It's natural for a person to deny he's a failure as a human being. That's why he searches for somebody who is more miserable than himself. That's why so much animosity exists on the internet. Those who aren't able to find a more miserable person, turn to the internet and call other people losers, even though they've never met. Just to make themselves feel superior. isn't that pathetic? There's a sense of security that comes from speaking badly of someone else. But that isn't true salvation. — Tatsuhiro Satou YandereTheEmo said: The only thing more pathetic than quoting someone you know nothing about, is quoting yourself. |

I have said it before and I will say it again Bebop just didn't work as well as an episodic anime like Champloo and Space Dandy. A lot of focus on Spike's past made it seem as if it would have been better of as an arc based type anime instead of an episodic one. Bebop's strongest points for me are the artstyle, animation and music. Bebop was a 90's tv series yet it looked like a 90's OVA or movie. |

First of it: is probably not what most people are looking for in this media. Second: they expect something in the lines of Code Geass, but with Bounty Hunters in Space (a lot of action with tons and tons of twists, something one could make many theories about what will happen in the next episode). Third: it's an episodic show with a definitive theme and pattern, and is the pinnacle of "style over substance". Probably is not what people are expecting to be, and not what they're wanting it to be. In other words, it's overrated because it's too unconventional for its own good, and works with more subtle themes and characters, extremely slow pacing (which is boring for a lot of people) and is episodic. Definitely not for everyone. Fixed! Durr! Stupid logic, I could use your statement for any anime, also I watch cow boy bebob before watching code geass, so that doesn't make sense as well. Excuses everywhere it's overrated get over it. That's your opinion. #Thread. I could use your statement for any anime, is such an easy task to make a masterpiece sounds terrible just by saying "boring", "overrated", "asspull", "forced drama", "average at best" and bla bla bla. I don't even need to watch to argue. Anyway, cry more about Cowboy Bebop being high rated. Damn that cat just prove how you really don't know how to behave and have a civilized conversation haha. It's certainly pathetic and laughable. |

Kolnikov said: Third: it's an episodic show with a definitive theme and pattern, and is the pinnacle of "style over substance". Definitely not for everyone. I never met anyone that considered Cowboy Bebop slow paced. Actually it does its best to put at least some fight/action in every episode. The themes are never developed, episodes always end up with the proverbial gunfight or exhibition of martial arts, not certainly what I’d expect from a “masterpiece”. Its characters are one-dimensional for the most part (just think about Vicious, literally a cardboard character), and it was the biggest disappointment for me. The episodic nature of the show wasn’t a problem for me; Mushishi, which is even more episodic, is one of my favourite shows. If you want, you can read my analysis of the first episode here (spoilers inside): This is one of the most disappointing introductions I've seen in a while. The world-building is almost nonexistent, the characters are nothing more than cardboard boxes, the comedy was dull and unoriginal. Am I really supposed to laugh at the protagonist that tries to hide food in his mouth? The shaman was the epitome of the lazy writing of the show. His predictions felt like a good ole deus ex machina that allowed the protagonist to predict the future, without giving any plausible explanation. The lacking character development leads to unanswered questions. Why did Katerina ask Solensan to spare Spike? Falling for a stranger just after meeting him sounds like lazy writing to me. Why did she kill Solensan in the end? They were going to be arrested, sure, but I fail to understand how that would be worse than dying, at least from the scarce information we have of their personalities. And why the hell the cigarette wasn't affected by gravity inside the Bebop, when the characters had their feet anchored to the ground? There are other flaws in the show, but explaining everything in one post might be too much to read. |

There are other flaws in the show, but explaining everything in one post might be too much to read. Hmm I recommended for like 10 guys IRL and some people on the forums. Like 60% of them said to me: "it was so boring that became unwatchable, and I'm looking for more hotbloded moments in anime, twists and a more engaging and linear plot". Also, at least more than the half of people here complain about the slow pace and the boring, zero content, zero development episodic format. My post was more an informal assumption about the guy who didn't like Bebop, in general, not the guy who's looking for it anxiously and loving it (majority of the viewers) for its style, soundtrack, art, animation, subtly, the good old western movie feeling and bla bla bla. Either way, don't need to elaborate a post for me about how you think Bebop is bad, I'm really not interested in discussing this. Now, I should download some more HxH episodes because I have until next week to catch up with it ): |

Best 4 min anime I ever seen. Fate/kaleid has me interested since I've seen quite a few GIFs and stills from the show and they are quite hilarious but I haven't read F/SN so I have a feeling that I will miss out on a bunch of references despite it being a stand alone story. Himegoto is definitely worth a watch, its really wat at times and its only 4 mins so its not much investment. Also [&]'s fun sub track is pretty hilarious, especially since they replaced the opening with a DMX song and everybody thought it was the actual OP. |

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei! would give max enjoyment for TM veterans. If you're not, and still choose to watch it, then you better not complain about things not making sense. |

From what I've heard, its certainly watchable as a stand alone show, it just has quite a lot of references to other TM series that will completely go over your head if you've not read/watched other TM stuff. I really do want to read F/SN especially since the 2014 anime is being hyped to high heaven but the fact I really don't have time and actually tracking down all the stuff I need to get it to work, including making it work on a windows VM makes it a bit difficult for me. |

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me |

Feaor said: Sometimes these references are important to the story which is why I'm saying one should know one or two things about Nasuverse. It probably won't affect enjoyment by a whole lot but sometimes you just don't want to miss anything :pBotato said: Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei! would give max enjoyment for TM veterans. Also at least read the first route of the VN, since the fall anime will be adapting the second 1 and you need some knowledge from the first one (which the 2006 anime really doesn't do a particularly great job at delivering). |
