If you really want to fit in, just put Legend of the Galactic Heroes in your top 5 and have it be the only 10-rated anime in your list.

They definitely do. In fact my first girlfriend was a bit of a tsundere. We were just preteens actually. At first she was very snobby and kind of mean to me but after about a year of knowing her she admitted that she liked me and from that day on she pretty much had an instant change in behavior haha. It was really cute actually. I was very surprised and learned a lot about chicks from the way that girl acted.

Well holy fuck. My "first" "girlfriend" was tsun as well, and I was 11 at the time.

...Only, I thought of her as a bitch then, and I think of her as a bitch now. I pretty much peg her as the first regret that has started a series of other major regrets throughout my teens and early twenties.

Sometimes I act a lot like a tsundere...I usually do good things for other people and when they find out I lie saying things like:
"I only did it because it benefits me too!"
"I only did it because it was on my way! It doesn't mean anything!"
"It's not a big deal, anyone would have done the same in my position"
"I did it because I have to be around you a lot of time and if you are in a good mood that's good for me too" lol

I don't even know why I act like this...No, that's another lie, I actually know very good why

I think they're much more prevalent in adolescence like some of you have stated about your past girlfriends. I think it passes as much cuter then where even boys do it. You know, the whole pulling the hair thing of a cute girl and whatnot. But while I have never met a real female like that, I'm sure they exist .. I'm just not entirely sure how appealing an 3d adult tsundere would be.

Same, complete bitch - although we spent 2.5 years together - total tsundere though, which is what leads me to conclude that IRL tsunderes are bitches.

I'm a little tsundere.....hehe.... I'm not tsundere around everyone, but just with the person I have a crush on. Even though he is a really good friend of mine I always end up calling him "Idiot" (for no reason) and I often tell him I hate him (To which he often responds with "No you love me~")
It's not like I try to be mean, I actually try to be nice....It's just that I can't stop it >.<

I don't think so. Tsundere is a character archetype, and while there are people who may display similar behaviours, chances are they're more three-dimensional people then a tsundere anime character. Humans are a bundle of complex thoughts and emotions, so at best I think someone may have tsundere aspects to their personality, but there will be more to them for sure. After all, it's impossible to describe complex individuals, how they interact with others, feel about others, and process information and feelings with a single term. :3

Huh, of course they exist, do you truly think Japanese actually INVENTED tsunderes out of nowhere?

There are girls that are abusive, harsh etc but they do it jokingly and actually with affection, of course that doesn't mean they necessarily "love" you. We all have our ways of socializing.

You could say that guys intentionally act this way to make fun of each other, we insult each other, make fun of each other and say shit that we don't mean obviously because we know that we're not being serious about it.

Bro, we do it as a joke between us, so you can't call them tsundere, I hardly see any guys being harsh with women on the level of a tsundere, that's like shooting yourself in the foot.

And where are you living? Girls are doing this a lot more often nowadays.

Oh... I make no difference, that's why I often use both, I hate repeating the same word too many times unless I can't change it in any way.

Still, women do this even at your age o.O. At least from what I've seen.

It's a type of personality after all.

I am cute and loveable and I turn into a horrible monster when I am being teased.

That makes me a Type B, I suppose.

I would also think that real life tsunderes would have to be more subtle than their anime counterparts, since that kind of behaviour would get obnoxious quick.

Define ''the level of a tsundere''. But now we're starting to get into things like negging and the golden ratio (of poon), which isn't exactly the same as ''shooting yourself in the foot''. Is it admirable? Not always, but that's not what we came to discuss.

Well you should.

It is, but that doesn't negate the fact that there are certain tendencies. Would you disagree with me if I said that this sort of behaviour is more common among young boys than girls?

Nah.

Yes, you are ignorant, a tsundere has no personality disorders, as it fits none.

Not only that, a tsundere isn't necessarily extreme in it's actions.

Implying "personality disorders" actually exist, as if they were a physical disease. A 'disorder' is anything which could cause a person trouble throughout their life, so literally everything (or nothing, depending on how you look at it) could be classed as one.

Not that it matters anyway, because things are only classed as a disorder when our culture hates it enough; not when it causes individuals a genuine issue.

And where did I imply that...?

Actually, they have to fit certain characteristics. Otherwise those that are classified with them wouldn't be classified with them in the first place.

Like, maladaptive, atypical, unjustifiable, and dangerous. It must fit all of these to be regarded as a disorder.

Not really, true tsunderes no, no at all --impossible. Maybe, I don't know.
But tiny hints of "tsundere" kinda exists.

Example, in the real world when someone lies to hide their feelings or embarrassment, --can you consider that tsundere?
Or when someone is jealous and gets pissed at someone because they have feelings or it could be just overprotection --can you call that tsundere?

I believe it exists, somewhat.

i dont see them being abusive in real life. idk tsunderes in anime seem to me like small hits in the back, but no serious pain.

they exist probably
