Koukaku no Regios

Same director and both have strong leads who dislike fighting and an unknown past.  

The character design is very similar to DNYND, and both the main character don't really like to show off their powers. Also, in the same way that Alfon Alseif is being manipulated by the President there, Kalian Ross, Reiner Lute from DNYND is also being manipulated by the king, Sion Astal, to find the Hero relics. Both are very good shows, although the ending of DNYND suggests that the series hasn't ended yet. 

First of all Both main characters would rather not use their power, and secondly both animes contain slightly supernatural fighting. Legend has more us of powers though, but either way if you can make it through the first 3 episodes of legends or chrome shelled regios you'll be addicted. -Both main charecters are very OP (overpowered) Legend is more sad, while chrome is more of a fun action with a less deep story. overall both are a good 8-9/10 anime if you can get into them maybe even a 10.  

CSR and DenYuuDen are similar due to the fact that both main characters have a dark past and they try to hide it, Both are Action,Comedy and adventure along with strong main characters. If you liked one, try the other. 

Both protagonists are very powerful people Ryner Lute(Alpha Stigma bearer) Layfon Alseif(One of the heavenly sword weilders). Both want nothing to do with fighting and want to be left alone. Both have a friend that has high status in CSR (chairman) in DYD (king). Both have a girl that is likes them but won't admit it. Both have good OP songs. Both are packed with loads of action and cool fighting scenes. Huge display of power from both protagonists and other characters. 

-Both revolve around exceedingly strong male leads who are reluctant to use their abilities for various reasons -Both shows have the same director, which could explain why the "feel" the same, even though their settings are quite different 

Both boy protagonists are very strong. Instead of making use of that power, they decide to live an easy life where you dont need to fight to survive. They both get forced to join the fight platoons where they will be fighting strong beasts/magic users. They are both relaxing/interesting anime, I highly recommend it. 

Male MC's are trying to hide their true power and live their lives free of troubles. This of course doesn't happen and instead they get into trouble and fight prety often. Both male leads are somehow exiled from their home city/country. 

-both have a very strong male protagonist.(who try to hide their claws) -very much killing involved (monsters & humans) -both have very fine art and nice Soundtracks. 

- Well, both are from the same creators and feature strong main leads. - The main character is pretty strong but doesn't want to fight. - Both of the main characters is supported by a strong female lead that cares for him. - Both shows leave you hoping that there will be a second season. Do you like awesome powers? Do you like a protagonist that initially tries to hide his amazing abilities? Do you like fights between awesome power users? Do you like some minor drama and character growth with your super powered protagonist's? Do you like a female lead who's also pretty awesome? Well if all of these above or just a few of them sound like an anime you would like to see. Then I strongly recommend both anime they are just that good and if you haven't seen them they are a must see. read more 

In common: Similar mc who is rather weak in terms of their official status in the school, but turns out to be the most powerful badass around. Similar school uniforms and combat suits. Laid back protagonists. Pure wish fulfilment self insert mc's. Pseudo harem approach. Both mc's extremely capable to the point that usual equipment cannot bring out their maximum potential. Both mc's coerced into taking up positions that require fighting. Similar supporting characters. Similar character designs. Unique to Mahouka: Cute little imouto. Siscon male mc. Brocon female mc. A boy enrols in a brand new high school to "learn" new things but more or less another reason. They both join a group, 17th Platoon or the student council/disciplinary committee. Similarities: - Both have a protagonist who has others originally consider him weak - Both protagonists are both absurdly overpowered - Both protagonists have a sort of impassive attitude - Schools for learning combat skills (although Mahouka's does more than just combat) - Student council is somewhat similar to the 17th 

They both have main characters who are stronger than they appear. Hiding their powers from others until the end.  

Both anime are about the super-trained man of arms who thinks that he is defective human and who has to act not for himself. But motivation, emotion and entourage of protagonists are slightly different. 

Both main characters are very powerful and are much stronger than most or every other character in its series. They both at the start are viewed to be weak by others for certain reasons, but are shown to be very capable. 

OP protagonist. Multiple love interests. What makes me like these 2 series are that they both have more time to explore the relationship and bonding between characters (since the protag is already OP so nothing to see there).  

Both series have strong MC's. The series are about fighting against monster incects.Also, MC's are branded as traitors.In both series people live inside a city with protection against the monster incects and the toxic anvironment. 

They both share the same exact premise except ones in the air and kuusen is about 10 times better storyline and animation. its basically chrome shelled region if it was remade perfectly 

-Both have a really strong main male character. -Both have a school environment. -Both main characters are considered traitors in the story. -Both series are about fighting Monster insects. -Both have comedy, action, harem and ecchi. 

Kuusen and chrome have a lot of similarities that spring to mind. *Both the main characters are extremely powerful and branded as traitors. (In kuusen MC is kanata age) (In chrome the MC is layfon alsief) *In chrome they live in mobile city's that move around and in kuusen they live in aerial city's. *The city's they both end up in are known as "Academic" city's. *Both main characters end up having to join a team that are pretty weak. *Both worlds are post apocalyptic and overrun by giant insects.  

Both anime revolve around a super OP MC who is seen as a traitor. Both anime are based on cities that were destroyed. One is in the air while the other is walking. Both anime are hunted down by Alien Buglike Creatures. Both MC are put into a situation they aren't fond of, but learn to accept it. Both Anime are Harem. Both anime got a 10 star review from me. in my honest opinion, these two anime follow the same path but are still bloody amazing! -JNutter3006 

The settings are similar as well as the whole military combat type characters. Barsburg Empire and 7th District is similar to Chrome Shelled Regios' Grendan and Zuellni. 

this anime is about military academic that only selected potential children to become the host Mikhail eyes that possessed GOD power whoever hold this power will rule over world. 

Both involve an overly powerful boy who tries to hide his powers and past. They each are only 1 season and both end awfully with a lot of unanswered questions. They both leave a viewer with huge hopes for a season 2. Hope this doesn't steer anyone away from watching either though lol. 

Both series features military in a more futuristic and has dystopian/utopia themes mixed in. Both series has plenty of actions but also some mystery behind the scenes involving certain events. Both series has plenty of action, drama, magic, military, and similar themes.  

MCs are pretty much clones. Both way op, passive nature, arguably shallow character depth. Flock of girls chasing after them. 

Both follow a strong male main character who likes to help people. 

With great action, it also deals with blades and alter-universe type settings. 

Super extraordinary hyper empowered male protagonist! 

main- is far pass others in skill, he tries to be hides his powers but fails, he is surrounded by girls, but is really thick headed. Both would rather not fight,but can. and in the past, they only fought setting is mostly around a school for the "special talent" fighters can summon their own "weapons"  

Different in many ways, but very similar in general: the strongest protagonist who initially has no interest in events around and hides own talent, but at the end begins to feel responsible and to fight for others. In Seikishi the accent is slightly more pronounced on harem and ecchi elements, but in Regios characters development is more complex. Also both in contrast to a lot of pure harem anime have the extended duration (24 versus 12 episodes) and the high quality of the plot.  

both have a cool male character. both have many girls. both are Action and Fantasy. both the main character have sad and dark past . 

Both series contain fantasy themes involving action, fantasy, comedy, drama, and a little romance. Both series contains a futuristic setting that possesses technology beyond modern time. Both series contains some emotional, political, and personal conflicts through some episodes. Both series contain military themes with female characters playing some dominant roles.  

Mobile Cities. Good character interactions and relationships. Fighting creatures. Student vibes 

Both of the series have an Main Character that are relatively Over Powered Main Character. Both of the worlds are contaminated and are traveling in over sized soap bubbles. Both of the environments are contaminated. Chrome shelled Regios does not have as much romance as Darling in the FranXX though.  

- In both Animes humans live within protected cities - In both Animes teams of human fighters go out and protect the cities from being attacked by the monsters. - In both Animes main character is different than the ordinary citizens.  

The world of apocalypse. People live being under threats of monsters attacks. There are extraordinary people that have military roles and struggle with monsters to survive. Special weapons exist to slay monsters. All of mentioned above you will find in Chrome Shelled Regios as well as in Got Eater. 

The setting is in a post apocalyptic world. These monsters known as Gastrea are taking over Human Kind and pushing the world into panic. Just like the "Contaminoids" are in Chrome Shelled Regios. Both monsters have regeneration abilities once they reach a certain stage and also have similar styles when it comes to following the stronger/more advance staged monster. Both shwos have advanced style weaponry used for fighting off these monsters. Plus a little cuteness never hurt anyone. Not to mention the capability of both Main Characters. Just all in all a similar setting with similar style monsters and awesome main characters. 

1. Post-apocalyptic setting 2. Cool male MC 3. Similar beasts 4. Both give the same vibe. Though in my opinion Black Bullet is better in terms of artwork and enjoyment. 

Humans live in a mobile city/military city protected by glass shell and they can't go outside because of alien like creature and the atmosphere is not stable 

In a post-apocalyptic setting, humanity have been feared by these unidentified monsters that are attacking humans. The characters, in here, usually stay in a place that is shielded around them to prevent them getting killed. To counter attack these creatures, the military used tactical strategies to fight them off and finding the mystery of their origins. Swords, and supernatural themes were used in combat. The difference is that Chrome Shelled Regios, is somewhat more of a light tone, battling monsters, and uses magic to fight. Shingeki, features a much more darker tone, battling "Titans", and uses a 3D maneuver gear to fight. 

Power is the theme, If you are looking for an anime where the protagonist is able to beat anyone, anywhere, anytime, then these anime definetly both meet the criteria 

they're both quite serious but can be funny as well and they both have mysterious characters as mains, they have a lot more in common but if it's too long you might not bother reading this so have fun XD  

both contain charaters fighting against creatures who kill humans when the get the chance.D.gray-man its akumas and chrome shelled regios its filth monsters 

At start Tower of Druaga seems to be more easy-going than Chrome Shelled Regios, however, as the plot goes further it becones more serious. Both series have quite similar atmosphere: the characters have to stay always alert to survive, though they cannot control the whole situation. The characters are also similar Layfon is mix of Jil and Niba (sometimes naive as Jil, sometimes cruel as Niba) Sharnid and Melt are like two peas. And the last thing - both are a mixture of comedy, drama and fantasy. 

Both characters not only hide their powers, but have backstories that are hidden and rarely explained. The both start unknown, become somewhat acknowledged early on, but holds back true potential for later on when they need it to overcome.  

holy crap this anime is so familar yet so different pumpkin scissors is like in an era of war and underdeveloped guns and chrome shlled regios has a bunch of high tech stuff. yet the characters couldnt be any more alike 

Both animes involved fighting insects that pose a danger to the people living in the world. 

Killing giant bugs with military hardware. 

- Both occur in a post apocalyptic world - Remaining Humans in both of them live in dome-shaped cities - The protagonist in both of them is an immigrant from another city  

Both main characters are strong and and have an independent mindset. In the romance aspect, the lead female is strong but not as strong as the main character and they both find that frustrating 

Both main heros use magic katans, also it is similar by the feeling you get after watching it. 

Like Kenshin, Layfon just wants to start a new life. They both mask their true self and pretend to be ordinary; when in fact they are master swordsman. They both have girlfriends that are determined and also skilled at the sword.  

Characters wield hand-sized portable weapons that can transform into daggers, swords, shields, guns, snipers, etc. (DITE in CSG; Trigger in WT) Squads are formed for competition and ranking. Everyone battles monsters that invade the city.
