| Interested to see how things will pan out. I don't even know what that baby/demon fetus was suppose to be, Kite scared the shit out of me, and next episode seems to focus on Palm "quivers in fear". Overall it was a good episode as usual, but is anyone else finding it hard to feel bad for the Chimera Ants after all the bad we have seen them doing? This episode just didn't really hit me emotionally like it seemed it should have, I know they aren't all bad but it seems like the way they have been represented (or at least how I have perceived them to be) is vicious and ruthless. |

| Um, R.I.P the Ant Queen, although I didn't really care about her. It's nice to see a few ants that aren't completely bad. Oh SHIT. Next episode, Palm's date and hopefully the episode after that we will see Easily one of my favorite moments of the arc, so hyped. |

| Can't say I felt for the queen, glad she's dead. The aftermath of her death has resulted in anarchy though, I really hope those ant generals get wiped out before they can reproduce. Colt is probably the only ant I can empathize with and the fetus was very unexpected. I wonder if there's a deeper meaning to it and I hope he can protect it. It's fairly depressing how optimistic everyone is about saving Kite, I wonder when they'll learn the truth. |

| Meruem... has a nice ring to it. Good episode, the way they handled the scene between Colt and the Queen was interesting. I felt it was very well done, very emotional. This episode only covered 1 chapter and 10 pages though... which is kinda disheartening but the pacing worked kinda to create a touching scene for the Queen's farewell. |
| That baby was a huge wtf moment for me. I mean... how tiny is it? Meanwhile, I wonder how fast the King is going to kill every single person in the Republic of East Gorteau? It'll probably take him like 5 minutes lol. Netero vs. the King will be friggin' awesome! I can't wait to see both of them at their full power! ^//^ |

They are just a new species superior to humans, which is why they hunt humans and eat them. And the humans in hxh realised that and try to kill all the chimera ants to save themselves. Both sides just try to survive |

And watching them eat humans may seem somewhat gruesome to some, but when you look at the situation from another perspective.. even as humans in real life, do we not belittle other species by killing and eating them as well? We can survive as a species without meat. But I digress. |

| kind of a pointless episode in my opinion.I guess it gave clot some character development, but 15 mins of just the queen dying? come on who cares about the ant queen? there were some interesting parts but overall a meh episode 2/5 imo. |

| Even though I didn't pay much attention to Netero before, he was pretty cool. I liked him with longer hair more though. Also, he has a lucky shirt! WTF! What if it gets ripped during battle. The Queens death was sort of sad, but I couldn't get into it with them being insects plus the fact that none of the characters were to my tastes. I wonder how Killua and Gon will fare from here. |
| Even though most people didn't care about the Queen dying, I can't help but feel touched during that death scene. Although she was dying, all she cared about was Meruem. She wondered if he had a defection and hoped that he was alright. I felt like that was the love only a mother or possibly even a father would know - even if your children turn out to be evil and horrendous, that does not stop a mother or father from loving them from the bottom of their hearts. The Ant Queen is very human and that scene has shown that all these Chimera Ants are extremely reflective of humans, if not exactly the same. And it begs the question that what you hate about the Chimera Ants... shouldn't that also be what you hate in humans? Yet, many of us despise the Chimera Ants for killing and eating people; but we kill and eat animals all the time. It's very ironic and philosophical. |
| One of the slowest episodes of the series, the queen dying took too long imo. If the next episode manages to cover more than 2 chapters though, the pace will pick up a lot. From the spoilers, I feel they might reshuffle the events a bit. |

| I think they prolonged the queen scene because of Colt, he is probably gonna be important later on the story. To be honest, I'm not really liking this arc so far, I hope it's just setting up for great things to come because so far it's disappointing. A lot of annoying and repetitive episodes. 3/5 for this episode. |

The big difference here, though, is that humans are sentient, and animals are not. You're correct, however, in that it's in their nature to vie for the top of the food chain, and assimilate as needed; the ants have only been around for 2-3 months, I believe, so many of them haven't had time to process all the philosophical and moral implications of what they're actually doing - they're torn between their hive mentality and individuality, brought on by their human heritage. With the death of the Queen, I think its fair game that most ants get a second chance at life, as while they've committed many atrocities, it's only in their newborn nature to do so. It also must be considered that the very crimes they were committing to feed the queen, perhaps not even weeks before, they were the humans themselves being hunted down by other chimera ants. There's many unique factors here that give the ants some moral and ethical considerations and exceptions that you will not often find in scenarios like this. |
