| While I won’t disagree with the iconic part, there’s a lot more to consider than just a studio making a lot of well-known and influential anime. This same thing can be said to other major studios such as KyoAni and MAPPA since they’ve also made a lot of popular anime. |

| Toei is certainly a very old and reputable company but to say is the "best" is kind of an exaggeration since there so many other studios that deserve as much praise, each doing thing differently to their own flavour so you get a variety of show for entertainment. |

Toei and sunrise both.. In 2018 I used to watch Gintama silver soul arc by sunrise followed by Gegege no kitarou by toei.. |

Actually, something I noticed whilst glancing over a list of their works. Despite both inventing and dominating production of the mahou shoujo genre, all the mahou shoujo anime which I actively like are by other companies. |
