| The original CG anime series "The Midnight★Animals" started airing via the online and cable TV channel "Hikari TV" on August 3rd. The anime is 15 minutes per episode and revolves around cross-dressing animal characters who every night frequent the bars in Savannah Nichoume (a reference to Shinjuku Nichoume, which is well-known for its transvestite bars). The voice actors are drawn from transvestite TV celebrities like Hoshikuzu Scat and KABA.chan. Gonzo is responsible for making the anime. | This could be horrendously problematic and that's slightly scary... but I am encouraged by the fact that they actually employed individuals who cross dress and live the lifestyle. I like to think they wouldn't partake in something too harmful. I'll give it a shot and hope for the best. (It definitely looks adorable but... yeah) |

| After Upotte! and Astarotte no Omocha! nothing fazes me anymore, gonna watch this just for the heck of it. Both in Tokyo Grandparents and in Darker than Black the transvestites were pretty cool dudes too, so this might turn out to be entertaining. |

| I think the premise is pretty interesting, but why animals? Its not like that going to appeal to a broader audience. Transvestites are (as far as i know, it may be different in japan I'd be interested to know.) already a pretty niche thing. Il watch it because i don't think i ever have or will see something quite like this. |
