| Of course it couldn't be anyone else but DEEN. This is a Kadokawa / Ciel Très Très work we're talking about, their collaborations have always worked so far, no reason to stop. But yeah, as usual, the studio isn't the only deal... and my fears are somewhat relieved now that I know a good director such as Yamasaki Osamu is working on it - they could've phoned it in and asked Kon Chiaki to handle it instead, but this is a bit more exciting. |

| I wouldn't dismiss this series just because it's DEEN behind it since they've shown that they are capable of producing some solid stuff like Sankarea if they have the right staff and with Yamazaki Mitsue who directed several episodes of Mawaru Penguindrum there definitely is potential. |

If you know Miyuki Abe-sensei, youalso know that she's famous with her yayois and shounen-ais (Super Lovers, Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike, Kimi wa Boku wo Suki ni Naru). I've read raws of Hakkenden and i really CAN'T SEE any romance O_O But I understand that in anime they can do something different from manga, but I hope they won't, 'couse this is too good :D |

You say there's no romance but try to say it's shounen ai. It's shoujo, get over it. It's originally from the shoujo magazine, Ichiraci, which has been distancing itself from the BL in its former incarnation for years. A bit slashy, but nothing like her actual BL titles. So unless she's going to go in a completely new direction in the new mag, nope. I've raad the raws too and you're fishing way too hard~ |

| I was rejoicing, but then I was remembering it was DEEN. How bishounen-reverse-harem-and-or-Shounen-Ai-ish is the source material? Can anyone tell me? I do NOT want to start watching another Hakuouki or 7-Ghost by accident, but if I ignore my prejudices and previous experiences, this really sounds like I would love it (fantasy + shoujo <3). The director has commited Hakuoki, but he also did Terra e so I'll keep my hopes up and my expectations high. |
