From what I get it was created by the Soviet Union so they could annex some land before they fought in World War 2 (Bessarabia and northern Bukovina) and when Ukraine was invaded by Russia suddenly NAFO accounts wanted Romania to annex Moldovia using the same excuse that Russia used to annex Ukraine saying its not a real nation made by the Soviet Union.

Eh? I don't think I read that anywhere. If I recall, Russia does occupy a piece of Moldova called Transnistria. As for opinion polls, majority of Moldovans hold pro-EU views, but have little interest in reuniting with Romania. I did read that the EU has made Moldova a negotiating candidate for membership (alonside Ukraine).
Apart from this, Moldova is a UN member state and is recognised by all member states. So yeah, I do believe it's a country in its own right.

It has a military, it has a leader, it has a distinct nation that does not want to reunite with Romania, therefore it is as real as it can get.

If a country is recognized that is when it becomes a country. Problem is not every country recognizes the same countries.

Yes, Moldovans gave the world the Numa Numa song so obviously they deserve international recognition as an independent state.

Transnistria on the other hand..... that's a whole different issue...

Um, what? The Principality of Moldova and the Moldovans existed long before the USSR was even conceived.

If you define a nation as a group of people sharing a common language, ethnicity and culture, then no.
Moldovans speak what is nowadays commonly considered a dialect of Romanian but it's not only Moldovans living in Moldova. There are Gagauz people in the south and many Russians and Ukrainians in the east in what is today an unrecognized state of Transnistria that rose up against Moldova. That was because they feared that Moldova would seek reunification with Romania and thereby they would become a minority in a nation-state, similar to the Hungarians in Romania.
Note: not being a nation state does not mean a country doesn't have a right to exist. Also some Moldovans may believe they are a nation on their own.

Yes Moldova and Wallachia (what became Romania after the Ottomans started sucking) were two different countries that spoke the same language so the division existed before the Soviets (athough I've read that the Soviets exaggerated the differences between them to stop the unification movement that was getting traction).
Not sure what the old countries of Moldova and Wallachia thought of each other. A historian or someone from the area can shed some light on that.

@Theo1899 With the same logic, you can say that Romania downplayed differences in order to claim annexation of Moldovan lands. Which is essentially happening right now. My mother lived almost her entire youth in the Ukrainian part of Bukovina, and even there there was talk that all of Bukovina should supposedly belong to Romania.

@RobertBobert Maybe. Seeing how much Romania expanded since its founding I wouldn't be surprised if they still have ambitions.

@Theo1899 This is Eastern Europe, everyone here has ambitions. Especially when it comes to historical regions separated by several countries. For example, Bukovina, which I mentioned, managed to end up in four different countries over the course of a couple of centuries, which is why Chernivtsi actually became a multicultural city.

It all depends on which powerful countries that surround Moldova would have to say.

It's like South Korea, a very weak country-like entitty in East Asia that economically and diplomatically relies on the USA, China, Russia, and North Korea.

Indeed, it's a real nation. Separate culture, history, and identity. Moldova as a state is also a UN member recognized by all its members, which is enough these days to be as real a country as it is possible. I'm saying these days because general recognition is not necessary for a country to exist and function normally. Transnistria and Somaliland are good examples of such countries. They aren't recognized by any member of the United Nations, but their respective governments are in control of territories claimed as theirs and are capable of enforcing their laws. Also, they meet all four basic requirements of statehood written in the Montevideo Convention from 1933: 1) a permanent population; 2) a defined territory; 3) government; and 4) capacity to enter into relations with the other states.

By the way, it's not like Moldova emerged in 20th century, lol. Moldova existed long before the 20th century. The Principality of Moldavia was created in the 14th century, after all.

More importantly I'm worried about the number of warmongers running their nations ..
There haven't been this many warmongers since the world War 2..

I haven't been there so it must not exist It's been recognised by several countries as such and the people that live there say that they are a real nation.
