| First race of the series! Oguri just signing up to Kitahara's team, no questions asked with Belno joining right after. The poor cook in this episode, terrorized by Oguri once again. I wonder if she forced them to open up early, since Belno was surprised they were open. Cute that Oguri adores her mother so much, then getting super embarrassed when caught by Belno. At least we see where she gets her iconic headpiece from. Fujimasa March making Oguri her number one enemy but Oguri is just completely clueless. | Oguri's face was so cute, and she's an absolute beast on the racecourse. She did start late, but the way she pushed ahead of everyone just shows that she’s far superior compared to the others. But sadly, I doubt Oguri will get that 1st place. It's highly likely that, due to the strain on her ankles, she’ll lose her first place by a hair to Fujimasa. |

| Kitahara (Jones) Jou lucked out, he got a two in one deal on horse girls joining his team lol, Belno Light may not be on the level of Oguri Cap at the moment but I’m glad they were able to be on the same team together. And it looks like Shibasaki ended up bagging Fujimasa March, while Kawamura snagged the three delinquent girls, gotta feel bad for her but at least they’re funny horse girls lol, and based on the race it’s looking like they’re gonna be one of the sources of reactions in the stands, they can make some good expressions so I’m happy with that. And this episode had Oguri Cap moments aplenty, I really love that they kept her silly demeanor despite this being her own epic story, once a meme horse, always a meme horse lol. It was especially sweet seeing her reaction to her mom’s letter, super wholesome, tho she wasn’t a fan of being seen loving her mom lol, it’s nothing to be embarrassed about but it was a funny moment. And I wasn’t sure if we were getting it yet, but it’s already time for the first race, and man how I’ve missed the intensity of Uma Musume races, they really know how to make the viewer feel the energy and power of these horse girls as they put their all into winning, this season is no exception to this, this is just the first race and I’m already on the edge of my seat lol. And wow they really ended it on a cliffhanger, really I could see either Fujimasa March or Oguri Cap winning this one, but I think from a story standpoint it would make sense for Oguri Cap to get 2nd place here. However, if this is based on real life, then Oguri Cap may still win, real life doesn’t bend to how a story seems like it’ll play out after all, it’s one of the reasons I love Uma Musume, so I’m very excited to see who the winners ends up being next week! |
| I guess some emotional episode could happen with how Belno Light was scouted. Seeing how Oguri Cap is, I'm not sure if the moment of placing the accessory was calculated to be said on the radio, or was a 'Oh yeah' moment. I hope next episode will have a concert, it wont, but one can always hope. |

| I LOVEEEE HOW OGURI CAP IS LOVES HER MOM, ITS SOOO CUTE, def my top 3 char ots. god damn man, when Belno asking Cap why is she running really hard, and Cap said "i run because i can" really hits me hard. i Love Cap's energy when she wearing her mom's accessories. March's aura is menacing, really gives me vibe of antagonist 90/00s era. Cap believes what Jo teaches and that really makes me happy. i was soooo locked in to the OSTs but then CLIFFHANGER OMFG, its sooo cruel. Tomoyo Takayanagi's ED IS SO DAMN GOOD, one of my favs ed for sure.  |

| Oguri first match against March is so intense (why did they have to end it with cliffhanger though..). And it does feel kinda refreshing to see a race that's not that crowdy/lively in Uma musume.. Berno seem to notice that Oguri's been acting weird especially to her feet, I hope it doesn't affect the outcome of the race... |

| This might become my favorite Uma Musume content, really struggling to resist reading the manga. I do feel the pace has been compromised in order to end in that cliffhanger. Music is epic, though I wonder whether they'll go ham later like the movie. Cygames should also put Hajime no Ippo S4 in their projects XD. |

There was a little wobble or something from Oguri during this final stretch that Berno noticed and seemed concerned with. I don't know if it was an injury or some other issue, but I'm guessing whatever it was will be tied into her evaluation after losing. Would be nice if she won in spite of that, but I guess we shall see. Really enjoyed the episode. So glad I decided to check out this spin-off. I guess after this season ends, I will have to go back and start the mainline series. If it is anything like this, I'm going to really enjoy it. |

Really enjoyed the episode. So glad I decided to check out this spin-off. I guess after this season ends, I will have to go back and start the mainline series. If it is anything like this, I'm going to really enjoy it.

| @YuukiTheFlash Yeah, she has had a poor start every race we have saw so far. They mentioned she was looking down at her feet at the start. I laughed at first. I thought she was looking down as she ran to make sure her shoe laces didn't come untied. However, it probably had to do with whatever was bothering her down that home stretch. Since she winced and wobbled right after the camera focused in on her step/foot. |

| Reminds me a lot of the 1st season with Special Week, the trainer is a poor hardworking person who can see talent, didn't take much for Oguri Cap & Belno to join. A real cliffhanger ending. I already knew how much Oguri ate from the previous seasons. |

| Damn it, Oguri Cap, why do you have so many adorable facial expressions? Her smile upon reading the letter from her mother was so wholesome, it could be considered lethal! XD This episode was very good. Jones hit the jackpot as he was successful in recruiting Oguri Cap to his team, but I'm glad that Belno also joined as well. She looked a bit reluctant at first, but upon seeing how Jones and Oguri wanted her in this team, I'm glad that she accepted as well. The race itself, while a much shorter one compared to the big SP1 races, still retained its intensity. Oguri Cap's late charge down the straight to catch up to Fujimasa March was very exciting to see. The cliffhanger ending was a bit brutal, but it does hype me up to see who will win this race between March and Cap in the next episode. It should be another great one! |

As a newb to this franchise this show is in my pretty damn good list. Also as a newb; I wonder if they are adapting key parts of the real Oguri Cap's life. If so I don't recommend looking him up cause you might get some future major plot points spoiled.

| Kitahara Jones giving Oguri Cap the chance she wants to race, if it's a race she wants, the opportunity will be given to her. With Belno Light accompanying Oguri Cap to be the very first members of Team Kitahara, while the trio of jokers basically were leftover scraps after Fujimasa March was scouted by Shibasaki. With the goal set for the debut race for the Tokai Derby on May 19th, Oguri Cap trains hard just because she can. But when the race lineup is presented, it's clear that Fujimasa March is favoured a lot on the outside, with Oguri Cap being placed in the middle of the field. The Junior Debut Race with Oguri Cap donning her mother's race accessory, and despite March throwing hands at Oguri with her being none the wiser, the race is on. And despite a rather late start, Oguri affixes her attention to find an opening to reach March, given the training that Jones has to train her lower feet for a better grip, making the race between the two very competitive towards the finish line. It's only the debut race, but this is already exhilarating enough. |

| Oguri Cap's so adorable. The hairband equip was so adorable. She's doing great in her first race but thanks to that piece of shit from before, looks like she tightened her shoelace too much and thats the issue here. Shes likely gonna lose thanks to that. |

| There ya go Cap, make everyone proud ๐ racing momentarily Do have to admit, I'm not the hugest fan of the OP/ED this season. Not that they're bad, but the Uma Season 2 OP was infinitely better/more fitting. Maybe in another season they'll recreate that spark. But for now, she still has to get settled in. She's always covered in dirt XD her staple. Belno gotta keep up with the Cap ๐ who runs for the sake of running. Respect. Still wiping out the kitchen at all hours XD typical Cap. She sets the standards. Even announcers have to roll with her. When you tie your shoelaces so hard that you nerf yourself ๐ Let's ๐ go ๐ Cap. Make mom proud |
