DVD Release of Independent OVA 'Waza no Tabibito' Announced

According to Weekly Shonen Sunday, mangaka Matsuena Syun's original anime "Waza no Tabibito" was announced to be released in DVD in November.

Story
Humans acquired a perfect source of energy called "Patia", which brought self-sufficiency in food and fuel to all the people in the world. Trade and transportation began to diminish and finally the advance of the civilization terminated. Now the genetically modified plants cover almost all of the lands on earth and obstruct travelers.
Cient, the leader of a fortress city, sets out on a trip to excavate the lost technology "Patia" with his daughter Ruri. When Ruri gets separated from her father, a giant humanoid weapon of the old age attacks her. Ruri is saved by a girl named Tekuni who is traveling around the world training as a "Wazabito" fighter.

What do you expect, a pixar animation? Matsueda do all the work alone with a 3d program tool, is a doujinshi fan made work like Maikaze do with Touhou some times ago, nothing more nothing less.
I appreciate experiments and amateur works, is something different from the standard high budget animation. :)

Personally, it's not the fanservice that puts me off (it seems to be present but not getting in the way of the story, which is fine, rather than being constantly referenced, pointed out, and run into the ground, which annoys me), it's the character art. The backgrounds look GORGEOUS. But the moment I saw the characters, and saw them move... some people have said it looks like an MMO. I'd agree; I had to double-check that it was actually an anime. So I'll probably not watch this.

I don't get it. Do these people read their own posts? Unneeded fanservice? What kind of fanservice IS needed? None, fan service is SERVICE for the fans. If it's meant to appeal to you, you enjoy it, if it's not, you ignore it.

It's like complaining that recently, all anime seems to be about people with TWO eyes. Why do they need eyes? And they all have two of them! They almost never blink anyway. Damn unneeded eyes...

Does your mom hit you or something when there's a pantyshot in anime? It's not like the fact itself makes it bad, it's pretty meaningless by itself, thus judging it solely by that seems pretty stupid to me, but it's not like I care what you watch anyway.

I read the synopsis and thought "Could be interesting", started watching the video and thought "Hey, it looks very nice" and then characters were done with CG ;_; Anyway it's somehow weird but it might actually be kinda fun, or even good. Plus it has Rie, WITH TITS.
