| I find the doctor, Toshio Ozaki, with his penchant for stating crucial, need-to-know information via inner monologue simply infuriating! Dozens of lives could have been saved if he had opened his pie hole when he first suspected what was going down. That, & the fact that he didn't do more to prevent that one hypnotized man's death...I mean, would repeating himself once or twice in order to save a life or twenty cause him untold suffering or something? Other than that, I'm truly enjoying these later episodes; not that I had any problem with the earlier ones. This anime had me from my first click of the Play button. |

| No Kaori in this episode and they were being very stingy with Natsuno in this episoe. Ok I liked Tohru in the beginning but now he's just acting like a dick no matter what anyone says. And personally I don't care for Sunako, so all that ish she was saying at the end, asking that Idiot monk, whether she's a bad person for wanting to stay alive was total BS. She can kill others but she doesn't want to be killed? Life's not that sweet hun... |

It's called eating, every animal, including me and you, and a handful plants need to kill to survive. The problem with people here is that we don't sypmathise with pigs, cows, fish and carrots and take this kind of taking lifes for granted, but if something eats a human being for the same reasons it's a bad thing. In this anime it's extreme, because shiki are almost human, so their (only) way of survival is branded as murder. Sunakos thought process is the most natural and basic in existence - ne need to survive. |

In the end, will either side truly win? This is a lose-lose situation. The humans are exactly the same as the Shiki. They killed on massive scales. Why? Because they wanted to survive. The Shiki didn't just want to survive though, they wanted to make more of their kind and take a place to live for themselves. That isn't merely feeding themselves to stave off starvation but is rather more nefarious. I can sympathize with Sunako and her plight, it isn't an easy situation to deal with to put it in a massive understatement. But she is hardly as innocent or at least partially lacking in guilt as her tears would suggest you know. |

| Villagers starting to go completely crazy killing even human now. Well in crisis situations and war people that have strong darkness incite start to fail at suppressing it. Sunako has some really nice strong excuses there but the truth is that is all talk because she doesn't want to die. Of course you are bad. At least accept responsibility of your actions and don't say it wasn't your fault. The people you killed felt exactly the same desperation you feel now but you didn't think of them much. And anyway you could drink blood with out killing. Ritsuko's existence proves that you ain't as innocent as you make yourself be. The only thing that excuses Sunako more is the fact that is a child and a child finding itself in such conditions would probably not be able to resist. In the end Sunako drinking blood isn't her biggest crime, but what she created(it wasn't enough for her to just drink to live, she even created others and spread her death) and the fact that she doesn't at least admit that she is a criminal. Ritsuko and Toshio died there huh? Or am i wrong? Ritsuko is a saint btw, really feel sorry for her and i still blame the doctor for not doing anything to save her. |

They are my favourite Shiki as well as couple. RIP, both of you. <3 Why am I deprived of Natsuno!? I need to see him drive a stake through Megumi. Muroi needs to die. Pathetic useless monk as he is. |

| Only good thing about this show is the way they demonstrate the devolution of the humans. That the humans are so paranoid/full of terror and revenge that they would kill other humans that were only hypnotised...? That's refreshing. What isn't refreshing is how slow this all is. And how the vampires are scared and not really fighting back (other than the hypnotising). Come on, what about midnight raids? Let's make this battle something entertaining, ffs. |
| Holy shit, this is great. I love the way it shows both sides of the story, because honestly, had the shiki been named the protagonists, wouldn't we be cheering for them to win? On one hand we have them, who are, as Sunako said, just trying to live and eat (which is not very different from us feeding on cows and chickens, to be honest), and on the other we have humans who also want to live...but who are now, ironically, and forgive me the pun, hungry for blood in a way that scares even Toshio. Who experimented on his wife, I'd like to remind. Ookawa terrifies me. Toshio said that if treated, those who were bit regain consciousness, but even then he preferred to settle it with a big-ass hammer. That's not really ok. Actually, none of this is ok, but it's kill or be killed, so...let's see what happens next. |

| Holy crap! This anime is freaking awesome. So the humans are becoming bloodthirsty like the Shikis for revenge ... dun dun dun! I liked how the old guy said he had to kill his son because it's his duty as a parent ... except then he killed that guy at the end >_< Anyways, I feel bad for Sunako though. It's like she said, she's just trying to stay alive ... Both sides of the story are awesome. How will this all end? Like to know what Muroi thinks he's up to ... :P |

| It's getting harder to root for the human side now. Not all of the shiki are completely evil... but I guess it's necessary to get rid of all them. If they don't then the same shit will just happen to other places. |

| The humans have learned well how to kill shiki with stakes and hammers. And the shiki have learned well that the best way to kill humans is with guns ...and humans. Ookawa is a beast, but he may have gone over the edge. I can't blame him though. The guy, whether being controlled or not shot someone dead. This just keeps getting more and more intense. Two episodes left now.  |

| I really admire Ritsuko for deciding not to kill anyone. The other shiki kept saying they had no choice but to kill, but actually, upon seeing her example, it's clear they weren't bound to one fate. But the great part about this show is that it also deals with Sunako's beliefs. Is it wrong for them to still want to live? This show is one of the few stories I've seen that deals with deeper issues concerning vampires and other things such as that. |

That doesn't mean she even needs to kill in order to do it, though. Big distinction there. There is a big difference in how a humans and Shiki eat. We kill animals because we can't eat part of an animal. Well we can but it would be cruel. Shiki on the other hand only kill a human after feeding on them 3-4 times. Solution? Don't feed on any human more then once, problem solved. Shiki might be justified in eating in order to survive. What they aren't justified in doing is killing people in the process and increasing their numbers. Just makes things worse. |
