The idea of these robot duels reminds me a little bit of Robotic;Notes...

Linda got the crowd hyped up because she's pretty heh.
I'm pretty sure A106 isn't designed to be a fighting robot so his role in this episode gave me some weird vibes. I think he did well though for someone of his size. I mean, he did have to fight against a robot that was much bigger.

Nice episode, I bet that Six is just matching his power to overcome his opponent with the right amount of power, pretty sure if he uses his 100% would annihilate completely his opponents heh

how come, this show in 2 weeks gone from 7.06 to 6.96 :-/

whaattt? this is such a nice show. i still dont get it why people arent interested in this series. personally, i give it 7.5-8.

also, Six is only 80kg? he's full metal (heh) right? maybe Six uses those high tech light but durable metal. i thought at least he should be 120kg.

that linda-whatsoever wasted 5min of the show with her intro. tch

Good episode.

'Six's way of things' is awesome. I really like how Six shows compassion in his own way, plus I'm really glad that the crowd acknowledged him at the end.

The only thing missing from the robo fights are the Gundam eye flashes. If they had one of those every time Six scanned his enemy, it'd be so epic. xD

Ikr? besides the really low viewers of this anime on this site, I started to think that the problem is that people thought this was going to be a superpower nonsense instead of a heartwarming half slice of life where "nothing happens" and here we have robo fights due to that "nothingness"

A great episode.

Six-kun has showed skills in the robo-wres. I really want to see him go all out though. It's nice that he was acknowledged.

Six is such an inspiration man :'') It was really nice to see the audience stop hating on him and start acknowledging the way he does things

This anime is so underrated.
Another great episode but this one is definitely my favourite one.
A106 is just amazing and really show how tactical he is fighting.
It was nice that the crowd finally seen his qualities at the end xD
That was quite moving.

This is what I wanted from the show. Do want to Six go all out though. Six vs. Mars hype.

I'll explain the episode in 4 words: Real Steel...But Lame

I anticipate more action in the semi-finals and finals
I shall rule over the realms of anime and manga! Mwahhahahahaha!!!

This anime adapted only four chapters from the manga until now, and when they finally got back to the original plot with this tournament... The next episode will be another filler, lol.

So the ep was nice not the best cuz I prefer Six interacting with people, the nature etc. not robot duels but I am still down for some Six action.

Wtf was with this crowds opinions "180 degrees" indeed.

Was a nice episode, without free violence, because i cannot imagine a robot fight with violence, but was a surprise, and great and positive surprise watch the two Six fights respecting humans and robots!!!!

I'm liking the pacing for the robo wrestling thus far. It seems to be a bit faster than the manga, which is good. I am a bit worried about the filler in the next episode preview, but hopefully the filler part will only be for half of the episode.

Aside from that, I find it a bit odd how they gave Linda an undershirt with her bikini, how's that kind of thing going to get the crowd worked up? lol.
Maybe they're saving the actual bikini for the bluray edition? lmao. xD

Of course, it's not really worth thinking too much about the plot, since the show will be over in 4 episodes and almost certainly won't receive a second season, much less go into the eventual result of Tenma and Ochanomizu's work, seeing as it's already logically impossible to accept this as any sort of prequel.

What makes you think it won't get a second season? I could definitely see it getting one since it's based on such a big property as Astro Boy, and the manga is already further ahead in Japan.

It's quite interesting how A106 is "winning" these battles, quite interesting indeed!

Seeing the Kindhearted Child of Science way of winning was strangely moving. It's always a great feat when an anime manages to convey such subtle emotions to viewer who lives in completely different universe.

Reminds of pretty much any shonen animes. There always seems to be some form of gladiator dueling going on. I was hoping this was going to be different. Nope.
Which one do you want? An Addiction or A Good Life?
A) Addiction - a progressive narrowing of the things that bring you pleasure.
B) A Good Life - a progressive expansion of the things that bring you pleasure and includes pleasure through motivation and hard work.

I like how A106 is winning his matches. First, he scans them for a weak spot and attacks it effortlessly with precision and accuracy immensely impressive for a robot. While simultaneously, following Tenma's order of finishing fights with a single strike and flashingly ripping out the vital point. Three birds one stone right?
