| Other than one of the epsiodes, this one had the most fan service with the bath service. It's done as part of the plot and as a service. I am glad they're having fun in some ways, even Mamao. Mamao handled this episode as I had expected she would. Just another normal day again with her friends and adults. |

| Man, I love Shisui so much lol. Something about a character that just be roaming around the palace and whenever spotting Maomao drags her to whatever wacky antics she was up with her lmao. This time ofc being to the bathhouse, where hey, if you thought you the peak of the fanservice would be last arc, then you'd be wrong because in just one episode, they managed to outdo that little fanservice but tenfold lol. Though, from what I've read of the manga recently, yeah, this was toned down heavily lol. I mean, in the manga there was straight up cheeks left and right lmao. But whatever lol, still got to see Shisui in all her glory though, if you catch my drift. Overall, I mean Shisui just brings the mood up no matter how down it was lol. Part of her charm. Meanwhile we got Maomao over here still get horrific battle flashbacks from the "frog" xD But yeah, apparently one round of fanservice wasn't enough, so you know we had to double it up and go in for round two... this time with Seiku lol. Was a nice change of pace compared to the action packed arc we just had, so yeah. Nice new OP and ED btw, as per usual. Though, OP is proabbly the worst one so far imo. That ED SONG though... my fuck. |

| At this point, being really honest, Maomao shouldn't worry about what she’ll have to do if her term ends or something. I mean she has helped or more like made enough connections in the palace, that someone will come and hire her upfront. Not to forget, Jinshi is still around so yeah, and now that she knows about his “frog”, he’ll never let her go;) Though I always like when Maomao has some girl time with Xiaolan. Shi Sui joining the both every once in a while makes it even more eventful, as you see the bathhouse was her idea lol. Call it the fanservice if you want to, but yeah, the girls were just there to broaden their resume lol. That goes for one of those triplets too. Still things can never remain easygoing in this series, can they? Moreover, when someone like Lishu comes around, they just CAN NOT. Another ghost story, and yeah, just another chance for Maomao to prove there isn’t any to begin with lol. Fine start to the second cour, and yeah the OP’s fine, but the first one slapped much harder. |

| Yay! Canon fanservice episode. Honestly I dont like the OP song. But the visual are great, especially the fox mask on Maomao(cat), that is a like those times when the video try to keep the interviewed anonymity but fails. Gyokuyou's country may be framed as a not very fertile place, but looks like there's lots of nutrients, looking at Sekiuu. |

| Onto the 2nd Cour, Mrs. GREEN APPLE's OP ain't bad, but in terms of the OPs we've given thus far, musically this is the worst, though the visuals still are just as good. Xiaolan looking for more work once her term in the rear palace is over, it wouldn't be right to have Maomao introduce her to the courtesan job, much less refer her straight to Jinshi. That being said, the baths are the only time that the series has its fanservice, with Shisui having much better connections towards the concubines also taking a bath. Of course, Maomao has her own contraptions, like the dull string razor to cut hair from skin. Hongniang would not be happy about this, but Gyokuyou sure does since rumors about her are swirling around the rear palace. The rumours, not limited to Gyokuyou alone, are stories from the arrival of new eunuchs to Maomao's own detriment still thinking of Jinshi's "frog" lols. The trio of sisters still being under tutelage, and are cautious about Maomao's role as a mere taster for Gyokuyou, their caution, as well as relief to use the baths alongside both Xiaolan and Shisui (at least for Seki-u), all is good and all. But as to why Lishu and her attendant is also in the baths, Maomao has finally a chance to use her contraption to help relieve the young concubine. What's exactly at the Diamond Pavilion, which Lishu is frightened about? It can't be a ghost, can it? Omoinotake's ED feels different, though it's also in the reign of good. It's a mostly filler episode, though still interesting at the very least. |

| I do like the new OP and ED, lots of future plot points intertwined in it and Fox masks.... looks like this season will just overtake the manga, so that will be interesting to see what comes next as i have not read the LN. Not long left until out favourite lil foodie, Xiaolan leaves - i do know her eventual fate - , she will leave a big hole in the cast, the adorable lil daughter type that she is. But where will Maomao find another information broker from? Spooky goings on in the next episode. |
| A much calmer episode in terms of pacing, but full of hidden information between the lines. The public bath scene was great to show how even the “relaxing” moments inside the palace are still loaded with politics, gossip, and disguised tension. I liked the interaction between Maomao, Xiaolan, and Shisui — it felt light, but had a bit of a “end-of-an-arc” vibe, you know? And that comment about the new eunuch and the pregnancies… it’s obvious something big is coming. This anime really knows how to plant seeds like few others. What bothered me a little was how the direction softened the episode’s visual tone. Compared to previous ones, it had less aesthetic impact — maybe because it’s more of a “transition” episode. Anyway, a subtle episode, but full of clues. For those paying attention, it was rich with detail ๐ |
| Nice chill episode compared to the tense assassination and Jinmao sexual tension episodes we just had lol. We love a sweet friendship developing episode. Maomao and the girls were so fun to watch today. Shisui and Xiaolan are bundles of joy and really complement Maomao’s more understated personality! It’s so funny on the day that Fire Force comes back we get a new Ms. Green Apple anime OP, this time for apothecary diaries lol. Visuals are really good, song not quite as good as Lilas Ikuta’s but still very solid and playlist worthy! Xiaolan trying to find a new job since her contract is ending is so real. Shisui putting she and Maomao onto the massage therapist job ended up being a two birds with one stone situation because we got all the juicy rumors about what’s going on in the rear palace as well as gaining favor with some mid level concubines! Much better than working in the brothel. You need all the allies you can get in that palace. Definitely leaned into the fan-service today, which Kusuriya is no stranger to, as usual Maomao perving out over Shisui being shockingly busty had me dying. She’s so bi coded lmao. Love how flustered she got when Shisui said the new eunuch couldn’t be as cute as Jinshi. Maomao still thinking of grabbing his “frog”, girl you ain’t fooling no one we know you falling in love ๐ Seki-u and her sisters have some strong ass genes goddamn, I thought they were triplets! Always good to see Maomao make a new friend. That ending tho! Lishu is adorable as always and needs headpats! But no way there’s an actual ghost in her bath, right? I wonder what the explanation will be ๐ค nice set up episode for our next case! I’m having Jinmao withdrawals admittedly |

| Maybe I missed something, but I think this is the least quality episode I have seen of this wonderful show, Almost a filler episode. twenty something minutes of bathhouse, with minimal fan service, just to get a few tidbits of rumors and exposition, and a ghost at the very end. Well, I do like spas anyway, so okay, inspire me to take another spa day. |

| Shisiu introducing the girl to something new in the hope to help one find a job. The seemed to be working hard to one things stood out to me when Lishu appeared, it looked like Shisiu was avoiding her. Shisui wasn't at the end where they recieved a drink and she also walked away when Lishu appeared in the first place she was still treating someone but she wasn't near Lishu. |

| New op made me realise we are already half past the season, time sure flies. The OP was decent, good visuals again. Lots of bathing scenes this episode, pretty much the entire episode. Shishui's a been a fun goofball to watch but she's also really smart and perceptive. It's nice to see more of the three sisters. Sekiu's the cute, adorable type, given how expresionless they are usually, kind of unexpected. Also good to see Lishu again and it's another ghost case it seems. |

| Days at the bathhouse, for the plot! Shisui is really growing on me as a character, but having Maomao as her friend will always lead to her doing some wacky jobs, for example, being a massage therapist to the concubines at the bathhouse. If the fanservice with Maomao and Jinshi in the last couple episodes wasn't enough for you, then this episode turned it up a bit more. It was a nice experience for everyone evolved to get connected with some of the concubines that they haven't interacted with, and for Shisui, that will be important for her future. That last part of the episode with Lishu and the ghost that she supposedly saw was interesting as well, and I guess we'll be tackling that mystery next week. New OP and ED were cool. The OP was good probably not my favourite but still solid. The ED was probably one of the best, might be my favourite. |
| I just wanna say I love Shisui The Hunt just concluded and this episode slowed down to build up some stuffs, with the introduction of the new eunuchs and of course to give some time to Maomao's friends, Xiaolan and Shisui.. and now Seki-u too. The new OP and EDs are good, love how they did Maomao from Xiaolan, Shisui and Jinshi's POVs, and the masks are just cool to see in there. |
Nice scenery this time When character designs are as great even lite fanservice feels very nice. Xiolan hair down specially looks even more cute. Don't mind Seiku flat is justice๐ Hopefully she can rope in a job from these oiling sessions. Lishu is back after long time. Her situation is very awkward. Emperor doesn't "visit" him which maybe a good thing but on the other hand now the only high rank concubine not to be pregnant must not feel best. Although I doubt Loulan's authenticity. Ah another "ghost" for Maomao to solve. New OP is a big big downgrade, idk what these fox masks mean. But looks like Lakan will return soon. ED isn't that bad. The heavy focus on Shisui and Xiolan may mean more screentime for them. |

| Despite the potential for SO much fanservice, there wasn't as much as I expected. Sure, you're guaranteed some, but I'm glad that Apothecary did it for like a few seconds then went back to normal. Maomao got a job, scares a little sister, and makes a high-ranking concubine nervous about the string contraption she will use on her (I still love Maomao). The sound effects for the oil made me feel uncomfortable. |

| I love the trio of Maomao, Xiaolan and Shisui. It's very entertaining and fun to watch them together. I'm glad Maomao didn't recommend Xiaolan for the courtesan job: she's too sweet for something like that. Shisui, on the other hand, is very good at gathering information. This episode had some fanservice: Shisui had them well hidden ๐, and even Sekiu contributed a bit. Sekiu might fit in with the group, although it will cost her a bit because Xiaolan and Shisui are very outgoing. As for the supposed ghost, I think it's more likely that those harpy ladies-in-waiting are bothering Lishu. She or her taster should fire them all: it's time for Lishu to find female friends. I was surprised to learn that Lishu is already 15 years old. Sometimes I forget that it's been a few years in the anime timeline. If that's the case, maybe Lishu could join Maomao's group. The OP and ED are not as good as the previous ones, even the OP is from Mrs. GREEN APPLE I didn't like as much. Overall, it was a solid start for Cour 2, and Maomao still hasn't forgotten about the frog ๐ธ๐. |

So called "Shisui", if that's her "real name", helped Xiaolan secure a new job after her term ends, which i assume is being a lady-in-waiting to one of the mid-ranking concubines? Not bad, i'd say. Love how our kitty cat is also admiring Shisui's intellect, humble as ever, although i'd bet you're even smarter, Maomao, more than you realize, since you're our heroine after all, but guess even you ain't aware of that, haha. Nonetheless, curious about that cliffhanger with the Diamond Pavilion apparently having a ghost? Which 100% probably ain't, since this ain't no gory-horror show, so it's most likely gonna be some lady-in-waiting who's probably depressed or something, so she's dancing her emotions out, hence the title, "the dancing ghost", either that or, she's planning something evil when some lightning flashed her figure causing the Diamond Pavilion to think of her as a ghost. Nonetheless, excited 4 the next episode as i saw our boy Zuigetsu caressing our kitty, who's most likely gonna grossed by it, but we live 4 those scene boy! |

| @Softhenic03 Maomao was in the way of becoming a apothecary in the pleasure district, she had the life solved. Also, Maomao doesn't have a term to finish. She got expelled from the rear palace (which terminated it inmediately), right now she is there as one of Jinshi's servants that was lent to Gokuyou temporarily. |
