Wow, just wow, I wasn't expecting this episode to be so emotion. I shed some tears I confess.

So Luffy gets to fight one of the strongest CP9s this early, nice.

Most of it was a recap of the little garden and usopp. But it was nice to see a fighting scene between Luffy and Blueno.
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.~

Yeah, it was kind of cool that the giants were connected to the ones on Little Garden. Still, the episode didn't do much for me emotionally.

I wonder how Luffy is suddenly kicking this guys ass? Maybe it's because he doesn't have to hesitate like Nami mentioned at Water 7? Not to mention he twirled his arm around so much it has to have alot of force.

i like the connection back to little garden! the giants seem to be a nice race on the whole, with that whole pride and honor thing.

luffy suddenly got strong. i buy that determination and reason is a big power up for him, but ehhhhh.

:] I had a feeling those giants had a connection with Dory and Brogy.

This episode, for what ever reason, got me to realize how proud I am of the crew, they've come so far it's unbelievable.

aw cute little flashback of the elbaf giants.
usopp will probably convince them to help him now in the battle.
i have to admit, i felt pretty sad when the sea king died. so cruel!
and luffy has gotten a LOT stronger. he hurt him through his tekkai!

Sodom the King Bull dying was awful but the battle must continue. The link to Little Garden was nice but it was a bit on the nose for them to have been on the same crew. It''ll probably give them the encouragement they need to fight against the government and that's why it was written like that.

I figured Usopp unintentionally hanging back would've turned out for the best somehow. Looks like he might end up recruiting two powerful allies.

To be fair, both Franky and Sanji were nearly able to break Blueno's Tekkai with some of their stronger attacks. It's not all that surprising that one of Luffy's strongest attacks, rifle, is able to hurt him somewhat.

For an episode titled "Give Robin Back! Luffy vs. Blueno!" there wasn't a whole lot of well Luffy fighting Blueno oh well the lit bit we did see was pretty cool. I'm curious what this new technique Luffy mentioned was, and weather or not he'll use it on Blueno or save it for someone like Lucci.

My one nitpick complaint about Enies Lobby has been that it’s been one fun blur, but a blur nonetheless. It lacks the memorability of arcs like Arlong or Alabasta on the episode to episode basis. Sure, the overarching structure is memorable but we just got a couple episodes of the same predictable thing happening each time. Luffy ran around being chased. Sanji and the guys rode along on monsters or a train to get into town. The no-names helped by getting gates open or fighting other no names. And nothing was challenging. Is this a real criticism, no. However, it’s something that I felt never really happened in my other favorite arcs other than the filler in Alabasta. I just wish more was going on that we could have speculated on because I was just waiting for everything that’s happened so far to happen with no surprises. It’s been clear and it’s like we’re driving to a destination with no road bumps or obstacles and I want to stress, it is fun, it’s just that it’s kind of… substanceless? This has only been for a handful of episodes now and the reason I bring this up into detail is because, THIS EPISODE CHANGED THAT COMPLETELY!!! This was awesome and it seems like potentially the turning point of this. It was so memorable and there’s a fair bit to talk about.

Firstly, a small thing. I love how Water 7 has not only explored Usopp’s and Luffy’s characters in so far as seeing what would break them, and has given more depth to Robin, but I also love the relationship development that has gone on between some of them. Zoro has shown to care about Usopp more than ever this arc and this episode was another case of it. When Nami and the others were worried for Usopp he said with full confidence that, “he, too, has always survived life or death situations, no one in our group would die so easily”. It’ so awesome the trust he shows in Usopp. And following this line it showed another example from the other notable relationship I adore, Sanji and Chopper! Chopper exclaims fear since he doesn't know Sogeking is Usopp and Sanji comforts him like he did when Chopper thought Robin left because of him, and those times that Chopper wanted to see and worried about Usopp and says “he’s an invincible hero, right?”, I adore how this arc has developed these relationships. Everyone is feeling closer.

AND THEN USOPP TALKS TO THE GIANT!! I really wanted someone who knew Dorry and Brogy to talk to them and I expressed that and Usopp gave that exactly, remembering everything about them because, to him, the giants of Elbaf are what he’s inspired to be like exactly! Both of them cry manly tears and somehow just somehow Oda salvages the disgusting character of the giants and created a great memorable scene. If Usopp doesn’t train under a giant in Elbaf one day, preferably Dorry or Broggy, we are going to miss out on something incredibly special.

Then Sodom nearly, or does die. He turns to everyone to tell them to go on ahead with tears in his eyes and blood all over him. One Piece both made a 1D mean giant a good character and made a goofy giant animal a total homie with an adorable backstory and a strong resolve to help his savior and his comrades. Holy how, this is what I mean when I say the monotony seems to be over. It’s so special that Zoro showed real regret to the loss of Sodom before pulling everyone forward.

Blueno warns Luffy something that we all know, attacking the world government means they will be criminals on a scale insanely higher than before. All of them should get bounties outside of maybe Usopp because he’s wearing a mask but the joke is no one falls for it anyways, so probably not. Stronger people than ever will be after them and everyone will know their faces and be on the lookout for them. It seems as though this attack on Enies Lobby is going to change how One Piece goes forward forever regardless of the outcome here.

Luffy Gum Gum Rifle’s through iron body, something that’s always a delight to see regardless of if it’s Franky, Sanji, or Luffy doing it. One thing to mention about this is, if I recall correctly the attack that we’ve seen that did the most damage to iron body was Gum Gum Rifle, and it's an attack that Luffy did to Usopp in their duel. My God. He really gave Usopp his all and Usopp taking that hit shows just how strong he can be...
Proceeding this he does gatling on Blueno in what seemed to be a bait because Luffy was ready for the dash, turned basically before Blueno moved knowing exactly when and where he’d want to escape to, and followed that dash with a smack to the un-iron bodied face. That is the start of a memorable and awesome fight if I’ve ever seen one. I had to rewatch that amazing encounter a few times.

“The world this, the government that, it’s not my problem. We came here to get robin back.”
Luffy is my hero and my idol oh my god I love him so much.

Usopp showed once again that he's the best person in the anime when it comes to resonating with other people's feelings. I never expected that I'd be hearing about the Little Garden giants this far in and feel emotional about it but here we are~

I feel bad for Sodom... I hope that he's not dead (by One Piece standards he wouldn't be in the end but yeah).

Luffy's fighting against Blueno and he's actually getting his ass kicked hard-core this time around! He might be the 2nd weakest main fighter of CP9 but this definitely shows how much Luffy's resolve have strengthened once he found out about Robin's real predicament. I'm excited to see everyone in the crew have insanely high bounties after this lmao

Just an innocent question from a child could cause so such repercussion!🤣

The title of this episode is wrong! This is obviously Usopp's episode. The Luffy vs Blueno fight just started at the end; and there I was, expecting more.😫

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

Wow, so Luffy got hella strong all of a sudden? Must be the new outfits xD.
The title felt misleading since most of the time it's a lot of recaps. Only about a min or so of their fight and ending it with Luffy saying the coolest things (like always). To be continued.

Did not expect the throwback to little garden and dori and nori. I loved that Usopp moment. Feel so bad for this giants being tricked. Maybe they will help now that they know the truth.

Felt bad for the creature too.

And finally!!! That’s my boy Luffy. It’s so good to see someone from CP9 to get hit. Luffy with motivation is just so coo. Really great episode

Well it looks like the Straw Hats didn’t need to panic because Sniper King is back where the giants at the front gate were and as luck would have it the two of them were ACTUALLY crew members of Dorry and Broggy who are their chiefs to them. Apparently the Marines lied to them about how Dorry and Broggy got captured and they had them work for the Marines in order to see them again but as we all know that’s not the case because the Straw Hats saw them back on Little Garden. This was a great way to tied back to that arc and have Sniper King tell the giants the truth about what happened. They really got done dirty there. I reckon the Marines just had them for hired help and nothing else, otherwise there’s no reason for them to aid the Government in anyway.

God I felt sorry for Sodom as he got shot by a mortar shell. What is it with One Piece and making animals/sea creatures in this world so sympathetic that we ultimately care about? My god Oda makes us care sincerely. Though the episode is titled after the fight with Luffy and Blueno, we only saw a bit of it at the end but that being said it was very satisfying to see Blueno get smashed around by Luffy and from what I’m seeing this fight is already shaping up to be pretty awesome there.

A great episode on the whole I’d say.
