feeding wild animals is bad practice in general, but birbs can be especially destructive. Would you feed the pigeon even if it destroys the ecosystem? Do you know anyone in your family or friends that does that? What do you do to stop them?  |

If you are already in a big city where the natural terrain has basically been transformed into a place that is mainly surrounded by tall buildings, asphalt roads and everything else is simply concrete or man made structures, the Ecosystem there is already altered and destroyed. |

| Not sure what this has to do with anime, but The ends don't justify the means and the opposite: the ends don't vilify the means. You save some dude's life and he turns out to be a mass murderer, it's not your fault. More to the point, if you save a bird from starving, it doesn't mean you are responsible for everything the bird does. By the way, saving a human from starving is almost certainly going to do way more environmental damage than saving a bird. The best way to protect the environment is to kill as many humans as you can. |

| Ah yeah, the same ecosystem that is responsible for more death and suffering than anything else in this world and has wiped out nearly 100% of the species that have inhabited our planet over the past billion years (and will inevitably wipe out all the rest if left unchecked). Must protect it at all cost and never interfere by helping wild animals indeed - weaklings! Now, feeding pigeons is quite pointless in urban environments since they can usually get enough food by themselves anyway and all you do is slightly alter their behavior, but the logic given in this thread is quite silly. In fact, there are plenty of wild species that should be fed and protected or otherwise they risk extinction, whether it's from human hand or natural causes. |

Also I was a scrawny 11 y/o boy, you could actually touch and count my entire rib cage, and when seated and bend forward you could see the bones in my spine, their shape and what not. You could gently suggest your friends could redirect their generosity to something less apocalyptic and suspenseful, like feeding Ryoutsu. Or better yet, hand them a broom and say, Since you summoned the winged menace, you get to clean up their poop... I couldn't find a pigeon screenshot or input crows.  |
| Humans have already destroyed their ecosystem; urban areas are their new home. But I never feed pigeons, as far as I know. I don't think I've ever had the opportunity. It must be cool to watch them eat. One day, I'll feed pigeons and their ilk to admire their cuteness:D |
