The editorial department of Shogakukan's Gessan (Monthly Shounen Sunday) magazine announced on Monday that Souichirou Yamamoto's Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (Teasing Master Takagi-san) manga will receive an OVA. The episode will be bundled with the ninth special edition volume shipping on July 12.

The romantic comedy manga began its serialization in Gessan Mini, the supplement brochure to Gessan magazine in June 2012. Following the completion of Yamamoto's Fudatsuki no Kyouko-chan manga in June 2016, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san moved to Gessan in July 2016. The eighth volume went on sale on February 9 (pictured). According to Shogakukan, the manga has sold over four million copies of its compiled volumes in both digital and print.

An anime adaptation began its broadcast this past January and ended on Monday with 12 episodes. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime as it aired in Japan, while Funimation simultaneously streamed an English dub.

Yen Press licensed the manga series for North American release and plans to publish the first volume in July 2018.
