The February 2019 issue of Shogakukan's Gessan
magazine has announced a second anime season of Souichirou Yamamoto
's Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san
(Teasing Master Takagi-san
) manga on Saturday.
Yamamoto launched the romantic comedy manga in Gessan Mini, the supplement brochure to Gessan magazine in July 2012. After ending the serialization of Fudatsuki no Kyouko-chan
in June 2016, Yamaoto transferred Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san
to Gessan the following month. Shogakukan published the ninth volume last July, which included an OVA episode
. The tenth volume is scheduled for a February 12 release. Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san
has a cumulative 4.5 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation, including digital editions.
A 12-episode anime series
aired in Winter 2018 on the Anime no Me programming block, which also adapted Yamamoto's Ashita wa Doyoubi
manga within the show. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles, while Funimation simultaneously streamed an English dub. Funimation will also release the anime in North America on a Blu-ray volume on February 19.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English last January and will publish
the third volume on January 22.
