The Magical Kingdom of Klyrode summons hundreds of heroes from other worlds every year to fight in their war against the Dark One and his army of powerful demons. Banaza is one of those heroes, summoned from the Royal Capital Paluma, but something's not right—Banaza is only an average merchant. He has no magic, no fighting ability, and his stats are abysmal. Worse, a mishap leaves him unable to return home! Rejected as a hero and stranded in another world, abandoned to the far reaches of the kingdom by a cruel king who just wants him gone, Banaza's fate looks pretty bleak. But what will happen once the failed hero candidate finds himself with super cheat powers once he hits level two? (Source: J-Novel Club)

I've seen the earlier chapters of the manga and it was definitely interesting but the fun went 180 for me.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to see how they adapt this series. (P.S. don't quote me that it's adapted from LN)

I've seen the manga of this pop up before me many times.

@tsenglol

The problem with the isekai/reincarnation trend though is that you can describe a single one without making it obvious which one you're talking about

I can't think of any other trend THAT generic

Thats honestly a trend I'd like to see

@EcchiGodMamster well yeah, thats how usually Narou and Kakuyomu trends go, something get popular then they start copying it using a samey template, some fail and other happen to get serialized, like 2020-2021 was the year of the "serves you right" or "zamaa" trend, which is where mc get traumatized by girls during childhood, he cut them off and then the girls regret it and try to get close to him again, there was a bunch of them, but i only really remember 4 of them which happen to have manga adaptations lol

3 of them are here, being Nyanta and Pomeko: Even If You Say You Believe Me Now, It's too Late., other is I'm Sick and Tired of My Childhood Friend's, Now Girlfriend's, Constant Abuse so I Broke Up with Her and The Girls Who Traumatized Me Keep Glancing at Me, but Alas, It's Too Late., the other is I Cut Ties With the Beauties That Always Made Fun of Me, but It Seems That They Actually Love Me.

Wonder if in a few year we're going to see some of these getting anime lmao

@tsenglol

yea i know, LN usually take several years to get adapted, but the joke is still funny, cause they might as well have had AI back then, or maybe the authors all took the same writing class

@EcchiGodMamster I mean people keep saying this about AI or whatever even if is a joke, but never take into account that some of these works are old and just now they are getting adaptations, like the WN of this originally is from early 2014 and the LN was published in 2016, been one of the trend starters in Narou and getting anime as one of the latest

If these novels were getting their adaptations earlier, people wouldn't be making such a shit deal out of it

Another cheat skill isekai anime? They definitely have to be using ChatGPT to create these stories 💀💀💀

@Softhenic03 You too.. lol

Yeah I thought this was aired already, my god there are so many and they look so similar it can be confusing

yeahhhhhh! it is here! love it!

Oct 16, 2023 7:21 AM by Kenfahmiii

@Ionliosite2 It's also the same director (and studio) as Zero no Tsukaima! Id be surprised if it wasn't on purpose lol

Oct 15, 2023 5:54 PM by DatRandomDude

Do you think the sound engineer is a secret fan of Louise and Saito? But what's the point if the protagonists of this show aren't a similar S&M duo?

Oct 15, 2023 4:54 PM by RobertBobert

Is no one pointing out they got the Zero no Tsukaima leads together?

Oct 15, 2023 4:38 PM by Ionliosite2

@Piromysl Tropes are just tools and you won't have any problems if they are used wisely. But what surprises me more is that such shows are complained about either by people who will never watch them anyway, or by people who still continue to watch and discuss every such show. So, if even the West can't stop being obsessed with mediocre isekai, why should the Japanese?

Oct 15, 2023 1:24 PM by RobertBobert

@Softhenic03 It hasn't had an adaptation before. Perhaps you are confused because beast-girls are quite popular now.

Oct 15, 2023 1:00 PM by RobertBobert

But this already aired last year or maybe this year... then why again?

Oct 15, 2023 12:40 PM by Softhenic03

@Piromysl

i miss back in 2017 when i could DEFINITIVELY SAY that Hundred was the most generic anime ever...

people who thought battle harems were the epitome of genericism had NO IDEA what was coming... cause as generic as they were for the time.. they didnt' seem like "carbon copies" of eachother..

now the industry is INTENTIONALLY being AS GENERIC AS FUCKING POSSIBLE to the point where they even jokingly name LNs after the fact

Oct 15, 2023 12:21 PM by EcchiGodMamster

"It's time for the next copy carbon fantasy land isekai"

Yes, honey...

Oct 15, 2023 12:01 PM by Klad

This looks my type of anime as someone who loves isekai .. looking forward to watch it .

Oct 15, 2023 11:57 AM by Rimuru0001

@EcchiGodMamster This is what we call Stock Light-Novel Hero and yup, it's a crime upon creativity. But as long as it sells for some reason, we will only get more.

Oct 15, 2023 11:49 AM by Piromysl

@Piromysl

I'm honestly convinced they're using AI to write these short black/brown haired OP mc, medieval setting, pseudo harem copy paste monster isekai/reincarnation anime

Cause there's NEVER been a trend of anime SO SIMILAR to eachother that shows borderline on plagiarizism

Why does every other show have to be medieval???

When did anime become so God damn safe??

How desperate is the industry??

What of instead of making 20 of these a year they just randomly adapted a variety of manga and just see what people like
