| Inverse rape... damn, this main character pisses me off. I feel like this reverse harem is basically a huge banquet for Nicoletta to sample each dish (those being the staff) as she aimlessly idles her youth away. This idea of dish sampling is the backbone of harems, I suppose. I was pretty fed up when she said a wall had broken between her and Claudio after he said he was divorced. Nicoletta basically disregarded his feelings completely and started gunning for him once she realized he was single. If this sexual assault scene was done the other way around, I'm sure a lot more people would be angry with the plot development within this show. Be a bit more considerate, Nicoletta... no matter how hot and refined these gentlemen are, they're more then just pretty ornaments to fondle with. The most disturbing thing was when Cluadio passively forgave Nicoletta's actions after acting so mortified the night before... I just can't help but feel there is something really wrong going on here. I really like Natsume Ono's art style and her penchant for atmospheric stories, but green-lit inverse rape, selfish main characters and typical harems bother me. |

| Okay I have nothing against terms of respect (I like it for what purpose it serves) but man it's really really refreshing to not hear stuff like san, desu, masu etc. (unless its part of context) It adds to the relaxing nonchalant feel of it. This anime is just so welcoming. I love it. Another great episode. I like the main pair, and its nice to see an aggressive female character. |

| Why did Nicoletta try to undress him? haha that's so weird. Not sure what she thought was going to happen. I'm getting the feeling especially from the 1st episode that Claudio is gay and that's what split up the marriage. Also it is very interesting how all the main characters frown so much. Especially Nicoletta and her mother. Big mouths with frowns. Very interesting choice. Love the mother's expressions all the time! This is very interesting relationship dynamic going on here. |

| Interesting episode, even though I liked the first episode more. The general feel of this show is laid back and relaxing, and keeps on reminding me why I like SoL anime so much in the first place. |
| Well this is not what I was expecting from this show. I thought it'd be fairly relaxed and more focused on the food. There's been some food but it's not the focus, at least so far. I can't ignore that Nicoletta jumped on Claudio (a man that she's known for two? days) in her apartment and just started taking off his clothes while he sat frozen in shock. It didn't stop when he told her to hold on or when he voiced his uncertainty. It stopped when her mum walked in but what if there hadn't been an interruption? He hadn't shown any interest in her beyond being friendly and polite, and not even an hour earlier told her that the reason he wore a wedding ring was to keep customers from trying to pursue him. Later she apologises for what happened but immediately follows that by saying she wants to let him know she's serious and doesn't regret it? And then chuckles and says she'll lay off a bit. Wtf. He starts to say something, probably to turn her down, and she cuts him off, talking about how she's serious about becoming a chef at the restaurant that they now both work at and he ends the conversation with words of encouragement. She sexually assaulted him and isn't remorseful at all, if anything she seems emboldened to continue pursuing him. Does it matter what he thinks or wants? This was made 15 years ago so perhaps it's a product of its time but it still doesn't make it okay, just because the genders are swapped. I think the fact that he's supposed to be an older man at that makes it seem as if it's okay, like he can't be a victim to a young woman, but it's not true. After the interruption, she goes to the kitchen with her mum to talk and her mum seems to lay claim to him despite being married to the owner of the restaurant? She says all men who work at the restaurant belong to her. It's really odd. The employees are not objects to own. Unless there's some sort of kinky arrangement but I don't think that's the case here. He comes in to apologise and her mum says something like "I know she dragged you here against your will" ??? He starts to disagree but is cut off. I'm kind of curious to watch the rest of the anime but I can't ignore that they added this. It was so sudden too, episode 2? There are better ways for a character to show their lust or interest than jump to taking off clothes without consent. For an anime showing gentlemen and refinement, this was so out of place. |
