Nomo's sketch time (no quizzes anymore. So fast, it's already the end of quizzes).
Game continues. The weather becomes bad.
The game ended before finishing up because it's pouring rain! Azuma said the another team is somewhat different from before. The game progressed faster than before.
Aoba is happily humming while taking shower and Mizuki heard her humming. Mizuki wanted them to lose so that they can build the camping tent. Nomo attacked him for saying that it's impossible for them to go to Koshien.
The rain's stopped and Aoba is going back to the dorm. Akane's not here because she doesn't feel well. Aoba sister asked if she wants to bring some food, Aoba said guys will finish it before she does. She said how about she give it to Momiji. Aoba said she's going to eat it now!
Aoba arrived and saw Kou practicing his pitching using towel. He's realizing his growth, he pitching good ball without using energy. Aoba left him and greeted Akaishi. She congratulated his homerun, and he asked about Akane. Aoba didn't tell him that she's sick. Nakanishi, who's sitting on the sofa, said oh, that's why he came early? lol @ spiky hair guy. Aoba went to her room...
She told Kou from her room about why Kou's ball became "better". It's about his arm after when releasing the ball.
At the game (wow, sudden change), Kou pitched a foul ball. He already pitched 8 foul balls so far. Everyone's shocked. Azuma brother said the same thing and Aoba said sorry. Azuma brother said control became bad, but speed is almost reaching to whom Aoba adores. Aoba's shocked.
Kou saw the newspaper, which it said 156km(?) Kou asked the manager, who said Aoba is running. Aoba is thinking about what Kou said when Aoba pitched in front of him the first time. She then said "feels good" is her saying and kicked the grasses. She saw and picked clover up.
The principle (?) is in Akaishi's shop for drinking again! He was just picking up something, but when he heard about Akane, he became nervous. They are shocked.
Everyone in the team practicing... There are three of guys (reporters?) who came in and saw Aoba's pitching and they thought it's similar to Kou. Kou is behind and told them she's his coach, without her, he cannot pitch that fast. I wonder what he told them about their relationship. They asked Aoba for a photo, and she refused. Kou knew that she would refuse them. One of them said even if she practiced that hard, she won't be able to pitch at the game, she knows right? Kou is sad for Aoba (change of face), but said politely to them about he's going to practice, too. The manager helped him not let them getting near him again. Aoba said don't say extra things, Kou said sorry, he thought he answered nicely. They don't understand her at all.
Aoba told Kou about Akane not there. Kou said she must have something to do, then he noticed Aoba's pondering. She mentioned about Akane not feeling well after getting off the train. Kou said don't worry bout her too much. She asked Kou if he never worried about her at all. Kou doesn't understand at all. Akaishi heard their conversation.
Ryuoh is caring about Seishu winning.
Back to Seishu and Akaishi is not doing well because he heard about Akane being sick. Aoba went to visit Akane in the hospital. She heard from Aoba about Akaishi. She told her to tell them don't worry about her and concentrate on the game. Akane said something about Akaishi and the image overlapped with Wakaba. The nurse called for Akane, so she's leaving. Aoba asked her if she can visit her again tomorrow. Akaishi, who heard the report, still is worried. lol~, Akaishi knows what Azuma was going to say.
The game against Kichichouji and they are doing well, but the opponent is strong, too. As always, the girls from the opponent team is shocked at Kou's fast pitching. Azuma brother said the control is better and the speed doesn't change. much. In the end, Seishu won.
Akane is in the hospital, smiling and facing toward the window with wind.
Next ep... Akaishi, Kou, and Akane visiting the hospital and Akane announced that there might be an operation. She's worried that the game losing with Akaishi worrying about her. Akaishi asking Kou if he will worry about Aoba, Kou said he still has to win the game.
I ♥Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!!
I have to admit: I'm loosing my interest. We've spent whole episodes on Seishu blowing out their opponents with little tension, it's looking like Aoba is just going to sit on the sidelines, and nothing all that exciting is going to happen. Very anti-climactic, when I feel like things should be coming to a head by now.

I have to agree, there's been very little advancement over the last three episodes. One would think they'd be ratcheting up the tension instead it just feels like coasting.

Exactly. When the episode ended, I was quite disappointed in an "oh, that's it?" sort of way.
Only 5 more episode left. I really wonder how they're going to pull this off.
I agree this episode felt a little rushed and that not much is happening in the ball games...but this is just as much a slice of life anime as a sport genre. I always felt the main strength of this show was the storyline and the depth of the characters so story building episodes like this that don't have much action don't really bother me all that much.
The thing is, that this didn't really do anything to build the story, either. Everyone's in the same position that they've been in pretty much since Ayane got introduced, with relatively little movement. Slice of lifes half this long do more, and even though Touch did stall at the end, there was a tremendous amount of character development. There is none here. Aoba's still, by and large, a bitch who can't see anything remotely interesting about herself aside from her talents as a baseball player. Kou is still the all around good guy who won't totally recognize his feelings for Aoba, while hanging onto the image of Wakaba. Akaichi is still befuddling on the romantic front. Nakanishi is still fat. Et cetera, et cetera. Azuma and Momiji have had the most growth over the course of the show, and that's not saying much after 45 episodes.

I can't see much interesting about me. Am I a bitch? ;_;

The glances and stuff in this episode says the opposite, but maybe that's just me.
I have my own anime blog. It's called Anime Viking. Hope you'll you read it!

Isn't there 6? Its 51 eps according to MAL... .
Siva said: I know the manga has just ended but how far are we now from the manga.
Also for this episode, why so serious rush?
26 chapters to go.
And this episode wasn't rushed at all. It was 3 chapters...
144 chapters covered so far in 45 eps. Of those, the first 10 were summarised to 1 ep, and then, theres the replay of ep 1, and about 5 fillers... Thats on average 3.5 chapters per ep, so this was a slower pace than normal.
I believe it will be the final game that will use up more chapters per ep (as it simply can get through it faster without being rushed), so the rest of the series should be at a fine pace.

I guess they're going to stretch out the Ryuuou game since it's the one that has been built up.

oh you're right, I had forgotten that it's going to be 51 and not 50.

Yeah I don't really feel it's all that rushed....I mean, do we really need to drag out every single game? Anyways I enjoyed the episode. I hope Akane will be alright.
Um. It was a good episode. But the match was just. Bleh. I was disappointed. I hope it's made up for with a really fantastic final match against Ryuou.
After seeing other commenters pointing it out... Yeah. Kou and Aoba's relationship hasn't really developed much - especially not in these past few episodes.
I don't know. I feel like I have no clue what I'm expecting from this series, but I'm expecting something great, and it hasn't lived up to whatever expectation I have - yet. DX
And geez, what floor is Akane's hospital room on? Unless that final shot was filming from an angle looking up from the ground, she shouldn't be able to see only the sky when looking out the window... and I'm pretty sure it was a straight-on shot. So she's on, what, the 40th floor or something? ._.' It's probably just me. That seemed off though.
Something seem to be happening with Akane... She look really weak. Somehow, it remind me of Clannad :P
Already the semi-final? It's going fast. Also, that 156km/h... :D
He's getting closer, real close... I guess he'll top a 159km/h at the Koshien xD
ยซTime is passing so quickly. Right now, I feel like complaining to Einstein. Whether time is slow or fast depends on perception. Relativity theory is so romantic. And so sad.ยป - Kurisu Makise a.k.a. The Zombie
3 games in one, well finally there was some baseball. But yeah I thought some miracle would happen and Aoba would play, guess not. She still doesn't give Kou any credit even with the borderline 160 km pitches...it's always his fault and that's why she's a bitch.
Aoba found a four-leaf clover... that was nice little scene.
Damn they really speedrunning this tournament. The opposing teams aren't interesting so I can't really blame the author.
Ko is casually reaching the 160km/h mark, almost. Hope he breaks it before the last episode! Aoba's reaction gonna be precious.
Akane-chan has been hospitalized. Akaishi is performing worse because of it while Ko is performing even better in the games. They're really different.
