| Anime is entertainment as much as any other entertainment in the world and the point of entertainment is to relax and have fun. So in short, yes, it is very much worth it. Also above mentioned 300-400 days can be easily acquired through years of watching. It doesn't mean the person has used a year and a half to only watching anime. |

| With 210.4 days in my stats I've been actively watching anime since 2007, so it's around 14 years which is around 15 days per year which doesn't seem that much. Not to mention, if something brings you joy, time invested in it is worth it. |

| Count up how much time people spend watching TV, Netflix or YouTube videos and I'm sure 90% of people in first world countries would rack that up in a few years easy. Not to even bring up gaming or sitting around with friends not really doing much but enjoying yourself at the time. Thinking of it all as time wasted is just stupid. |

| I think 300-400 days is a lot. I watched 142 days and I feel like I watched too much anime at times. Is it a waste of time? No if someone enjoys anime then no I someone is just doing it to increase their completed anime then yes I feel like it is a waste of time. I love and anime and I feel like some anime do waste my time and some I do regret watching. |
| Fun things are fun, I don't really think anime has been a negative for me after 200 days, which probably is a downplay on my days since I don't include rewatches. The only time I consider wasted is time I have to spend working to live (even within this time there are good moments like when I get praised for solving a problem or satisfaction from making a process more efficient, some of my coworkers are nice people to), that's about it, any time spent on household tasks or on any form of leisure was valuable. |

Personally I simply have my meals watching anime, making it somewhat hard to consider this time as wasted, but what do I know? Nonetheless life is hard and hardly anyone is born with enough energies to make the most out of their time, so whatever helps one carry on is welcome as long as it's not criminal. I, for one, wouldn't be any happier if I spent all of my days fruitfully. |

| There's no such thing as a "waste of time" or "wasting time" to begin with. It's an illogical and illegitimate concept. When people say someone else is wasting time, all it means is that said person is not spending their time either: A) How the person criticizing them wishes them to or B) How the person criticizing them would if they were them All it is as a concept is an attempt to get other people to do what you would prefer them to or what you would do if you were them, which is completely irrelevant to who that said other person actually is as a separate person and what they actually want and value. |
