TV Anime 'Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san' Gets Second Season

The February 2019 issue of Shogakukan's Gessan magazine has announced a second anime season of Souichirou Yamamoto's Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (Teasing Master Takagi-san) manga on Saturday.

Yamamoto launched the romantic comedy manga in Gessan Mini, the supplement brochure to Gessan magazine in June 2012. After ending the serialization of Fudatsuki no Kyouko-chan in June 2016, Yamaoto transferred Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san to Gessan the following month. Shogakukan published the ninth volume last July, which included an OVA episode. The tenth volume is scheduled for a February 12 release. Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san has a cumulative 4.5 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation, including digital editions.

A 12-episode anime series aired in Winter 2018 on the Anime no Me programming block, which also adapted Yamamoto's Ashita wa Doyoubi manga within the show. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles, while Funimation simultaneously streamed an English dub. Funimation will also release the anime in North America on a Blu-ray volume on February 19.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English last January and will publish the third volume on January 22.

if they are smart they will just adapt both, occasionally show the moto chapters briefly at the end of an episode like they did with that other manga they adapted last season.

Too bad I doubt they're gonna do that, especially since those three girls have another spinoff manga they can use.

@VileKurata It won't. In 90 chapters of manga side characters got more development than the main duo. It really is just the same in a different wrapping each chapter/episode.

Hopefully this will have a some sort of decent romance this time.
I hope it doesn't become Konosuba 2.0 in terms of repetitive nature.

It's not easy to find a series more unfit for animation.The boy is a cretin so fooling him takes no skill or smarts and generally barely anything happens. In the manga it's ok because chapters take just a moment to read and rely of humorous or cute shots. Dragging it for a full episode is painfully dull. I already forgot I dropped the anime after 2 episodes.

I kinda dislike this series and I dropped it after episode 3-4 (mainly because of the main two + the length made this extremely boring and repetitive to even watch).

But good for those that likes it tho.
