| The stars took the stage. 2023 starting off strong. And they're right, this battle is for the first time truly about becoming King of the Pirates. The second half started slower which is the opposite of how it usually is. Thankfully we still got some good scenes like Lunarian and Zoro lore. Some stuff was surprisingly funny. Two things cracked me up. 1) Whitebeard's iconic laugh with Crocodile's voice is something else xD Should've reused the Marineford material here. 2) random Germa 66 eyecatcher Honorable mention to Queen. He was flexing as if the Ginyu Force taught. And big dragon Momo is finally here too. |

| The heart beat was dragged on. But i'm loving how there are many strong world OSTS lately. Marco was surpringly back. I don't mind the padding Let's go Sanji! Zoro meh. The bandage scene is nice though. And why does Zoro always have to be shirtless all the time? 🤦♂️ Again I don't mind the padding, but others say otherwise lol |

| Zoro is back in action! I really loved a lot of the action sequences in this episode as well as the flashback with Whitebeard. Also a few bits of foreshadowing coming into play! If Luffy vs Kaido is the main act, this is the co-headline. The shot at the end of Momo through the fog looked so sick |
| Jesus Christ didn't Toei say they were going to tone down those annoying flying aura scenes? The Zoro and Sanji scene where they charged up their attacks would've been perfect if Toei hadn't given in to that DBZ-looking nonsense AGAIN. And I really really hate Marco in this arc. Him constantly stepping in to stop Queen and King is becoming way too predictable. |

| The lore from the lunarians and Zoro are both interesting. But the best part of the episode was the double attack from Zoro ane Sanji. Quite a lot of aura used which wasn't necessary, but because of how smooth the whole scene was, It wasn't that bad imo. Also, the anime is so close to quite a lot of great moments. |

Glad 2023 is off to a great start for One Piece anime. Zoro and Sanji will always be a temporary truce but their interactions were still amusing.  |

| what a start to 2023, that one piece animator wasn't lying, the animation was absolutely beautiful, so many scenes i had to rewind 10secs to look at again during the first half. that entire zoro and sanji teaming up sequence was *chefs kiss*. zoro and sanji fans both eating good. |

So wait? Now we think Zoro comes from Wano? Too much for me sorry, just let him be a dude who wanted to be the best swordsman. His backstory was great anyway. |

| First of all, Happy New Year everyone :) What an episode we got to start into 2023. Even with reaching his limit Marco saves the day in the last second and gave Zoro the chance to make his long anticipated comeback. And what a great entrance he got. The following clash between Zoro vs King and Sanji vs Queen, even with the usage of all that aura still looked absolutely insane. Those typical Zoro/Sanji scenes, where they tease each other, never fail to make me laugh. "If we win this battle...", "Yeah, it'll give us a glimpse...of Luffy...becoming the King of the Pirates!" This gave me such big smile on my face and is also something I love about the relationship between Zoro and Sanji. I'm always a sucker for Whitebeard flashbacks. Interesting enough that he talked about the land of Gods which seemed to exist way before Marijoa. I wonder what he was exactly talking about. I have to admit the little Germa 66 display caught me off-guard, because it came completely out of nowhere. But still, why's Sanji feeling strange after putting on his raid suit for the third time? There was Queen's mentioning of Lunarians as well. Beating King and Queen will definitely be the biggest task Zoro and Sanji have ever faced and I can't wait to see more of their perspective fight. Since we've never gotten any further information about Zoro's "real" origin, I'm curious to hear if he's eventually a relative of the from Hyogoro mentioned Shimotsuki Ushimaru. Momo in his big boy dragon form should definitely be able to bring Luffy back up to Onigashima. Should be fun to see Luffy's reaction. Looking forward to next week. |

The upcoming fights (Big Mom vs Kid & Law, Calamity fights, Next Kaido round) need all the budget they can get, some stuff will definitely be "sacrificed" for that, since the raid has a ton of action, there will be a lot more padding, just a forewarning |
| The animation was great until their first attack on Queen and King, but all the rest was lackluster especially in comparison to all the amazing scenes Sanji was having until now. Even the scene of their first attack wasn't perfect, since the animators failed to make Sanji's leg appear like the other wing. Here in the anime he's just doing a straight kick, but in the manga it was a very unique position. Sanji setting fire on his whole body as he ran was nice to see though, and the wheel kick was okay. But Queen shooting bullets instead of a barrage of laser beams was ridiculous. And as a Sanji fan I obviously don't like how they made Zoro appear cutting one of Queen's laser beams before attacking King; He didn't do that in the manga. |

| Credits to Marco for using his last bit of power to save Zoro, Chopper and the remaining medical team. Didn’t know he and Izo have some sort of comradeship between them. Sanjog and Zoro teamwork plus that one sequence of action choreography of the two in harmony was fantastic! Zoro’s father maybe, in that old man’s recollection. They look so alike, what the heck lol? Can’t be Zoro himself, right? |

| I loved Zoro and Sanji's big attack against King and Queen. This moment made the waiting for Zoro's comeback worth it. Queen pointing out that humans don't ignite as Sanji does was weirdly hilarious to me. |

| Two things that are really immportant in tonights episode. First is our boy zoro is finally getting some back story lore and is he connected to the Shimotsuki family in some way? and the next thing is what Queen said about Sanji about a human not being able to ignite fire. and why is his body acting up now? What does this all mean? Do we know everything about Sanji and zoro? perhaps there is some long over do mysteries about these two characters that oda has been hiding from us. This is where Wano truly gets juicy so get ready for some interesting character developments. |

| Watched the ep because of the Zoro & Sanji clip :) How tf do they manage to make animations like this for a WEEKLY anime?? Toei Wano is really going crazy! Though I could agree that they should tone down the auras. Kinda feel bad for Sanji fans because they changed Marco's line and showed only Zoro at first And I know this has been told many times, but they really need to get past the DBZ sound effects era... |
