The Kanya Festival and the movie arcs were great because there was a lot of clever build up, but there were too many episodes where the mystery was introduced and solved in just one episode. you r right and add the ova (so we got 23 episodes) And about episodes, this anime ( i dont' remember others like this) the episodes lenght are 25-26 min (OP and ED are sometimes used, the "is sponsored by..." included) so it' a nice thing about Hyouka =) A great Anime that deserves a 10, thanks kyoto animation for bring this with your great Production animation =) |

A place where she hopes that Houtarou may be with her. Yeah, the confession in my mind was way to suave for a guy who wanted nothing to do with Eru from the get-go. The fact that he even thought that was a significant change in his personality and it was all thanks to Eru's constant chipping away at Houtarou's energy conservation position in life. Does it need a S2 or an movie? Hard to say. After thinking about it and the powerful message given in the final episode, I think it can stand on its own without additional story. Surprisingly, this is the first anime I've held this position on with such a non-committal ending. All in all, I loved it. I hope it finally gets released on DVD or Blu-ray here in the US so I can add it to my collection. |
| 5/5 Anime too calm, very pleasant characters both main ones that appeared in both character and as regards the aesthetic one. The scene on the show that I would rather see Chitanda and Irisu without quelll'effetto optical, for the rest it was a nice ending, in line with the ideas conveyed several times while watching the series. I strongly hope there is a second season of 26 episodes! * _ * And I want to see in the field all the characters seen in the first season and even more if there are any! |

| The ending scene with Oreki and Chitanda was really well done. Besides that, this show was on the boring side. Very little character development and things they could have touched more on were not (like Oreki's sister or the relationship between the two "couples". Beautifully animated but not my kind of anime unfortunately. I did have very high expectations going in due to what I was hearing so that might be part of it too. |

| Very well done ending and Anime overall. There were some very pretty scenes throughout the series and the sounds were very pleasing to hear. A second would have been great. I didn't get bored while watching like some I did with some Mystery Anime. |
| I started this anime without much expectations,to my surprise it was awesome.I enjoyed every bit of it,relaxed atmosphere with bit of mystery with bit of slice of life vibe,not to say interesting character design.The ending was fantastic.I will definitely miss this anime. |

| Well that ending was anticlimatic.. not enough romance for my taste.. And that teasing pisses me off. Animation is god tier and the OST was enjoyable, but some parts of the show were pretty boring, especially the first few episodes. Interesting characters but I didn't care much for them in the end. Expected a lot more out of this, 7/10 |

| Wow, that ending.. Was just.. Wow. You know when you have that.. gut feeling after you've watched something? I'm guessing what Mayaka sad during the festival arc may apply for me.. I really do think this comes close to a masterpiece. With the Satoshi and mayaka stuff, i'm guessing that he told her "[most of what he told Oreki] i'll give you an answer till i can answer my own question, can you wait till then?" And Mayaka might've been fine with it, since he's telling her the truth. Anyways, what really had me surprised, is how much Oreki has changed, yet hasn't. He still seems reluctant, observant etc. But his motto seems to have banished (certainly when Chitanda's around). I mean, the whole journey, especially when they went passed the cherry blossoms had me gawking with awe (CHITANDA LOOKED SO CUTE >_<). But the last scene, just... Wow. I mean, it was kinda a troll that Oreki never said the 'indirect confession' to Chitanda, but it wasn't in his character to do so anyways. And its really interesting, that Houtaro always seemed to have wanted a rose-coloured high school life, but this moment may be his highlight of his highschool life. And it was in the setting of cherry-blossomed petals. A lighter version of a rosy-colour :'D This series deserves a 9> for me (I mean, its objective, again, reference back to what that manga senpai said!!). But i'm going to give it a 10/10 for the moment. Will be adding Satoshi to my favourites too, since i can relate to him alot :P GREAT SERIES, LIKE THEY ALWAYS SAY: "Kyoani finds away" XD |

| I really enjoyed this anime, I enjoyed the ending, but I feel that it wasn't enough to satisfy me. To me, it didn't feel like an ending, I kind of wish that part when Oreki said he'll take the business side was real, it would of made Chitanda realize Oreki's feelings, and they could of end it right there. I want more of this show ;_; (Season 2 pls) But I still enjoyed this anime, it was really beautiful- 8/10 |

| Hyouka 22 is one of the most visually impressive episodes I've ever seen... yet story wise it was very underwhelming. Very good series though, 8/10. |

| This episode gets a 6/10, the mystery in this episode was drastically dumbed down in order to fill lots of character development, but there really was none, this episode seemed to just be a glorified representation of each characters traits at the end of episode 21. Although the fake out with Oreki and Chitanda a bit of a shot to the heart, the real reason I scored this low is because I feel it wasn't much of an end at all, it was more of an implication of something. In the end my vote is that Hyouka needs a movie to tie everything together. The End. |

| Oh the feels. Kokoro doki doki. Loved this series. Not really exciting but the immersion is immense. spoiler I wished Oreki would've confessed at the end but atleast he knows now what he wants. He may not say so now but he'll slowly work towards the goal of finding a way to stay with Eru forever. She finally showed him a rose colored life. I also love how she basically told him, this is where I will be for the rest of my life. It's clear she didn't want to trick him and wanted him to know where his life will be if he chose her. It's pretty clear she can tell that he wanted to convey his feelings for her especially by the way she smiles at him in the end. The ending flat out tells you that their love will bloom. Love it. Man I wanna see more. Tears. |

| Eh it was a good ending, but somehow I didn't actually quite feel the ending. The doll festival part was good, and the construction reveal was also good, but just the ending scene I just don't feel it. Well it was a good series, with Oreki's master of his detective skills, and Chitanda's cute expressions throughout the episode , with her "I'm curious" look XD. But I want to see a romance development for Oreki and Chitanda for it, but it was a good series. Oh well 9/10. |
| I personally think that the anime gave us a closure to the series. I'm fine with the ending but I would most definitely love to see a second season. Hell, I'll even watch the second season even if I had dial-up. |
| Le sigh... So close Oreki, so close. This was a very touching anime and if anything it left in a good place. Oreki has changed and he even realizes that he has really strong feelings for Eru. Pretty sure she knew she liked him quite a ways back, but now I oh so want to see them start up their romantic relationship, it's bound to be sooo awkward and über cute!!! |

| Damn you Hyouka autors! You huge fucking teaser! xD Fuuuuuuuu, I was so sure for a moment that it had really happened, but autors be trollin'... I WANT MOAR! Second season plz Houtarou was bluffed by Chitanda dress... And me too :3 I think it's the first time Chitanda have been able to guess the culprit of a mystery! She's getting better :P Poor Mayaka, she can't reach Satoshi heart. Though I understand Satoshi, he's in a hard situation conflicting his own personnality. Well, it was a good serie. I'm thinking about putting Houtarou in my top character, he was really amazing. All the other main cast was also really great. I hope to see a sequel and more good mystery show. |
