| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- New One Piece opening song debuts in this episode and I gotta say that I like it. It sounds way different than the 17th opening and the new one sounds more pleasing to my ears. Sabo vs. Vice Admiral Bastille wasn't so bad (stop cleaving those buildings), but look at Sabo block and crush Bastille's Shark Cleaver! What a BA! The meteorite that Admiral Fujitora brought down was sliced into huge pieces thanks to the Birdcage. >.> Sabo remembers their vow of brotherhood as well as the grief of discovering the death of Ace while he was unable to do anything to save Ace. Well, Sabo and Fujitora just started their epic battle, but what we've seen from this episode wasn't enough. -.- |
| I love the new opening now... also, the first half of this ep was meh.. but the second half, especially towards the end was good... if only the pacing and animation was a bit better :/ is Bastille dead? doubt it |
| The new opening is absolutely wonderful, but man that ending scene, couldn't help but get chills seeing Fujitora and Sabo clash. Hopefully we'll get to see a little more of the fight next week. |

| The opening is alright, but there was way too much time wasted showcasing all of the Strawhats as usual, especially considering that 4 of them aren't even in this arc anymore. Could have included some cool fight scenes with the executives, without it being too spoiler-ish. 7/10 I'd say for the opening. |

About that, half a year ago, Sabo was reintroduced, along with Big Mom attacking the Sunny. What happend to Sanji and the guys? I think it's about time we hear from them again. |

| Honestly, I'm not impressed with Sabo's fight with the Navy. He is the the Revolutionary's No.2 so he's supposed to be op as fuck but he fights like a rookie. Hopefully his fight with Fujitora would be more interesting. Also people are talking about the new opening but I missed it. Whenever I watch a one piece episode I always skip it to 4:00. Well I guess I'll just wait for the next week's episode to see it. |

| Thew new OP is great :) I really love it. The episode was slow-paced as the ones before, I really do hope they change that. But apart from that, it was nice to see Sabo fighting against Bastille and Fujitora. |

| The only good thing about this episode was Sabo. It's been awhile since this show has introduced a new character that didn't instantly annoy me. Now its time to see if they ruin him in some stupid way, like they did with Bartolomeo :/. But yeah, the rest of the episode was pretty meh. |

| I enjoyed the episode, it was cool to see Sabo play with his new powers and be a bit of a bad ass. Can't wait to see Dragon in action in 6 or 7 years. Not only does he have a powerful devil fruit, if Sabo's his disciple he must be way more powerful (no surprise given his bloodline.) I didn't mind the flashback, it was nice to get a little more into Sabo's head and his feelings about what happened with Ace. |

| Sabo is a badass how he destroyed the vice admiral. And admiral will be next! Always love to see the three brothers Ace, Sabo and Luffy. But before some usual One Piece logic: If vice admiral commands not to fire at Sabo every soldier thinks they have to fire. |

| Why does it feel sad like this, it is like Sabo will die as well. I wouldn't have the emotional energy to handle Sabo's death at any point in the future. I liked this episode eventhough it seems underwhelming. |

| I'm a TV only viewer. Looking forward for this arc to end. My theory is that he mugiwara's will acquire, instead of the established one-per-island nakama, at least five more. I think these are: Cavendish, bartolomeo, rebecca and those two brothers who are riding the bull. This allows luffy to divide his forces, widen them, allocating forces in different parts of the sea. They won’t have time anymore for the smaller battles that are important to win in a big-scale battle. At this point in the story they can’t get distracted by lesser matters. The reason is that, at this rate, the strawhats have no way of facing the higher tier of enemy-states-armies that rule the New world. The Yonko are the yonko because of their structural political power; alliances, routes of commerce, leverage. A crew composed of 3 middle-upper tier fighters (luffy, zoro, sanji) + filler fighters (the rest of the crew, i would say, has more of a story/mood importance to the story). They need heavy firepower and artillery and connections and followers; they must reach legendary status if they wanna make any ripples on the sea’s surface. That’s why sanji's crew formed a separate group. This has no precedence in the story. Normally all the crew arrives together, all the crew (+1) leaves together. that's the reason none of the upper-level hierarchy of the mugiwaras has gone all out. it's known that post-timeskip luffy and zoro have gotten up against strong but somewhat fillerish enemies. I think Oda has decided the story has matured enough to play around with the narrative structure of the series. doflamingo's island represents this transition to the world of adults. There is too much on the line. They might just be flexing their muscles but the Navy is now mobilizing their heavy firepower (admiral+vice admiral+c90). Dragon’s army deploying Sabo, whos been pretty much established as a high-tier fighter after his showcase with the navy, and is clearly staying in the story for good. The navy, of course, knows this. Now with the open confession that sabo is luffy's brother, the navy fully grasps the real danger and the potential problem that the mugiwaras could turn into. The reason that is those five that I mentioned and none of the other 50,000 new characters introduced (the other characters will serve as allies instead of actual crewmembers), is that they're the only non-one-dimensional characters in the current arc. they have depth, back stories or personality, and pathos. They feel close not only to the cause, but the mugiwara's members and their philosophy. They understand them and have a reason to continue. |
