This movie was a treat to watch, I had a special edition DVD from 1989 I got as a kid, watched it once and thought it was like a 5/10, Sold the Movie on ebay and realized I should probably rewatch it again. This time around I realized how much I missed hand drawn Animation. And my god this movie was very well animated. The story was good enough, and the mechs were enjoyable to watch.
As a 30yo adult in 2024 I dont know a single other person who has watched the Patlabor series, but they are missing out and it forsure a must

I have now watched everything out for Dr. Stone and I can say this show is certainly a show to binge. How anyone could watch this seasonally with huge IRL time gaps is beyond me. This show is truly junk food as ive said in every review for this show and plagued with: mediocre charecters that are one dimensional, bad writing, CATCH PHRASES, no stakes, nothing matters, stereotypes, hyper sexualization of charecters for no real reason (outside of a few new world plot points), and the mysteries that are in the show arnt even that good. This season felt like it went by a bit too fast. Anything that fit the plot just kinda happens spontaneously, despite everything up until this point being a lengthy explanation or excursion to obtain. With death meaning nothing in this show, nor stakes ever meaning anything up until this point. You know that the main charecters will prevail no matter what happens. If you have made it this far you know what the show is all about. I think there was a bit of a decline of the show with this season, but its all still watchable junk food. I think this show was a bit of an improvement as the worst 2 charecters: Yuzuriha and Taiju (the worst charecters) are not as much as a focus as much as they were in the beginning of season 1. This was a fun 30 minutes (6 episodes at about 5 min each without the outro). As someone that is caught up on the UC timeline and has seen every non builders or SD series of Gundam, I felt very rewarded that I could identify what every mobile suite was from or based off of. This show for at least season 1 can best be described as anime's take on a 1v1 battle in a CIV game where one player went for Domination and the other player simultaneously went for Science and culture. This show is both realistic while being unrealistic, funny yet with high stakes. That being said they took the Shonen battle anime formula and honestly the "stakes" don't seem that high as you know that the main charecters will prevail.
