Well, that was kinda cute. The girls in those standard clothing preparing for practice and trying to lose some weight. Still, I like their regular school uniforms better and the yukata.

Hana's little rage was amusing. I wonder about Machi's past though..

Well, the group does get the chance to perform on stage.

Poor Naru ;_;

Their first performance didn't end quite well. Naru's trauma is hunting her.

There is a glimpse of Machi's past. Something related being compared to your older sister perhaps. I can't wait for her to join the club.

I totally loved the Tami's and Naru's face embarrassed face in the beginning.

Their performance didn't end quite well.

Since that dream I had a feeling something bad would happen. That's sad, apparently Naru had some bad experiences in the past and it affected the dance.

They were all working so hard for that moment...

More than Naru's stage fright, I wonder what's wrong with Hana. She'd usually be the one to dance by herself and be fine, but I believe she's the one who messed up before Naru followed. Hana will probably feel a lot of guilt as a leader now...

The next episode is called "Sister Complex," implying something about the relationship between Machi and Sari?

And Naru has a trauma? Why did that only just showed up now? It feels out of place...

I got smiles and giggles for most of the part. Its funny to see Yaya looking so calm but see her legs shaking.

We now see Sally and Machis don't get along well, which give us a taste of drama for future episodes. I knew the performance will not end so well. Soon as Naru's trauma, her weakness was shown, I suddenly got a bad feeling its gonna haunt her and it did.

With two conflicts shown this, were gonna have some more drama next episode.

To be honest, putting this amount of drama is getting on me. It felt unnecessary and sometimes, out of place, but I know its for character development...Still can't help but think it would be better with little to no drama.

She has it since the first ep. (Remember how she was before she met Hana)

Also, nervousness on stage with many audiences can affect everyone.

Nice episode tho the cliffhanger was a bit frustrating, placing a cliffhanger at that moment is a crime.
I want to know what happens next!!

Well it was funny to see there first show like that still shame it almost went wrong at the end, hopefully something good will happen next time.

So Sally and Machi really are sisters, I kinda noticed the similarity.

That grin xD

I agree, Sally's sister should be Yui from K-On xD

Who on earth can refuse that 'dame', its killer!

Naru always make me smile with her continuous development. Damn she messed up (and Hana, too) Don't worry, Naru. Just be yourself, you can make a comeback!

They finally made it to their first event and seeing the butterflies in their stomach makes me want to root for them even more. Even I was concerned at the end of the episode on how the girls going to recover from the indecent. And this is a show I thought shouldn't be taken seriously.

Be still my doki doki kokoro. >.<

The girls suffer from butterflies before their debut performance. It seems next episode will be the roping-in of Machi as the 5th member of the club. I like how Sally-chan is so unreliable - arrives late, forgets CD, leaves Machi with the CD without giving her directions!!

We'll now have to wait until next week to see how the rest of the performance went.

Gosh Naru, why. Wanted to finish the rest of the dance, because tbh, the dance scenes are why I still watch the series. And the gorgeous animation. Although their eyes are a bit strange. OP is so catchy. Would be really good if the series was more like a yosakoi competition anime. Like they would already be really good from the start. Ahhhhh, that would be great. Instead of all this cheesy friendship stuff and pointless drama.

Sally-sensei is such an irresponsible person :P
Getting the music done and the event starting. It wasn't within my imagination's range, the stage and style of it.
Just when things were going so well! Do fall similarly to Naru's elementary performance :(
Hope they would somehow get back up and finish it!
Maybe the thing about Machi's past was something about Sally leaving home or something? Rebellious phase or something as a teenager :P
Really can't wait for a five person group! Having a center for some of their performances would be great!
Watching the naruko falling though... :(

omg, in llove!!
Love the rendition of the song as well, sounds great!

This was a great episode with humor spread throughout, though I always though Machi liked Tami.. Sister Complex says otherwise..

Machi and Sally drama, looks interesting, seems like Sally left Machi when she was younger.

That ending was hard to watch...It feels like they sort of went Anti-K-ON at this point. Bad things happened, and it didn't in a very positive way...Here's hoping they can get it resolved!

I never would have thought that Machi and Sally were sisters, but now that I see them together, i can see the resemblance...

She only has 4 more episodes to join them, so she better hurry!

This was a good episode, and raised the tension. Plus Tami and Hana were cute this episode as usual!

Machi is so ridiculously gay (lesbian?) for Tami, it's amazing. xD

I am kicking myself for not realizing Machi was Sensei's sister. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW, UGH. I'm curious as to what's going on between the two of them though. Yaya is awesome for creating the group's track. ;D Tami is still best girl.

NARU NOOOOO! I actually almost looked away from the screen because I had trouble watching. >.< Ironic how I can sit through something like Corpse Party yet cringe when something happens in a show about girls dancing yosakoi...

Can't wait for the next episode as always.

Naru: "You have such a great figure, though, Yaya-chan. I'm so jealous."
Yaya: "How hard do you think I work for - "

FOR WHO??? * Q * <33333

Yaya's drumming is great, but I really liked Tami's classical rendition of the song so I'm sad that they didn't use it :( The synthesizer sound just doesn't sit well with me.

I can't believe I didn't notice the resemblance between Sally-sensei and Machi before! When will our adorable student council president join in on the yuri-filled fun? Arghhh I can't wait! What confused me was the frown she had on the whole time while she was watching the girls' performance however.. Anyway, who could be able to refuse Tami ever with that face she made??? I swear these girls will be the end of me.

Well, along with the moe we got some angsty stuff going on with Machi and Naru. Naru's fear seemed pretty clear, and although I can guess Machi's situation it's still a bit ambiguous so I'll just wait and see. Not surprised that the performance didn't go perfect; in fact, I was expecting it, especially with all that foreshadowing. I can understand the anxiety before going on stage, so when the group began going off beat it's quite understandable. But the only thing that kept me from getting miffed at Naru's particular case is that they're still in middle school, which I seem to keep forgetting, so the elementary incident wasn't that long ago. Not to mention that Naru's a natural klutz, but still, you'd expect for her not to straight-on collapse with all that practice.

Ah.. it's only episode 8 though. Gonna have to suck it up and wait patiently ; v;

Oh nooooo! That was hard to watch >__< Still, you could see Naru trying her hardest. Having that kind of childhood trauma but still willing to go up the stage like that really shows how much she wants to change.

Reminds me of K-On's "Onee-chan! Imouto!" sequence XD!

Naru and Tami was so cute when they both got shy. They want to lose some weight I see. I thought they already knew that Sally and Machi are sisters.
Naru getting on her knees was something to be expected. Too bad though. Their performance was all but perfect.

Oh, so that is the story behind Machi and Sally-sensei. Didn't really notice they are sisters until it was foreshadowed this episode that she has a sister. Looks like Sally-chan-sensei has quite the achievements and Machi is being compared to her.

And the inevitable happen. Hopefully they get back on their shoes.

lol

Hmmm.. I'd like to pinch Tami's thigh as well, I wonder how soft it was. The yuri vibe between Tami and Machi is strong in this episode and the process to integrate her to the group has begun. Seems like her back story won't be something pleasant to watch.

Damn, they just had to fuck up in the end. I hope they can re-start the performance.

But I guess things get cleared up pretty quick next episode cause they don't show anything about it in the preview.
Or maybe after that mess up sally-chan wants to disband the club and that's why it looks like they are fighting on the roof?

This episode has a number of important developments. The most obvious is the Club's first public performance, which is spoiled by Naru's clumsiness, but it is right to note that Naru has perhaps come the farthest as a character in many ways.

Other notable incidents are Yaya's arrangement of the Yosakoi club's theme and the revelation that Machi is Sally's younger sister. This episode has Machi further drawn into the club's activities.

In this episode, I sensed an atmosphere less prone to comedy and more devoted to serious talk.
Not a bad plot, even today, there has been a cheerful and relaxed environment only.
On average, drawings, Madhouse could invest more in this series, in my opinion.
Not bad the twist on the degree of relationship between Machi and Sally-sensei.
Sally-sensei is set to Hana one of the funniest characters, very nearly steal the show at Naru and Yaya.
