Great news. Incidentally, how is Nise doing, sales-wise? On par with Bake, better, worse? I was a bit disappointed with Shaft's adaptation. I know I can expect Nisio did a better job on the other novels, but I hope Shaft doesn't ruin it personally. Well, it still can't end that bad either way.

Well, that's great considering Shaft is producing decent titles.

Expecting more Senjougahara, neck-breaking head tilts.

It seems that my sarcasm didn't come across well. Which is why I scratched out the "Dropped". Why didn't you see that I rated both Bakemono and Nisemono 10/10

Fail atm? Do you perhaps mean awesome? The Filler-Arc is going to show other shonens what a real filler is!

The original post says that the last six books will be animated in one two-cour anime, right? That seems like it might be a little tight, though the last six books aren't that long (a little over 1800 pages combined, vs. 860 for Bakemonogatari and 672 for Nise).

Wrong studio. White Fox is responsible for the Katanagatari adaptation, not SHAFT. Complain to White Fox about the lack of Maniwagatari.

It's Fantastic news.

After Nisemonogatari ive lost most of my enthusiasm for the Monogatari series. I am hoping the other books are better.
This.

+1

If those upcoming adaptations are to be as pathetically dull and weak as Nisemono, then they'd better not bother producing them at all. Still, I dare to hope that they will prove to be at least on par with Bakemono - which was in fact quite decent.
But... yeah, we all know that milking the franchise will be reduced to creating fan-service-packed replicas without as much as a good story.

People like this make me laugh since Nise is seriously the SAME EXACT SHIT as Bake.

Don't even start.

eh, i really don't think they are as similar as you say. they did have similarities but i think they way bakemonogatari's conversations and characters interaction were different from bakemonogatari. i would definitely not say they are the same.
I dislike liars

Still have to watch Nisemonogatari, I didn't have time last season and don't have for the coming few months either so waiting for the BD's.
I'm glad they decided to adapt the other works too, but I don't even want to know how long it's going to take.

Hopefully most those will be tv series. Not OVAs or movies. OVAs take too damn long to be released and do not always mean more than one episode.Movies are nice but they are short.

Awesome.
I hoped that Shaft would take other title from Nisio like Zaregoto instead of animating the whole -gatari franchise though.
But well, look like the guy will get manmilked for a few years and if it still sell as much as it does now he'll probably get an anime offer for whatever he write.

So this essentially means that SHAFT will be focusing on -monogatari series and not any other new ones seeing that there are about 10 more novels to animate? How long would that take? Won't they be sorta "typecasted"?

Seriously don't mind that SHAFT gets to animate all the -monogatari novels but hopefully they will do some other non-monogatari shows.
