It's not only bigger, the only assumption that Eren could have a hardening ability is based on the fact that human-titans share the ability to different degrees. The Armored titan, the FT, Ymir, and the wall-titans, have some connection with the crystallization, but Bert, Eren, and the Beast titan, as well as the ordinary and deviant classes - don't. It's not clear if the wall titans are literally Colossals like Bert, but then again, making a wall (or filling a gap in said wall) of human-titans could require more than the hardening ability.

The way I see it, currently, Eren is as good as commanding the mindless ones to move. This alone could help a squad to reach the basement safely. If the basement contains indeed important secrets or explains how the hardening ability works or how a human-titan could be walled in the gaps, then the recovery of Wall Maria could take place. That is, the basement is the key with what Eren can offer now, unless they experiment and discover something tying their goals together. Moreover, if Eren serves as a brick in the wall only, what happens after that?

if you take a look at annie and her current form undeground you will see that the size and shape of her crystal is way bigger than her own mass, if we apply the same logic but with a titan body eren can actually fill the hole easily.

A-ah, I see. Truth to be told, they will have a lot of problems in Shiganshina, there are two holes, and they will basically need Eren everywhere, in the basement included.

What do you think happened to RBY trio? If they are going southeast, they will pass by Shiganshina, unless they don't climb the Wall Maria in the southwest (that is, before Shiganshina) and continue somewhere in the outside? If they are able to reach Wall Maria, they can climb the Wall, and walk the distance on it relatively safely all the way to the Inner Gate.

By the looks of it, the preview seems to be hinting that Ymir and Reiner, killed whatever titans breached the wall. At the same time, Bert was the one who attacked it?

Or is that the original hole that got destroyed? Yeah ignore this part 2 holes were breached, I think they're at the whole in wall Maria where Erin and gang used to live.

If the shifters really did kill/stop the titans I hope it helps them get everyone's good side.

I can see how the current arc goes after reading this:

The crew successfully blocks the hole in the wall after Eren trains to use his commanding ability properly. We learn of the secrets in the basement, but it is not everything in the picture. Historia will suddenly spots cracks in the wall, left by Ymir's Titan Claws. Everyone will climb up the wall and spot some traces outside the walls, presumably left by Reiner, Bert and Ymir. The Survey Corps send a small battalion of maybe 15-20-ish people, containing Eren, Mikasa and Historia and maybe Levi if he's recovered to trace the Titans back to the "village". The "village" would contain other pieces of the larger picture.
This would be Mikasa's big character development arc, I think/hope.
Armin, Hanji and the rest will battle using wits against the threat inside the walls. I'm hoping that we get introduced to some allies, like a resistance group or something, fighting against the "organization".

OK, why Ymir needed a titan power? Was she sent to steal it from the RB's organization, hoping to nail the coordinator as well? These powers are precious only because they turn a human into a shifter - apparently, the Beast titan can turn humans to titans en masse. For the organization it wouldn't really matter if there's another mindless titan as Ymir was, it would matter if the powers are something like limited flasks, given to selected people, doing something they are ordered to do (like Reiner, Bert, and Annie). But what if the organization didn't know what additional power Ymir stole and sent Reiner and Bert to find her, assuming she would show herself if the Walls got breached and used the coordinator (like Eren eventually did). They were looking for this coordinating ability, but didn't know who has it. Either way, they were searching for a titan like Ymir or the ability to take effect.

Many questions for now, but first I'll try to update the time-line.

I'm down for some secret agent battle of wits in the interior with Hanji and Armin. SnK hasn't done that yet, I want to see if Isayame can pull it off.

Hopefully this will be it for flash backs for now we finally get something interesting to happen.
I completely understand why the past two chapter have been so flashback heavy because it is needed but eh I still feel as it could be better.

Will need to re read this chapter once a better translation is released so I can fully understand what the hell is going on.

Transitional chapter yes but it was still quite a read and the scans I read made the argument between Hanji and MP's difficult to understand. Im starting to wonder if we'll ever see Ymir again or if shes already been killed or punished or whatever.
