| This is a great start to what appears to be a promising slice of life show. A lot of the scenes in the hotel reminded me a lot of Spirited Away (surprise, surprise...), and I'm guessing it will also develop in a similar manner--that is, a coming of age story. I agree that 26 episodes seems a bit long for a series of this nature, but who knows, the writers could have a lot in store. The artwork in this show is great. I thought he character designs were rather charming and simplistic, and a lot of the backgrounds were reminiscent of 5 cm/s--which in my eyes is the pinnacle of scenery artwork. Definitely liking the soft colours and lighting. Looking forward to being entertained by Ohana some more :D |

| I find it weird, but despite being the series I cared the least about in this season –in fact, as soon as I read the synopsis, I dismissed it as some average slice-of-life in an inn with moe girls all around— and just ultimately decided to watch it on a whim… and it’s the one that I’ve liked the most. I love the serious approach; it’s a nice change for all the light-hearted comedies out there. … What surprised me the most was having a confession on the first episode. Wow. The animation is wonderful, flowing and I absolutely love the character design (Kishida Mel ♥). They’re quite charming as persons, too. The ED and insert themes didn’t strike me too much, but they’ll surely grow on me with the time. And one can’t forget: Grandma can go die at any time. Such a despicable person. I’ll eagerly watch the rest if it keeps this way. I’m hooked. |

| This show was way different than I was expecting it to be.... That was very depressing episode. The girl lives a very tough life, I feel really bad for her. After what she's been going with her mom and home her grandma should atleast have some sympathy for her. Good episode and i'm looking for more! |
| Somewhat interesting, the grandma ticked me off--she's just way too old fashioned for my liking, though her hatred could be understandable depending on the mother and her's fallout. Though, I'm going to assume Ohana's mother left partially because of the grandma's attitude. If they go about smoothing their relationship, I really hope it isn't abrupt and corny, though I'm thinking a grandma like this is going to be consistent through the series. I'm going to hold off on my opinion of Minko until we find out a little more about her, as in why she's so stubborn and angry. |

| First of all, Nice art and animation. I love how they start things off with great pacing. the characters aren't so bad either and the protagonist is a very interesting character. Yet another high quality show for this season 5/5 |

| There's only one thing I like better than watching an anime I actually ''plan'' to watch. That one thing is watching something I wouldn't even consider based on a first look, giving it a shot, and then absolutely love it! In this case, this anime is that specific event! Great introduction, very bold right off the start, great visuals. Everything i'd expect to see in a good anime, along with some great first comments to back it all up. I have high hopes for this series! Looking forward to the next! |
| As someone who's currently working in a hotel.. Ah.. I could easily relate to this. Especially when it comes to staff meal. I wish we had someone like Ohana to cook delicious dishes everyday. This is basically the one thing I need to watch right now. Tee hee. And I really like Ohana's attitude. I could really learn a lot from her. Truly a promising show. I'm glad it'll have 26 episodes. ^___^ And I oh'ed at Mamiko-san's energetic voice. :O Not really digging Minchi's voice though but I guess its ok. |

| Just watched the first episode, which completely caught me off guard. I had been cautioned to brace for depressing, and I prepared for a repeat of Michiko to Hatchin's first episode. What I did not expect was a complete emotional roller coaster. I'm especially surprised by the show's pace so far, considering that it's allegedly going to be 26 episodes in length; I feel like by the time I hit the eyecatch the show had covered enough ground to make an entire episode. I think for something like this the protagonist is what will really make or break the show, and so far Ohana seems like a really strong character. It might not be much to go on, but after watching the ED, I think I'm going to like this. |

Despite the fact that I was watching this girl get crapped on for most of the episode, I still somehow found this enjoyable. Characters early in a series usually come off as unreasonable, this is usually the case because of writing forcing misunderstandings and poor communication. And this is no exception, but this seems especially harsh considering it involves family and being somewhat abandoned. |

| wow, that was just amazing. i honestly didn't know what to expect and had a feeling that it might be a bit dull, but hanasaku iroha really surprised me. this is certainly one of my favorites so far in the spring line-up. |

| I don't like the story at all. The characters are really irritating, a girl who tells everybody to die, a guy who can only scold others, a grandmother who seems to have no feelings except for her visitors and a girl who barely talks... I feel so sorry for her. Oh and she has a crazy person as her.. well.. "mother". I do hope that the people around her are going to change really soon, otherwise this'll be a really depressing anime and that would be a waste :( |

| I thought it was really cute :D That guy is SO nice.. Like the feel of this anime; I haven't been watching shoujos in a long time so this'll be a nice change :) I'm not expecting Clannad-levels of awesomeness (lol) but I at least hope it'll make me feel warm and fuzzy inside xD. Like all shoujos [usually] do. Music = I love it. Animation = AMAZING! Especially the backgrounds, and the people are very detailed too, it reminds me of the first season of Natsume Yuujinchou (Animation went downhill after the first season :( |

| A slice of life anime isn't bad once in a while. This was a sweet episode, but also at the same time sad. Ohana is already lovable since episode 1, I wonder how much she grows in term of personality and many other things throughout the series. That grandma just give her bitch slap in the face. Twice. Ouch. |

| Quite good for the first episode. Interesting concept which reminds me a bit of Spirited Away, you probably know what I mean. Though the outcome is already predictable :) I started watching this show because of one reason, Ohana. About two weeks ago I saw her as a profile pic in a club and there was something about her that made me wanna watch the show she was in, whatever the story was. I still can't explain what is that about her that I seem to like so much. She is cute, beautiful, kind-hearted, independent, adorable etc... She is just extremely appealing to me. And I think I'm really gonna enjoy this show :) |

| What a bunch of people with complex! It hurts so bad watching this first episode.. that grandma sure is crazy, isn't she? Why so hard? Slapping at the first episode, to girl too, THREE times for Ohana too! Not sure if going to continue to watch, but for Ohana who was already tried that hard maybe I should look 4 more episodes before really decided to drop it or not. Watching a show which gives me bad mood more than warm feelings is not a good way to entertaining myself. |
