100% fucking pumped. I'm not huge on this anime but I swore that I would rewatch it if the dub happens. And I abso-fucking-lutely will. Even though Crispin Freeman is the main attraction, I like the entire cast. I'm really curious to hear Michelle Ruff's take on mega-dandere Nagato.

Cripes, I didn't notice it before, but Johnny Yong Bosch isn't listed on there... I know he's not as important this time around but I would like him back as Koizumi all the same.

Honestly considering putting this on hold and waiting until the dub for the episodes I'm on comes out.

I want to second this, but I think I'm too far in to wait another 5 or so months to finish the series.

Haven't seen the dub yet. If only I could watch it without subscribing to Funi.

Just saw it. I know the shows not the best (and that's putting it lightly) but I had a huge fucking grin on the entire time. I like Michelle Ruff's take on this version of Nagato, and Crispin Freeman is still fucking amazing.

I personally held out on watching the series completely until now just in case something like this happened.

And BOY am I glad I did.

Oh wait, found it. I love Ruff's take on Yuki here. A great cast returning for a great show.

I would have waited if I knew it was getting dubbed so soon.

I still don't understand why people love the Haruhi dub so much. It was just... passable. Both leads, while great actors on their own, were miscast as Kyon and Haruhi (both sounding too old for the roles.)

I personally thought most if not all of the voices sounded very similar to their original Japanese voices. Crispin Freeman really does a good job with Kyon.

You're wrong. Sure it's not as good as the Steins;Gate or Cowboy Bebop dubs (nothing is), but it's close, and full of character. Sometimes NOT sounding like a teenager is a good thing.

Did I say it was a bad dub? No. It is an acceptable dub if you don't like to read subtitles. Like you say it's not one of the great English dubs like Cowboy Bebop or, one of my favorites, Fullmetal Alchemist.

Plus the Japanese version of Haruhi is already PERFECT, you can't improve on it.

Can't argue with you there. But I think Wendee Lee's performance is highly underrated. She nails that youthful exuberance that makes Haruhi so charming. But of course, Hirano does the same and sounds cuter. *shrugs*

But I still think it's a WAY better than "passable" dub. Crispin Freeman alone makes it better than "passable".
