It was more true to the manga, the ''feeling of his eyes''.

Yeah we know what is more "true" to the manga but what does that have to do with AhmedHan thinking it was "better" before?

You say that as if it's fact and no one could think otherwise or personally prefer how some specific scenes where handled.

Yes, they could. But some scenes changes how we are supposed to look at the characters according to Togashi's manga.

Then that is what AhmedHan did. You going it's not "true" to the manga*derp* wasn't relevant to AhmedHan's personal opinion. It's an adaptation, it's not going to be 100% and any subsequent changes are to be expected. The question isn't about whether they are changes but whether or not people liked the anime as a product. So don't talk about changes as if they are unquestionable bad just because it's a change. Each change presents the same chance of a viewer liking it or not liking it just as each chapter in the manga could be liked or disliked by a reader.

I don't know why you guys come and bitch about minute things on a weekly basis.

Comparing this series with the 1999 version is stupid. It should only be compared to the manga. This version is fucking awesome, enjoy it.

killua with a knife when he doesn't need one.. im so sad. The problem, at least for me, is not the pace... its the epickness taken out from Killua. Still wasn't so bad.

The scene was identical to the one in the manga. Sadaso doesn't know that Killua is a professional assassin, thus it would have looked odd if Killua had threatened him with his fingers.

So what if he needs one or not? It's about sending a message. A knife does just that.

Notice how in the 1999 series Killua had to "demonstrate" his hand claw power?
How did he do that? I don't remember Killua ever having such powers.

Now for someone who says "What about when it looks like Sadaso's face got cut in half?" But was that Killua causing an illusion or Sadaso fearful premonition? I think it's the latter because it reminds me of a much later scene in the Chimera Ant Arc.

I don't think Killua has Tsukiyomi.

Wasn't it "taped with nen" or something like that?

There was nothing like that in the manga. Just like in the real world that sometimes cameras and videos capture "ghosts", the HxH world's Nen (as an "unseen" force to most people) can be recorded as well BUT can only be seen by people who knows Nen.

Never said anything about that. The guy saw the 1999 version, so I thought it was rather silly of him to complain about it.

It's a general info dump in case someone else will complain as it's also been talked about in the forum I lurk as well. I know your being sarcastic to the guy.

This is slow for you? You've watched the old series. Compared to that, this is fast.

It's probably because I have to wait a week for some fights I already know the outcome of, not even because I saw the original but because it's obvious... I just want the tower over with and get on with the phantom troupe

Then it's your own problem, instead of the pacing of the show.

Meh episode they should've done three chapters this time
But that last minute of killia was cool

It's not a very action packed episode but I was rather pleased
with how it was handled.

I love the little inclusion of Gido being handed the shoe.
It's not in the manga but Zushi's shoe was missing
and it was good attention to detail by Madhouse.

But don't worry there will be PLENTY of action in the next episodes.

Yea
Not looking forward to next week's either
Just wanted these two eps to be over 1 to go
Kastro's fight was so epic i dont really care for these little guys anymore

I remember quite a number of people considerably enjoying this arc in the 1999 anime, but never really here...why exactly is that? I'd like to know precisely.

I mean, if it hadn't been for my friend enjoying this arc as much as he did then, it wouldn't have been very likely for him to suggest that I watch this series.. O___O

So I got this crazy idea that the promise between Killua and his father was made using Nen and actually if Killua betrays his friends, something will happen with his body or his mind or his dad will find out, stuff like that.

Also I think Wing's teacher was Gon's father. I think we will continue to see people who know of or have met Gon's dad throughout the journey :D

btw I didn't say it on the last discussion but I think that Castro lost pretty easily.. and how is it that Wing is so fkin strong he could see the threads from Hisoka's body..

and well Killua took care of that guy who tried to threaten Gon :D

So apparently they have equipment that can not only record these spirit threads which are only able to be viewed by people who are highly skilled in a specific application of nen, but the playback equipment retains the special qualities of the spiritual abilities that were used.

It's like filming an explosion and when you play it back it releases the same amount of heat. Simple filming cannot store such data or energy, and to reproduce the requirement of using gyo to view the nen would require a much more elaborate setup than the shitty little flatscreen and dvd player in that guys room.

tldr
The video either should've recorded nothing spiritual at all (not viewable even when using gyo), or if it did record it, then it should've been visible without any further interaction from the viewer.

Lol talking about nitpicking... But even in real life it is stated that some people can see aura (spiritual people) but of course that might be a lot of bullshit. A tv set caprtures aura too you just can't see it, I guess it works somehow like this... For example if you record a video of a high frequency sound, a human can't hear it but a dog for example can.

Or Aura could be something that's not within the visible spectrum but doesn't mean it can't be recorded, and people who use Nen are not using gyo to somehow bring back the nen somehow trapped inside the screen, but just view the visual effects it had already left on the monitor itself.

Like I said though, unless the equipment they're using is able to capture nen somehow, (and reproduce its effects nonetheless) then this wouldn't be possible. It's impossible to say for sure how nen is perceived due to our mortal limitations, but I'd assume it's sensed differently? As in there would need to be specific equipment needed to both capture and display it that is separate from the normal audio/visual experience.

Regardless, even if the nen were able to be perceived through normal audio-visual equipment, the equipment itself would need to be up to par.

For example, you could take a picture with your camera of where you think the hubble deep field is, but no matter how much you alter the image you won't be able to see what you're looking for, even if you put it under a microscope (which is the best mortal analogue to gyo I could think of lol).

Anyway yeah I am kinda nitpicky lol. This whole thing doesn't really impact my experience though, just something I felt like pointing out that I know will probably never be satisfactorily answered, and that's ok. It's fiction after all!

Just one question
Why take Zushi's shoe and force Gon to fight if Killua already guaranteed a fight with Gon for them??

Hope someone can give me an answer :)
