translations. Reading a book originally written in one's native language is a very different experience than reading a translated version. I love reading books, but I have a tough time getting immersed in VNs and LNs.

That is just a motivation to learn the language of the original, is it not?

Not surprised about the monologues, really. I imagine that some of them will stay, but mid-fight, it wouldn't work well in animated form.

Without a legitimate fate route adaptation the whole "Experience" we try to get anime-only fellaz to enjoy is kinda out of reach.

The 3 Routes need each other like peanut butter and jelly.. and bread.
Bread?

Always thought it was a baseball bat.

The "reading the VN first" option is indeed pretty tough one cause the person has to be or get used to the medium, look past the possible mistranslations/poor tranlations, and more generally bear with and Nasu's very verbose style of writing.
Add to that the fact that the VN is like 100+ hours long, which is pretty frightening especially you put that next to the average length of a 2-cour animu series, and I wouldn't actually blame some newcomers to be scared away by that monster.

WrongPriest said:

Yeah, some of those are bound to be missing, but that's what comes with any adaptation after all. Now let's just hope UFOtable will find creative ways to convey the characters' feelings/struggles through other means than wordy inner speeches.

The dream sequences are probably safe tho, cause that's still pretty easy to show without needing to tell.

Ufotable is doing a great job. This is pretty much as loyal as you can get, and I'm glad that ufotable has covered all the essential points in, as always, very impressive visuals.

5. Well, I hope hollow ataraxia and Apocrypha eventually get an adaptation, yes.
6. I have read the MB/FSN crossover doujinshi, but I'm not hoping to get an official one. Excluding a fanservice gag show like Carnival Phantasm, I don't see any reason to adapt an anime or even make a crossover in the first place, when people are demanding the Tsukihime remake and possibly later its anime adaptation (because it never got a proper one).

Hmm thanks,do I expect some of my first 4 questions answered in UBW?But doujinshi was fun (more mainstream type and not ecchi/hentai) it was around 8 chapters I think but I don't think it had a conclusion. :)

No, but it'll render a large portion of Heaven's Feel moot. But since you ended up watching the DEEN adaption (how?), one of the points is spoiled there. Watch Zero if you need your Fate fix now, or just go along with UBW

Fate/Zero spoils UBW a bit (not a lot though in my opinion), but it's a lot more harmful to the final route, Heaven's Feel. As stated in the OP, shock and mystery factor are lessened by seeing FZ before FSN, but it's still a worthy experience. Just keep that in mind, should you decide to watch FZ before UBW.

If I remember correctly, the Q&A they showed at the early screenings revealed that they would start working on HF once they are finished with UBW. And since UBW's BDs will come out at the end of 2015, then the movie BD has to be released and subbed...

Well, that's why I think it's no good recommending to stall FZ until HF comes out.

Considering I have to wait 7 whole more days till Episode 2.

Probably not.

I'll add this, if you can stomach one VN in your entire life. Make it this one. It has pretty much everything.

I'm not biased.

Also then it doesn't matter which order you watch them. Everyone wins.

I don't know, if it isn't accidental it's kind of their own fault for not doing even a little bit of research.

I think there'll be quite a few casualties of Deen within the next month or so

People will want to know what all the fuss is about and just go watch the 1 1/2 hr movie, especially during the wait for the 2nd half.

Fate/stay night's experience with anime has been an absolute disaster, the only iteration that's enjoyable after reading the VN is Carnival phantasm.

But FSN will still always be on 90% of top 5 VN lists, so it's got that going for it.

Problem with DEEN is they either try to make it look good but it's a still image, or try to make it move fluidly but are too lazy to make it look good. Sometimes they fail at both. And some other times, at least as far as Fate/ is concerned, they don't even try to portray what the novel was describing.

Meh. Whatever.

Speaking of KnK, it turns out the KnK movies are the same order as in the novels (as in movie 1 = chapter 1). Should have searched the damn facts instead of letting "chrono vs. release" questions confuse me -_-

Shirou and Shinji used to be friends. That was before high school and before he started raping Sakura. Shirou liked Shinji's honesty, despite his rude way of talking, and they often hung around and talked.

As for why anyone would want to be friends with him in high school... probably the wakame hair. Yeah, the hair. That must be it.
