Nice way to completely derail what I meant....

Anyone have the statistics of age for one piece readers? All I know is that it's not popular enough with teenagers which is ironic. And popular with people older, but it doesn't mention how big or small their size are.

I expected this, One Piece is so popular for little kids
Maybe in the US, but in Japan this couldn't be any further from the truth.

How? Adult readers are in the minority. If it weren't aimed for kids or popular with their group, then why is the series Childish and kid friendly in terms of art, comedy, lack of death, large amount of happy moments, etc.

Even the adult readers are the ones who grew up reading it as kids.

So adults can only enjoy a show when it's full of deaths and less amount of happy moments? Hmm I see. I prefer to stay as a child at heart then, so I must say.

^^^ +100

In every week, all I see from the comment section were "AoT in the top (...)" -.-! MAL has became predictable.

It's kind of hard not to comment on something we see in every new list.

Anyway, I agree with tsudecimo. The list barely changed at all, with a few drops and additions and of course AoT in more than three spots.

Eh. It's not really for kids. If it was, 4kids wouldn't have had so much trouble dubbing it. Additionally, even if they didn't mess up the "this is filler so lets cut it out" and the "lets not have her die, and instead put her into a dungeon!" parts... the series legit couldn't have continued with that demographic. I'm not sure if you're caught up or not... but there is a specific arc that legit is NOT kid friendly in the slightest. It's the most important arc in the entire series, meaning it couldn't be logically skipped over, and it just CAN'T be edited for kids... because it's ALL just NOT kid friendly. Just because of the art, comedy, "lack of death" and "large amount of happy moments", you think it's childish? It's the themes that pull the adult audience. I've dropped plenty of series that I liked when I was younger. Being able to KEEP the reader as he or she ages means it has SOMETHING that works for the age group. :P

EDIT: Kind of funny how dubbers have little trouble making Naruto for kids. Lmao. It's all about the vibe. Naruto has a darker vibe, while OP is lighter. That's why Naruto seems more adult while OP seems more childish. That being said, OP has some really dark themes. Darker than Naruto. This is probably the reason why it's more challenging to make OP for little kids... than it is to make Naruto for little kids.... Eh. whatever.

BTW. I looked at your list and it said that OP was inferior to Naruto and HxH in every single way.... eh. To each their own.

Really surprised One Piece is up there twice, I was plenty surprised when it was up there last week too. Anyways I'm happy for the series.

*obligatory 'AoT still in top 5' comment*
It's become a running joke at my local anime store that they rarely have every volume in stock, and they've started posting to their Facebook page "all Attack on Titan volumes are in, how long will they last this time?"
It was only about half an hour, the last time it happened.

Never heard of Maximum Ride before though.
It's an OEL manga adaptation of a YA novel series by James Patterson. I read the first three volumes, it's not bad. I'm not surprised it's doing this well, given how popular the novels are.
