Even though it's the season's finale, Souga still wants to prove himself. This episode was...eh dramatic in cartoony ways.

It's also about time Matsuri realized he loves Suzu even though it was obvious to almost everyone. Fan service is still present even in the finale because the show still wants Matsuri to spend time with Suzu. Funny finale.

I wonder if it's possible to witness Suzu ascend to the throne of the Ayakashi someday.

Suzu, determined to become the new Ayakashi King in place of Shirogane, decides to help troubled ayakashi as her trial. Meanwhile, Matsuri, aware of his feelings for Suzu, finds himself spurred on by Ninokuru's encouragement of romance. Just then, Reo transfers to their high school... The turmoil surrounding the ayakashi shrine maiden is far from over!

What a tangled love triangle! LOL. This male side character is the perfect addition - he knows his place, isn't overly bothersome, occasionally swayed, but aware of his boundaries Suzu is already in the midst of rescuing Matsuri, and we get to see more of Suzu's endearing Ayakashi companions. Once again, the story manages to have its cake and eat it too when it comes to Matsuri finding himself in awkward situations with girls (we see it, but it's not an actual character instigating it). I'm going to miss that banger of a opening and ending.

While Ayakashi Triangle had its fair share of ups and downs, it's not a story meant to be taken too seriously, although the final couple of episodes were. Perhaps I'll give the manga a try now that it's completed.

No matter male or female, Matsuri will find Suzu alluring. But Shirogane has a problem: without his haku, he cannot resume his role as the King of Ayakashi, and demands that Suzu take over his position.

It's back to school, and both Yayo and Lu are worried about both Matsuri and Suzu, even as Hinojiri's episode had just past. But Suzu has already made up her mind to draw more of her powers as an ayakashi medium and help Matsuri turn back into a guy. That said, with Reo enrolling into the school, Suzu is tasked with helping Azubeh the azuki bean counter ayakashi in finding his red beans, as Matsuri finds Ninokuru to inform him of Suzu's new role and his romance with her. The thing is, Matsuri being a girl, he's conflicted with his feelings for Suzu, and Ninokuru places confidence in him. But Ponosuke had the red beans that Azubeh was looking for, though this is the typical gag, added with Reo's idiosyncrasies.

Garaku quickly creates the ceremony for Suzu to become the new king, though Tanumaro objects to this, thinking that she is a weak medium. But Matsuri teaching him that both humans and ayakashi cannot co-exist, and his illusion vision works on Matsuri as revenge from the past, only he can break the ayakashi art himself...that went out of control since Tanumaro hasn't quite mastered the trick yet. And that leaves Suzu to display her powers, which Tanumero eventually acknowledges, and both he and Matsuri made up.

Well, it's sad to say that this was not Kentaro Yabuki's comeback swan, considering that the manga's serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (or Jump+ rather) also ended today.

@KANLen09 this show flopped a lot harder than anyone thought be possible. I had hope when they announced a ton of merch but I guess that didn't contribute to a renewal.

The warning signs when jp twitter saying the final episode meaning it is likely they made the decision not to renew it. When the anime aired, it hardly made any source material spikes. Practically no one outside japan was watching it.

Who knows if yabuki can get another anime after this. Tlr is in limbo since Hashemi and yabuki parted ways.

No usual intro this time
Ninokuru's romance moments are quite funny lol
Long live Suzu-sama!
This is the first time I've seen manga visuals being used in the anime adaptation. Or I guess Kaguya-sama has done that, but I'm not sure if that was taken from the manga or it was just stylized like that.
After a bit of searching around: No that should be just a visual drawn by the mangaka for the anime lol. It was just really similar to the volume covers so I thought it is one.
Nice ending.

A bit better than I expected I guess. The ayakashi lore is quite cool. All of them are real japanese yokai and monsters btw.
7/10
Now we wait for the BDs for the harenchi scenes. Though I'll probably not remember about them by the time they release lol.
And oh damn the manga ended today too. Nice timing.

@icefirestone23 Most likely not, I also have been following the manga sales news, and it really didn't jive well with Japanese audiences like probably after Volume 3 or so. It was nothing special.

Man censorship really killed this episode would’ve been an amazing finale otherwise. Like cmon how you gonna give me this censored The anime ended today and then the manga yesterday. I don’t think it sold well domestically or led to any manga sale increases so I wouldn’t hold my breath for another season. But I liked it. It’s no TLR, but it’s still a light hearted ecchi fun watch.

It sucks that things really got good at the end. Feels like we just finished the prologue and the story is just starting. Like suzu becoming the ayakashi king as a human is really cool and having to navigate conflicts among the ayakashi would be cool to see. The OST that played during her Omokage spell scene was awesome. Think she proved to everyone she’s more than capable to fill in for Shirogane.

Matsuri just began to accept his true feelings about Suzu and is embracing that he’s in love. Still an idiot for not realising that Suzu is clearly obsessed with him tho 🤦🏽‍♂️ 😂. Senpai couldn’t help but have his heart skip a beat seeing Matsuri all flustered.

I think the uncensored version would increase the value of this show tremendously but still had fun with it. Hopefully at some point we’ll get more TLR

@KANLen09 even his Japanese fans preferred if he continued TLR. Many manga readers i know who read through it all didnt really like it. This show definitely didn't capture audiences who weren't familiar with TLR. Yabuki messed up hard. TLR got a half assed ending and yabuki never went back on hasemi's word it will continue. He abandoned TLR for a darling in the franxx adaptation which the creators forced to get axed. Then he went with this which feels like a total flop outside japan, and lukewarm at best inside Japan. I had a feeling early on this wasn't going to do well but it did a lot worse than I imagined, not even getting a 2nd cour despite promotion.

He is such a talented artist yet made some pretty bad decisions. TLR didn't deserve to die for this show

Man, I really need to name of the soundtrack with the chorus in the background when the Ayakashi version of Suzu came out.

As for the finale and show in general, I thought it was whatever, lol. No confession and Matsuri's still a girl, doesn't feel like there was much that happened in the cour, except for that Hinojiki arc and Suzu becoming the King of Ayakashi.

Good to see everyone one last time. Manga and anime ended back to back. Decent adaptation of the manga and it'll be better with uncensored version. Maybe someday we'll get a new season with more.

So since Shirogane is unable to return to his full form, Suzu now has to be the new ayakshi king? Did not expect that, but makes sense since she loves the ayakashi and wishes to keep the peace, and I like how Matsuri set aside his aversion to ayakashi to support Suzu! Wow Reo transferred to their school so she can pursue Matusri, she's serious about her rivalry with Suzu, and since Matsuri's a girl I wonder if Reo would hold back on her advances... I don't think so😅. It's impressive how much Suzu has grown with her ayakashi medium powers, but the look on Garaku's face concerns me. Matsuri's vision was also hilarious btw, if I were him I would also have trouble keeping my composure🤣. Anyway I hope this gets another season, this anime is really great and seems promising in my opinion, I wanna know what happens next. Ik people will say "Read the manga and find out", but I'm still not into reading, even if it's in pictures 😅.

Sad to think the series will just end like this, but even if we get OVAs, it may go the way of Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs, which I feel like had potential, but it was also one of Xebec's last productions before they got bought out

Checking about who voiced Tanumaro, feel like it's the voice actress for Pikachu, Chopper and some others, but the kanji doesn't match.

It's Lucy's voice actress, Kino Hina. Kanji matches, just a different pitch for the character

surprised at the positive responses here. This is not what most to love ru or yabuki fans thought of the series at all. Many saw it as a cheap cash grab with an extremely unoriginal plot. And these are people who bought all the volumes. They especially hated how Yabuki threw Hasemi under the bus for this flop

More of a wholesome ending with a bit of fanservice, guess it was a fitting last episode. Though I don't think that counts as love triangle if two people are the same person xD

A surprisingly good show, even though I though the fanservice was kinda meh. But the characters were interesting to watch and it had some good comedy moments. 7/10

Finally got around to watching this. Forgot the uncensored version came out some time ago. Was disappointed in how lacking the fanservice still was in this, which is why I bothered in the first place. One or two episodes of TLRD probably had more and better ecchi content than the entire season.

Its nice to see Suzu become the king of ayakashi, and the mood between ayakashi and them return back to their normal happy end. Tho as always, this is only the beginning. Ayakashi triangle, unexpected have their charm to be not as the ecchi shit only. But have their time to entertain, with thicc and dipped.

That's all i can say to this kind of show....
