Fairy Gone
Setting was interesting, but are we seriously having another scenario of naive MC chasing after someone dear to them while standing on opposite sides and that someone will drag the explanation out for as long as possible just cause. But I'll give it a few episodes, maybe it'll go in another direction.
...she really said "Both of you, stop! Why won't you?!" - Thief vs Security btw. |

Fate/Apocrypha
At the beginning it said sth. along the lines of that this holy grail war isn't about masters, servants, etc. but about fulfilling their wishes. Furthermore Ruler Jeanne gets summoned and she wonders why she's there and sais there was a mistake with the summoning and keeps saying that there's something wrong with this holy grail war. Coupled with the homunculus that becomes self-aware and the intro dragon person sounding like that homunculus and that woman would fit Jeanne, was predictable he'd become her master. Also Saber of Black sacrifices himself for his wish. So if beginning is true, basically it means this holy grail war everybody does what they want even though "plot is holy grail war" but actually it's not so it's just a jebait for all these masters and servants to struggle (physically and emotionally) for entertainment of the struggles sake and not actually about someone/one side getting the holy grail like in its premise/beginning setting.

Action. Art, design and stuff looks great. Like the pacing especially at the beginning. Slow and steady explaining everything, building the setting, almost like the mc when he's walking. Fitting pacing, not boring at all. At the end I thought there'd be a plot twist with Cibo or the mc :D:D Would've been great either way. |

Death Note
Psychological, Thriller
Interesting throughout the anime (just before the interest in the current situation/conflict is dropping a new factor changes the flow of the story, making it mostly impossible to predict). (I was only able to predict the end) 2 Point of views: One who sees some humans as hopeless/unsaveable and one which dedicated itself to the current system, it morals and ethics. One can understand both sides and call them right, making the conflict even more interesting. |
10 | TV | 37 |
64 |
Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu
Action, depth, but ending was rushed and cut off. The tension and story which was built up to the war between Roland and Gastark unexpectedly wasn't solved. Furthermore plot holes like the story of the Black Hero, Demon inside Ryner, why his father and Lucile are ghosts. Besides Kiefer was just let out of the story, she could've been more involved.

Episodes towards the end were way better than prior ones. Sometimes a whole lot of nothing burgers, stalling pointless blabla or really slow pans on scenery too often, etc. so that basically nothing was happening.Additionally for how often there were talks about indepth feelings and philosophy there was no kind of big reveal or takeaway unlike expected. I mean if there's lots of deep talk there's gotta be some conclusion/takeaway or once again it's just a full circle of nothing besides that the whole premise of this Anime (Weissmann's research and what he hoped to achieve with it was a failure). |

Initial score, 5, episodes watched 3, On-Hold:
1 Episode per half of novel volume. Too fast paced. Meh. After finishing, score 6 - 6.75, with 6.75 being biased enjoyment rating with additional knowledge from having read the novel. rushed pace, barely get to know characters so they're pretty shallow and main content/story is macro story progression, so because of mainly telling the story through macro story progression and its pace that leaves little room for world/atmosphere building and indepth character interactions. |

8: good till 15,16 where ranka becomes pathetic and naive (when her brother asks her, if this is what she wants to do, she answers yes. At the end of the episode she asks Alto and her brother in her mind if this is what she should do)
- ep 16: rankas first time watching a battle, yes she's only 16, blabla, still so naive and annoying from then onwards it continues that way -> 7 last 2 episodes better with 8 leading to 7.6 total, but still doesn't deserve 8 as score |

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
Not my type.
Not really sure why. Characters are so pathetic, for example Sayaka (in the morning depressed being a zombie, then after talking to Kyoko pretending to be alright etc., giving up on the one she loved even though she was able to confess) Main character took so long to make that wish <_< Kyubey said from the beginning that everything can be wished, so why not instantly wishing that magical girls don't turn into witches or like Madoka wished she erases them before they turn into witches. With the wish I suggested Madoka might even be alive. |

1st watch, score 5
SPOILER ALERT, if someone else reads this: Expected it to be the princess from the beginning. Chest crest was the only double one so that was weird. The prison cell encounter was weird with why she wanted to hold his hand. She was the one to yell to the MC to go ahead, cause he's the one she wanted to frame. She appeared weak regarding combat, though Saints are supposed to the selected from the strongest ones. Furthermore she's acting super naive, protective of the MC when he gets accused, imo cause she KNOWS that he's innocent and if he got killed, she could be like "see, I was trying to tell you guys from the start it wasn't him" so the others wouldn't suspect her later on. As for the new 7th no idea, but my current guess is the MC himself, but would they even allow that to have the MC as the bad guy? Though that might be fine, cause he's not really bad just not a real saint and simply made to have the saint crest to cause infighting. 2nd watch, 7 - 7.5 A bit ridiculous/coincidental/what are the chances of it that mc fell in love at first sight. I think the princess held mc's hand to give him a crest. Might be confusing to follow what's going on as a first time viewer. |

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2
Solid, but it's annoying how so many people know the truth/the secrets on what's going on and refuse to say anything upon being questioned. They better have a good reason later on. Imo sometimes a bit too drawn out gore. Annoying figuring out what's going on/following character motivation when Ymir's motivation to follow Reiner and Bertholdt is, because she knows that the walls have no future meaning they won't be safe anymore. But she chooses not to say this and lies by saying they're threatening to kill her etc. continues saying that she stole something in the past blabla. even though she was the one that threatened them to grab Krista/Historia immediately. Then later on she notices that Eren has the Coordinate, so living within the Walls does have a future, but Ymir still decides to go back and help Reiner and Bertholdt for at that moment no apparent reason. Later on the 3 are safe and Ymir says that repaying what she once took (again unclear if it's referring to "life" as in she took a life and regained human form so gained her "2nd life" or the person she killed could switch forms and she gained that ability). So now that previous story she told was lies mixed with truth. Ok, makes sense, but difficult to follow as a viewer. I found it difficult to follow even with pausing and trying to figure out what Ymir just said in the middle of the conversation and why. Another confusing thing is that Ymir and the other prisoners get injected with something and then thrown off the wall, afterwards she's a Titan. So humans invented this as punishment? Additionally when Berthold and Reiner get questioned, Berthold says they have no right to even apologize and then says "someone please find us" ??? What's that supposed to mean. And follows up with someone needs to get their hands bloody. So confusing talks super aware that they're the evil guys and seemed as if wanting to say that they should kill them for redemption but doesn't. If they truly felt so bad, why not stop, return Eren and be judged???

8 total, but what annoyed me was kirito's weak combat prowess they mentioned over and over again, though he showed off combat prowess after returning from sao even against his sister episode 15 with only 2 months of rehab (though he said it's fine), he did admit though that she's stronger than him. Furthermore concert, everyone only had to take off the Augma's, can't cause reasoning players are so focused on the fight due to previous events. Yuuna simply had to tell them since she's so popular. And see there afterwards she goes on stage and reaches everyone.

Sword Art Online: Alicization
7.5
Episode 1: That bs situation of how Alice trespassed into the Dark Territory. Such bs. How do they not know the way back especially with how the dragon was positioned and the blue heavy sword that they left right in the direction they came from. And how did he not even parry the Deathgun, knows swordsmanship irl and got even more polished due to playing using the Augma (AR), just throwing the "weak body" stuff isn't very convincing as the other guy seems to have a weak constitution too. Wtf Kirito after what he's been through does another weird part-time job with VR/Full-Dive. On top of that he can't bring memories into the real world, so basically he doesn't even know what's happening to him there. Like wtf, so it's not even him testing stuff and giving feedback (which for a normal VR testing job might be normal to hire him since he's got a lot of experience with that stuff). How is that supposed to be safe, yes implant sensor for the heart to see if there's any physical aftereffects, but completely ignore the mental aspect. How do they/he not consider this especially that he won't be able to remember or that they're messing with his memories at all (yea it's "only" a block, but he still experiences that stuff since memory gets written into the soul (Fluctlight, while he also mentioned that the Fluctlight blocks him being able to bring the memories into the real world). Like what if he's being abused or sth. like that in there, he won't remember, nice ... wtf. Oh and he only has memories of the "test dives at the very beginning" (either beginning of each dive or only first few tests). His reason: "He wants to know where Full-Dive technology is headed." Oh and "you can experience the virtual world several times longer than the actual dive time", yeah totally doesn't sound dangerous or harmful in the long run at all... (Were talking about Alice in Wonderland/ The Underworld) When he heard the name Alice he said it felt like a memory was about to surface. "It's like there's something I need to do right away." Says that and seems bothered but seems to be only about the feeling when the memory was about to surface and not about that this Soul Translator technology is actually affecting him mentally. Thinks the Soul Translator is an extension of Heathcliff's philosophy and thus doesn't intend to research this technology, but rather wants to go to America (next-gen full-dive technology is more advanced there). He thinks STL isn't simply a machine for full-dive, but for researching the human consciousness and Fluctlights. Episode 12: "Plotting to seize the Cardinal System's authority level, she composed a lengthy sacred art command and recited it." Since sacred arts are nothing but system calls/commands this is so freaking dumb. Why does this game allow someone to reach an authority level in which you can create your own commands?! Last episode didn't really catch me emotionally. Was kinda meh. Most interesting part was the full circle back to the beginning with the guys from GGO. Episode 19 ending music: Niji no Kanatani - ReoNa |

Great characters ("vivid" characters with how they act/personalities and beliefs) for example Askeladd or Thorkell. Like the plot twist with Askeladd, which imo worked so well with how it was a viable option that the viewer was kinda aware/has thought of but discarded due to Askeladd's personality of being crafty and viewers are kinda rooting for him so it's easier to discard plans that require sacrifice. Also like the stories/myths they told and kept mentioning which gave the majority of the characters and factions more depth. |

I think it can probably in-lore be explained/argued how Mary was so OP and managed to beat mc via brute force despite experience and combat skill difference, but it was to the point that it was in my opinion a little ridiculous/a bit too much. Grudge-Minton. Thought this was the usual sports anime where everyone shoots for number one while focus mainly on practice and so on.
However it's actually literally high school girls that are having beef with each other and instead of the "uhh you're such a backstabbing liar" they are trying to get back at each other at badminton. Full of drama. Yes, Seinen genre that's why more mature tone with the drama, but the sports genre feels like a side topic only serving as setting while the main focus is drama. Overall annoying to watch. |

Kinsou no Vermeil: Gakeppuchi Majutsushi wa Saikyou no Yakusai to Mahou Sekai wo Tsukisusumu
fanservice centric, not that bad, because it's not over the top actually kind of decent, but coupled with bad/low quality story writing and a little more than sometimes bad/repetitive common anime lines from having watched other animes makes it kind of meh. Additionally animation sometimes is meh or borderline decent. There's no real involvement/regular interaction like same classes or sth. etc. between mc and Rex so as a viewer it doesn't make sense that mc keeps going out of his way to help Rex, so this mc-rex buddy relationship doesn't make sense and thus as a viewer one doesn't care about what's happening/the helping segment and just want to get it done with. Also there's no real red story line. It's just daily school life/walking around scenes and then stuff happens making mc getting involved, it feels kind of scene to scene-ish. Yes, mc is in his 2nd school year and one could count school progression as a red story line, but it isn't, too macro, the progress is too unspecific, there'd need to be more school lessons epsiodes or viewer doesn't even learn what mc is actually learning/being taught in those classes (maybe 1-2x in one of the earlier episodes, but that's it), or doesn't have classmate interactions and tasks, etc. like in Harry Potter. The way it is in this anime it's mainly setting and there's basically no main story that the mc is actively pursuing/involved in. The school year progression and Velemt story progression is unspecific, it happens when it happens, there's nothing where the viewer goes I'm looking forward to this and that, there's no progression nor short term goal that the viewer wants to stay around to watch. Only that the mc wants to reach platinum rank as a macro goal, but that's like Ash in Pokemon saying I want to be Pokemon Master, too macro. Pokemon and micro goals like badges, next town, traveling to the next town, stuff that happens with his pokemons be it troubles or some event/quest/story they get involved in, etc.

Lost interest after first few minutes, because it jumps straight into the middle probably even end of story trying to be all mysterious by leaving viewer clueless on what's going on while all the characters are being sentimental towards fighting each other. Hate that stuff, cause "preview" too long and feels like they do it simply because it's a directing method. Don't know what's going on so literally wasting 3-4 minutes watching confusing stuff. Furthermore it seems like cliched friends/lovers fighting each other because they have to or need to due to different opinions or whatever.

Seems solid 6.5 - 7, mainly because I'm already so used to the anime character types of the characters in this anime, so them and their interactions aren't that new or interesting anymore. Only interested in the badminton game part, but there's way more setting/interaction stuff that I just dropped it.If I didn't mind the character types, setting, etc. I'd probably watch the entire anime and it seems like ~ 7 so far.

Feels like writers try too hard to make/gave characters quirky traits/try too hard to make characters be characters. Too much fanservice already at the start, big booba kosher/pure and hoenst girl, big booba onee-san, and then even one more big-booba girl already all from the get-go as teammates, harem blabla. Soy, sis-con, mc or sth. like that. |
