They explained so much in this episode.
Thats why Kyouma hates so much Mira, her body was supposed to be the new body of his girlfriend/wife...damn.
So what happened that day in Easter Island is what cause her death :/ If he changes it somehow, maybe his gf can live? Like changing the past.
Absolutely love this episode, that flashback part 10/10.

Looking through the search terms that have directed people to my blog, I spotted this little gem. It's totally what's going to happen! I believe it with all of my heart.

Mira is Miyabi, at least one other person thinks so!

Too rushed. Halfway in and I started wondering what was happening. But gradually got the gist of it. Wasn't expecting this revealation. That does explain Kyouma's indifference towards Mira to some extent. Loser pair was great too. A good episode in terms of enjoyment.

Learn more about how Lwai got a robot body.
And who Loser really is...very interesting.
As for Mira...didn't know that she had the body that was meant for Miyabi.
Danger approach, now time for waifu Mira to protect her man!

I though it was a pretty good episode, my favorite part however was the scene where the guy knocked the chestnuts out of the tree because when I was little my old house had a Chestnut tree in the yard and I ran outside once and stepped all over the prickly seeds.

My parents cut down the tree not long afterwards, I was pretty mad about that, I still enjoy Chestnut trees to this day.

I guess there's more to Loser than we originally thought. A lot of info regarding everyone's pasts are being revealed and are showing us that they might be more connected than we thought. Pretty good episode.

Finally it gives shape to all the doubts that were previously involved in the plot, raziocinando these mysteries you have a picture almost complete and also the concept of the W dimension is not so random, pretty satisfied. Now I think the anime series will aim to conclude the affair at least taken into consideration, I do not imagine they can do more, given the number of episodes that are missing at the end.

Man, this 'Adrastea' think catches me off guard as it's another way to say 'Adrasteia', where my usernames come from... I don't really know how it relates, but Adrastea was a greek nymph who mothered Zeus when he ran away from Chronus, who tried to kill him.

This is extremely hard to follow and understand for non readers. It's literally all over the place. Mind-boggling, confusing, yet with strong foreshadowing.

I was seriously going to drop this series but I guess this episode saved me from dropping it. Despite the episode being just a bunch of flashbacks and past memories, it was certainly better than the previous ones for me. Until then~

Nooo! Fking ending! Just when things were so interesting, the episode ends =(
I think we finally get confirmation on things we already "knew", which is good.
Lot of flashbacks and explanations, I liked this episode =)

Loser was also a scientist and a powerful inventor of the energy shield!

Spin Dart is a cool devastating weapon! ans is only mastered by Kyouma.

Just another possible reference about the theory-craft of Dimension W, I suspect they allude to the Wave Function Collapse and the lost probability, which is supposedly vanish like real-world theories, turned into pure energy instead in W dimension.

The symbol for wave function in pysics is Psi ( Ψ )

The author seems to connect it with the philosophy of space and time, specifically the philosophical arrow of time, where 'future' and 'past' are mere concepts that basically constructed by our observation. Thus, 'memories' of our previous experience of 'past' contributes greatly to the wave function collapse.

The last part to kick in in this anime episode is, Kyouma is the sole person who existed at the ground zero when the incident happen. I believe this fact alone may have something related with the other incident somewhere else where Miyabi becomes victim.

Now is a good time to rewatch the 5th episode where two possibilities overlaps in the same time-space continuum. 'Nothingness' happens when wave function collapse favor the other possibilities, thus making the other possibilities disappear...

Also, another possibilities: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternalism_%28philosophy_of_time%29

The history of everyone are coming together now and it made a lot of sense :D if only this show gets a lot more viewership :/

A good ending would be Haruka dying, Loser and his daughter surviving, Kyouma gets to see Mira inheriting Miyabi's memory and decides to use coil again and they wage war against the corrupt New Tesla.

So they need to introduce the new scientist at the end on the anime in order to explain and fit all things? Very cheap.

Loser is very well elaborated though ;)

Good episode. This anime is good when it sticks to the main plot.

Plenty of info revealed... Loser... the real bad-guy... Mira (obvious?)... Kyouma apparently lost some memories in the void before.

Whoa, interesting flashbacks and memories. I thought Mira was kinda similar to Kyouma's late wife. I thought perhaps it would turn out she was her or had her conscience.. but that sounds too much like an american love sci-fi drama xD

I think Kyouma is very lucky that Mira still hasn't bailed on him or got angry with him. She is being really patient and kind.

Damn, this is complicated. It's making my head hurt...

So if I understand correctly, Loser was a scientist and his wife did something to prevent what the weird light blue-haired guy was planning. Kyoma and Loser both escaped the incident and Loser wife died or at least, she disappeared in the reaction. At the same time, in a place that was far from there, Kyoma wife died, with only her head disappearing? That's just super odd, how her head was cut clean, with no apparent effect on the rest of her body... And how this could be related to the the Easter Island incident...

Oh boy, at least I have the feeling things are getting a bit more clear.

Okay, well, wow...this is turning to be much more interesting than I used to think.

Especially the fact that Mira's body was designed for Kyouma girlfriend....wow.

I'm considering giving it a 10 instead of just 9.

He should be showing that more ;)
AL's not half bad as well :p

More seriously, this was a good episode and I like the revelations especially about the back guy and Loser.

Normally I'm pretty apprehensive about mostly backstory episodes (especially when so much of DW has at this point been told in backstory), but this was SUCH a cool episode. The way it was presented with the fates of the three characters entwined was so cool.

The connection between Mira and Miyabi has been pretty clear for a while now; I'm if anything saddened that her body was just made as a shell for Miyabi. I was nearly certain Mira is a cyborg, part of Miyabi installed into her. It would make Mira's life-like responses make so much more sense... and I'm still not completely convinced that isn't the case.

Man, it'd be nice if the clueless dopes doing the same thing that happened in Isla or whatever it was called in this anime were anime fans and noticed the parallels between what they're currently trying to do with their whole "revolution" nonsense in America and several other nations in modern times, and thought it through.

Of course, that would inherently take a small amount of critical thinking and some conscious recognition of what they themselves do through the course of their lives, which I think is beyond the scope of most of the people I'm referring to are even capable of.

No - they'll continue to support the things they were "told" to support, and lead their respective countries into conflict which is both planned well in advance and will be taken advantage of by their many enemies - just like the mindless drones we see in anime extras. A plot device for the ruling elite, the puppet masters - and most will likely never amount to any more than that.

It's plain to see what sort of real-life events influenced this particular piece of back-story - plenty of them to choose from in the last couple hundred years, as well as numerous in the present. Unfortunate how many know so little of history that they still willingly act as a catalyst to their own (and unfortunately many other's) demise.

(haha! maybe this isn't the place for such a monologue, but it's the truth regardless)

Excellent episode, by the way.

Previously, Kyoma punched Mira in the face because she was missing, and now Salva slapped Lasthi because he wanted her to come with him? Wtf is wrong with the men on this show?

So.....Loser is Julian? I'm more curious on who or what Elizabeth is actually, is she a real human being or......

Wondering the same thing about both yr points here. I think Lasthi is a slave or something based on a previous comment by Salva. That's kind of weird considering the context. A lot of the stuff with Africa in this show is pretty... off(?) I would say. It seems like the fake country they are from is basically Egypt, but they often reference Africa as a whole. Everyone in the country seems to be an Arab except the royal family and the guy who started the coup.

This episode shifted around a bit. It was sort of hard to follow. There was a lot of backstory all at once, something that this show keeps doing. The backstory was interesting, seeing Loser as a scientist and such, but I found some of it hard to follow. I find that green-haired guy very cliche and annoying, and he just appeared out of nowhere.

The spindart tech explanation was kind of goofy. Also, Loser using the Numbers as superpowers was kind of goofy too. This episode made it explicitly clear that Dimension W is a dimension of thoughts held together by memories of the past. That's kind of neat, but they are using it in a way to just do anything. I find that kind of cheap, I guess.

The island is kind of like the area in the Stalker games (I can't speak for the film or book, having never seen/read them). There are pockets of bad areas, so to speak. I kind of like that. It also has a kind of leyline reference to that belief in the real world. There is definitely some cool stuff here, even if I'm not totally sold on everything about this show.
