Dr. Stone: New World Part 2

Years ago, astronaut Byakuya left behind precious materials in the belief that his son, the scientifically-gifted Senkuu, would one day find them. In the present, the Kingdom of Science's Kohaku and Ginrou have infiltrated the harem of the Petrification Kingdom’s leader with the help of Amaryllis, a local girl. At first, their mission progresses without a hitch. Unfortunately, an error enacted by Kohaku and Ginrou leads Minister Ibara and the Island’s strongest warrior, Moz, to identify the intruding duo as enemies.

Even worse, Moz tails Amaryllis when she returns to inform Senkuu of the news, discovering the scientist's secret hideout. However, Moz's agenda does not align with Ibara's—he wants to dethrone the minister and keep the petrification device for himself. If Senkuu plays his cards right, he could gain a powerful ally and win the war once and for all.

Amidst the marvel of modern gadgets, it's easy to overlook the millennia of human ingenuity that propelled us from the stone age to the internet age. Dr. Stone stands out by taking a moment to celebrate the humanity behind the technology, a quality often missed in other sci-fi shows.

The third season embraced a new genre with a tense spy thriller arc in its first half, providing both scientific breakthroughs and emotional ... depth. The evolving connection between Kohaku and Senku added a layer of richness to the narrative, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

As the anime introduced farming and the prospect of a burgeoning civilization, the focus shifted towards uncovering the source of the petrification event over 3,000 years ago. The season intricately navigated through story arcs, from oceanic voyages to diplomatic meetings and perilous infiltrations.

Each episode delivered a unique and compelling experience, ranging from intense battles to ingenious repurposing of technology. The incorporation of historical and scientific elements, including a nod to the Apollo 11 mission, highlighted the anime's commitment to education while ensuring accessibility.

While the meticulous pacing of the first season was absent, the progression from radio to spy earpieces and drones showcased the absurdity of expecting the same pacing for increasingly complex recreations of past inventions.

I have now watched everything out for Dr. Stone and I can say this show is certainly a show to binge. How anyone could watch this seasonally with huge IRL time gaps is beyond me. This show is truly junk food as ive said in every review for this show and plagued with: mediocre charecters that are one dimensional, bad writing, CATCH PHRASES, no stakes, nothing matters, stereotypes, hyper sexualization of charecters for no real reason (outside of a few new world plot points), and the mysteries that are in the show arnt even that good.

But all of that being said, watching this show up ... until this point all in 1 week was acceptable, and some how slightly better then the average show that is coming out, and atleast its diffrent despite really being a sub genera of Isekai and really not trying to hide that its a battle Shonen at heart.

This season is more of the same, I dont think its gotten better or worse since the end of season 1, so regardless of what you think about my opinion that should be good to hear if you do like this show.

Did 3rd season part 1 make for a good lullaby before bed? Well prepare to wake the f*** up samurai, because its BATTLE SHOUNEN TIME, thats right! Dr. Stone is now a battle shounen! Even if the mangaka smoked the wrong stuff during his creative spurt. How one goes from restoring humanity with scientific trial and error, to a fever dream is frankly unexplainable. So, do you love Beyblade and many other kodomomuke battle shounen? Well Part 2 of season 3 delivers almost too in this category, if not, prepare to cry tears, of disappointment! As you wade through a complete disaster.
