Me specifically? I'm a doctor, but not the kind that helps people. I'm a scientist and an educator. And I'm a HUGE manga freak. Remember that next time you look at one of your professors.
I'm one of the MAL manga moderators. My "specialization" would be BL, shoujo, and Japanese publications in general. But I'm branching out, mostly thanks to all those random submissions. Please post any questions or modification requests here.
I don't watch much anime anymore, so my list is dated and I like it that way. I've also been a gamer most of my life, playing mainly RPGs, BL, and otome games these days. I've also been a rabid manga reader and collector for years. My collection (3400+ books and counting) consists entirely of Japanese import manga that are kept in my own little library. So if you're wondering where I read some specific manga, the answer is "in my comfy chair." My favorite genres are BL, fantasy, and shoujo (especially combinations thereof). I'm probably the biggest English speaking Racish/ Ichibansuki/ Ichiraci fan you'll ever find. Please challenge me on this--I'd like to find another.
A complete listing of my books is available at LibraryThing. I'm (still) adding the missing works to the MAL database while occasionally including original summaries. The specific database additions are listed below, along with descriptions of less obvious genre tags that amuse me. Anything on my list rated 8 and up is a highly recommended read. It seems like a constant work in progress.

Hello there!
I was at the Silver Diamond fan club and i realised that it's one of your favourites & that you're an avid manga reader. >< So..
I'm just wondering where the japanese version is currently at now and where do you get them from.
I know that it was dropped from the scanlating group after Tokyopop had licensed it. :(
But the chinese raws that i've found are in quite a poor quality.
I love the manga a lot and it's killing me that i just have to stop at volume 8. lol. xD

I was just watching the second chapter, I like the concepts they introduce about mind disorders..and that's the weirdest animation I have seen!
Should we add another division in the first post of the paranormal yaoi thread? I added that story from Bannin in the "Others" section, but I see you added some sci fi too..
That just reminded about something that Geisha told me about making an election at the end of the year for the favourite manga. I wonder if we could get enough participation as to vote for the best of every category..but maybe that's too much and it would be better voting as she said one vote for new in 2009, one for older ones. What do you think?

what do you think about Kuchu Buranko? I just watched the first episode and it is so crazy!
Would a sci-fi yaoi be considered fantasy? or would it fit in the paranormal list? I just finished Bannin and the last story has a setting in a distant future, space war, and even alien pets XD. That must be the craziest yaoi I have read, god I love that mangaka's sense of humor, so parody-like!
