I feel sorry for Usopp but its his own fault for telling lies. I feel bad for him though cuz he just wants to protect Kaya.

Yeah i know what you mean it was his own fault for lying but he'll probably end up fighting them, joining Luffy, and the village will probably always think he's a liar or at least that's what i think is gonna happen.

Maybe I'm sick or crazy, but I like Usopp very much. He is so natural, without gomu gomu power or 3 swords..just a tearaway guy with this lying-problem. He is so kind..
Aww, I love Usopp ^_^ and his appearance doesn't matter ;)

Waw, Pretty Admirable. Well Said!

I think they're all fit pretty well.

You're right. But there's no way I could picture Usopp beginning to take the pirates on on his own.

The classic boy who cried wolf story. I take it his name is a play on the name of the Greek storyteller Aesop.

Wow I never knew, that the origin from that story was from Greece, you learn something new everyday :3

The Usopp part in the saga is surprisingly good, I wonder why I remembered so differently about it.

Some people say the anime starts to shine later, but it's really good from the very beginning, lol.

Usopp did a lot of good this episode, and has shown on multiple occasions that when he's standing up for what he believes in he won't back down, even if he is scared(seen again in this episode with him carrying Kaya out of the mansion and taking out the armed men with his slingshot). But the part that really sold me, and actually got me to tear up, was when Usopp ran into his crew after being chased off by the civilians. He saw them, and he wiped up his tears, pulled his arm band over his wound and hid his arm behind his back, and changed his frown into a smile to shout optimistically at them. I'm sure you could've read between the lines and already understood Usopp, but this scene is what did it for me. He's the kind of person to shoulder their own sorrows for the sake of others, their reputation, their well being, their everything to make those around them happy. And now Usopp makes total sense. He sent off his henchmen so they wouldn't be in danger, even if it meant losing their respect, to go out and challenge a whole pirate ship by himself. What an honorably, if not idealistic man.

I also want to point out all of the main casts reasons for helping Usopp. They're all doing it for their own reasons. Luffy's to beat bad guys because they're bad, which I assume falls straight into his reasoning on hating people who don't play fair etc. Zoro, alike when he ate the girls dirty rice ball, is doing it for Usopp's sake. He respects him, like he respects Luffy, as someone who is honorable and will stand up for their beliefs no matter what. And Nami, again like she's always done, to get money for her own personal goal, which may very well be something admirable, we just don't know.

One Piece continues to be amazing, and at the same time one of the saddest anime I've watched. It's so real all the time, most of the cast is so sympathetic.

They should let the village burn along with their dumb ojousama. But then again if they can defeat the pirates, maybe they can have their ship??

He tried telling the truth but everyone was so sick of his lies that no one believed him in the end, going as far to chase him out of the village and shoot him in the arm. If I was approached by an infamous liar telling me about how evil the guy who took care of me for 3 years actually was, I'd unfortunately doubt him too.

With the Straw Hat Pirates' help, Usopp will finally be able to save Kaya and the village and will no longer be the hermit crab that tried but never succeeded in its efforts.

very predictable how the villagers reacted to usopp
was not expecting a dramatic ass slap to the face from kaya tho lmao i dont blame her tho v,,,v usopp's reputation and extreme actions warranted a slap tbh
but i can't help but feel bad for him
hopefully he learns his lesson from this

lol luffy just taking a good ole nap face down on a rocky beach

luffy and his crew's last lines were the best part of the episode imo
'we're not risking our lives out of sympathy. we think you're honorable.' wow amazing
can't wait for luffy and crew to kick some pirate butt

Welp since he's lied all this time, now nobody's believing him.

His desperation is valid.

I kinda feel bad for him even though it's his fault that nobody believes him.
