| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Good episode with some nice development as well as action scenes, will probably rate it 4/5 after seeing subs. Some of the animation was pretty bad at times, I wonder which company they outsorced parts of this episode too... but the fight scenes were still top notch. |

| Some scenes just look really awkward and it's just in the first half, if my internet wasn't capped during peak time (australian) I'll load some shots now, instead I'll have to wait until off peak which is a long way off.. People were commenting on the 3rd episode having a dip in animation and honestly I had no idea what they were talking about but this was noticeable. |

| Subs are out now. And yes, there were some instances where the animation was definitely pretty dodgy. They make up for it with amazing windmilltran action. |

| Alright, it's getting better! Really cool fighting scenes too, though it felt as the quality of the art was slightly worse than in previous eps :o Might have been just me though... Oh and Ranka really is super cute ;>. |

| A bit too much romance in this episode (and in the next one too I guess), it would be good to mix it with action and some story development too. Still Macross Frontier is a great show, so apart from that I can't complain too much. |

| Every Macross is romance heavy. Romance (especially love triangles) along with mecha and music is the 3 staples of Macross.That's why it has such broad appeal, Kawamori likes his romance, look at Escaflowne which is another show of his. |

| wow, this show is really, really good. the animation was great, there is not too much fanservice and the humour, as well as ranka's moeness make this series worth watching. nice. 5/5. |

| It's actually one of those rare shows for me, where I have to see most scenes two or three times, because they are so enjoyable. This was one of the best episodes so far. I am glad I went through the not so much troublesome trouble to watch older Macross animes only for this. |

| Awesome episode, Alto's princess pose after shooting that guy down + Ranka singing My Boyfriend is a Pilot = 5/5 I'm so glad I went back and watched a bunch of old Macross before I started this, it wouldn't be the same without the background. |
| I think this anime would be much better without the love triangle and more Mecha. Personally I think this anime dosen't fit into the world of Macross. |

| /facepalm lmao Plus had a triangle..... and Zero had the makings of one even though it wasn't serious since it was a one sided crush on Mao's side. If you haven't noticed Kawamori (the guy who made Macross) likes his love triangles as shown by the Macross franchise, Escaflowne and Arjuna. |

| When Ranka sang "Watashi no Kare wa Pilot," I almost cried tears of joy. That one was always my favorite Macross tune. Also, the CG in this series puts everything else I've ever seen to shame. The battles are fast-paced and acrobatic, and I hope they can keep this up. By the way, why is it that Sheryl's hair always seems to have this angelic glow around it whenever she shows up? It's kind of crazy. |

I expected to here it at some point, although am not very crazy about the song it certainly brings memories. Btw i am starting to think that Ranka's voice actor has a little too matured voice for a playing a moe young girl like her. Wtf was the guy doing taking a pose with the mecha? Lol. They are right in teasing him. His looking for it when he makes staff like that. |
| Man, Ranka's weird cellphone keeps amazing me with every new feature it shows! They even brought back the same song!!! Great dogfights as always, and I'm glad Ranka didn't win, it adds much more realism. |
