- She has starred in several anime series with Toyoguchi Megumi in which their characters are part of the same teams.
- She has starred alongside Hoshi Soichiro whereby her character had a hand in saving Soichiro's character.
- In the first half of Hanaukyo Maid Tai La Verite episode 5, Mariel, who was voiced by Rie, cosplays Chi from Chobits, who was also voiced by Rie.

Tanaka Rie is the voice acting queen of deranged, batshit insane, sadomasochistic female villains and evil psycho bitches, such as Suigintou in Rozen Maiden, Tomoe Marguerite in My-Otome, Yamanobe Sayara in Mnemosyne -Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi and maybe the craziest of them all, Liang Qi in CANAAN. This is the same Tanaka Rie who voices sweet, gentle, soothing characters like Lacus Clyne in Gundam SEED, Chii in Chobits, Sammy in Eve no Jikan and Maria in Hayate no Gotoku!, and sings beautiful songs like "Fields of hope" (Gundam SEED Destiny), "Ningyo Hime" (Chobits), "Eternal" (Mabinogi) and "Freesia" (Rockman Zero IV / Megaman Zero IV).
